it's from http://Itch.io, they only usually upload the Steam Page verbatim. but since it didn't come from Steam, i guess they didn't add much else. looks pretty great to me.
i don't disagree. a lot of great indie games come out of http://itch.io. i was just saying that it being from that site is the reason it lacks a full page of information, where as games pulled from Steam get a more robust description. this game is actually pretty great. gonna have to buy it. it's a nice mix of Rimworld and Gnomoria with less focus on confusing and convoluted crafting.
figure out how to tame animals yet? i know you have to designate a fenced in area as an Animal Enclosure, but when i use the ROOM tab, it says there are no Owners/Entities. Also, selecting a farmer and clicking the "tame action" and a chicken doesn't seem to do anything. the games pretty great though. thanks for requesting it, woulda never known it existed otherwise.

I really doubt that u actually "played" Dwarf Fortress, since from ur attitude I can probs tell that u just attempted Dwarf Fortress, then got scared away from its complexity in 2 minutes. Still, I get that Rimworld appeals to a larger audience than dwarf fortress due to both better graphics and a softer learning curve, so I get ur opinion. However, just because it doesn't appeal to a majority of people out there doesn't mean its "crappy." I would rather play Rimworld myself, but I have to say the Dwarf Fortress is both objectively a better game for people really into these simulation type games, as well as what inspired Rimworld. tl;dr Each to their own opinions, but u are denying facts.
I'm not defying facts. I'm ignoring your opinions because that's just what they are, OPINIONS. Rimworld is way better in every which way and I would choose it 1000 times over the abomination you call "Dwarf Fartres."
I have to agree dwarf fortress is less of a game and more of a simulator a very good simulator at that but not really a game. to me its like a flight sim it can be fun and like a game but at the end of the day it ins't a game its just a flight sim no matter how good. Should have checked the FAQ tab it is indeed modeled after dwarf fortress.
Rimworld is inspired by dwarf fortress, it doesn't mean that dwarf fortress is better just that the concept was taken. Dwarf fortress is waaaaaaay older than rimworld.
