Why did it keep saying :VCOMP140.dll missing from your computer? I checked and my pc does have it. I also dl it from the internet. So, I pasted that dll to the game folder where the stream is, I was able to click it but nothing open. The game icon show under the pc on the start menu. Then it just disappeared. Is there anyone have a problem with Story mode Chapter 2 mission 10? I have to follow Perseus in order to defeat Athena and win the mission. However, after defeating Guan Xing at the very top corner of the map, Perseus just stand there and doesn't advance no matter if I kill every officers in the map and Liu Bei is already on the other side of the castle. Is this a bug from the crack?

i found out those scene groups are never bothering some Koei Tecmo games, they just only crack the main/base game BUT no update patches and DLC, even that Dynasty Warriors 9 is getting so many official updates, but the scene groups wont crack the new updates, this is why those scene groups are stupid, they just ignore it
Would someone please confirm if any DLC work? Tried change the option "auto dlc" "false" to "true" in the .ini file and it didn't work. I also noted the"[DLC]" section in the .ini is empty. I think this first release has no the dlc maybe in future patchs. The bonus dlc with DW9 save file someone mentioned didn't work too. Maybe in future updates.

GAME TIP: Some magic need button spam to be strong... such as Bow of Artemis, I thought it just shoot slow firing rate arrow... then I spam X button. Boy, that bow kills officers like shredding machine (Tested on Gracia). For the Pig ones, there's actually X command button to ram attack that cause complimentary damage... rather than that low rushing damage. Rush Normal Magic Attack can be cancelled early (Lu Xun's Magic Weapon..forgot name) by pressing X again, deals finishing damage faster. Some 'Rage' musou attack need hold B button such as Lu Xun's.

Never I got it to work I just didn't have a file it required to load up but is very very laggy the game doesn't function at all and my fps is really low even tho I clean and optimizated everything still doesn't stop lagging so much

im not sure if it works for you but there is something i did that made it work immediately. so in the extracted "Warriors.Orochi4/HOODLUM" folder there is a steam api i c/p (copied / pasted) over the one that was installed in the game folder. i also moved the "hlm" file to the game folder as well and my game finally started working. try that, and see if it works for ya

Hum very strange... Did you use the x64 versionof the program? Did you open the program with admin rights? When you open x360ce without admin rights, the program works like garbage. I'm using an