If anyone still download this game and got blackscreen after install the latest 2019 update, you guys need to install all the update. including the 2018 update to fix the blackscreen. that method fix my game for getting blackscreen and freezing.
before y'all downloading this i recommend you to add d3dcompiler_47 first. everyone says getting blackscreen but everything is working i already tried. and lastly before installing the update you need lotta backup (dont copy crack from the update its broken) i think the update fucked up everyone lol

Hello. I have an issue with mapping keys to my PS4 controller. As seen in the image when on the equipment screen the 'switch hands' is prioritized over the 'confirm' action so I am unable to use the X button to change equipment. I have to click with the mouse to change equipment. Resetting to default doesn;t help as this is the default mapping for me. Does anyone have any suggestions for this? Thanks in advanced!
why my steamclient64.dll keep disappearing? I can't even start the game. When after extracting the Codex crack file to the game directory the steamclient64.dll gone after 5s. Already done it 5 times now
It is a generic problem, it could be anything. Lack of the prerequisite software installed is quite common for this. There are those two types of prerequisite packages from Microsoft which names I forgot (but basically its C++ and .NET thing) that give no evidence on what's the case of shut down and their lack of causes the game to crash abrubtly during start up sequence. In that case just make sure to install everything from the included "_CommonRedist" folder. For 64 bit system you need both 32 and 64 bit installed, on 32 bit only 32 bit installed. Another issue could harware related.. not saying you hardware is bad, some games don't like some hardware. I have bad PC and it works fine, just make sure you have at least 4GB RAM I guess. Giving it nice big paging file can't hurt as well I guess. As someone pointed out already the minimum spec specified in here are a out of whack. It seems to have very low specs so it shouldn't be a problem. Also obviously don't let it connect to the internet. Other than that I have no idea, sorry :(. It could be a lot of odd things really, too many to mention. For example my PC worked normally but it struggled with some games while some demanding ones ran no problem, it was like that for 1-2 years, in android simulator though it had very bad performance and I even had one blue screen. I noticed the power supply cable was lose, after reseating the cables I had no odd issues anymore.. so it might be something very specific to you like that. I didn't mention updating drivers because if you have any sort of a driver installed I think it should run, this game seems to have very suprisingly low min spec but you might want to try it. Oh and copy the crack files (if there is any) into the game folder but I am sure you did it already. They are usually in one of the folder with the cracking group name on it in the .zip archive you orginally downloaded or in the .iso file (I forgot at the moment).

It seems like updating with the 06/12/2018 patch then the newest one allow me to play on the newest version. I think it had to do with a problem with the .exe. When i tried to update directly to the newest version it showed that the exe was changed with the movie files. After updating with the old version then the new it didnt show that the exe changed.

not very sure what 'game directory means' but what i did was copy paste the api found in the installation file and then went to the file that i get after installation(the game file,which is the place where i go and launch the game) and copy paste it.
"Game directory" meaning the folder or location containing the game files after installation. In this case, being a CODEX release, the default game location or directory is D:\Games\Disgaea 5 Complete. When you're directed to the Steam page it's an indication that there's something wrong with the crack. If you're still having problems, just reinstall the game and check the box that says "Copy contents of CODEX directory to installdir" and it should work.

I haven't play the PC version, but the game in general is decent. The mechanics/quality of life improvements are far and away the best so far. Most of the story is good, but the first and last couple chapters are kind of disappointing.

Works on Intel HD Graphics (its not DirectX 11) with 4 GB RAM (Win7). For 101 error code you need KB4457144 (sp1 for win7) and KB2670838. If you get a black screen with cursor and the game closes after that,you will need to install Framework 4.7.2 (also make sure you have Microsoft Visual C ++ 2017 and DXSETUP installed,you can find those in the _CommonRedist folder). If you have problems with your controller for some reason,just use JoyToKey (set the keyboard controls to the controller). Didn't play to much,but I can say perfomance wise its the same as 1 and 2 for me,So yeah thats all dood :)
Yeah I've found that even with my shitty onboard graphics I can play a lot of games I figured had no chance. Always disappointing to download 10 gigs and it doesnt work, but I'm amazed how much my toaster can do.
It crashes a ton, even with the bought version. Has lots of problems. I had to try 3 times today before after loading I could do anything before a crash.
i performance tested the game on my laptop.. it seems to be locked at 50fps... using a GTX 950m.. and im sure this card is capable of running this game beyond 60 and up..

i said 50 fps.. bro... and yes framerate matters to me... im used at playing at high frame rate... with my main rig... framerate and good frame timing does make a difference.... try playing a shooter game locked at 30 fps and compare it to 140... the movement is more fluid.. and has lesser input lag... but anyways in games like disgeae does not require high frame rate anyways.. 50 fps in this game is acceptable.. but im a perfectionist when it comes to performance..
The "cannot see beyond 60 FPS" thing is a myth and untrue. The brain does not see the world in frames. The U.S. Air Force has experiments where their pilots were able to see in 220 FPS. Also note, that even when there comes a point where you can't "see" the difference, higher frames will still result in smoother gameplay, since games get user input once every frame. So more frames = more responsiveness to input = better gameplay
its not just the eyes.. its the feel man.. but wut ever bro.. but for shooter games.. the higher frame rate does matter if u want to dig into the tiny bits of competitive as much as possible.. higher framerate = lesser input lag.. it matter to me cuz i play competitively in shooters like CSGO.. but then again.. 60 fps in disgaea is only wut im asking.. lolz.. cuz 50 just does not match with a 60hz monitor.. making it sluggish compared to stable 60... just want this to run in lappy cuz its portable as perfect as possible.. but anyways i already fix the problem... if ur satisfied with lower framerate then thats cool man.. but i can run my games.. at higher framerates so might as well take advantage of it... its my own preference.. By the way, the problem I had with the controller going wonkers was because I had Steam opened... I mean it was weird enough that whenever I launched the game I could access to steam overlay and everything... too bad that conflicted with the controller, otherwise the game was working just fine. TL;DR: Close Steam before playing this to avoid weird controller issues.
I dunno, copied the crack files I assume? I forgot to on the install the files from the cacak folder as I usually do, so copied the CODEX files to the main install, replaced all, and works great for me even on a potato.
I played the hell out the PSP one..I wasn't expecting it to run on my setup but so far it runs fine (intel onboard graphics). 2 hours in..and not a single hiccup. Holy fuck I love you IGG. I am going to be playing this forever!

Right? i had no idea Disgaea games went to PC but I saw this on the new list and was not expecting it to run (due to my PC, not IGG) and I am loving it so far.
you'll both need to download the microsoft .net framework 4.7.2. this only works if your windows is 8.1 or 10. if your windows is windows 8, you'll need to upgrade. of course, your machine also has to meet the required specs.
I'm no expert, but either your specs aren't up to snuff or your antivirus affected the installation. that's all i can think of off the top of my head. after updating my os to win 8.1 and installing the framework update, the game worked for me.
I had that issue. Managed to fix it on my end though it was tedious to figure out. This solution works for Windows 7 users.
Try manually updating Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. I tested it out with the kb4457144 (230MB) and KB2670838 (11MB) .msu files and it worked for me. For some reason, the game needs that update in order to run. off-topic: I have 3 GB ram on my potato laptop and the game works surprisingly smooth enough to make it playable.
Hey no problem dude, when steam became available for me I bought the games I pirated to show support to developers. I still can't buy activision games on pc though they are overpriced.
At one point in the distant past it was, but there was a lot of public outcry against it and also most donation payment processors won't come close to a piracy site, so that isn't possible anymore. Whitelisting bluemediafiles on your adblocker or noscript is a good way to help the site, as well as donating game files via the donation page. The featured comment on that page is a list of requests that IGG said he's not filling, so it's a good place to start.

Try changing the line in steam_emu text file to "SteamController=SteamController005", it might work for you. Edit: Try to set it to "SteamController=SteamController006" and just close steam since it messes up the controller inputs

Just a quick info for all the stone age pc owners like me as I have a intel hd 2000 graphic card the game works with DirectX 10.1 as I personally tried to play it and it works like a charm :D

If you like silly anime stories (with an occasional serious note) and stat numbers getting really REALLY big, this game is amazing. The first game basically created a tactical RPG genre around infinite growth potential. The first 2 games are also available on this site. The 3rd and 4th are console exclusive.
There are small references you might miss jumping right into 5 (I'm pretty sure Etna and/or Laharl cameo in every game), but each game is a self-contained story, so you don't need the other ones. They take place in the same universe, so you might be missing a bit, but it won't be overly much.

Maybe it's your graphics card problem? you should update your graphics drivers. Sometimes, the antivirus also gives problems with the games ... try to deactivate it. I'm sorry there's a limit for what I can help, I'm just someone who also downloaded the game.
I downloaded it and used the installer to get it on my PC, but it is giving me an error code. Usually the Installers work perfect every time. Anyone else having this issue?
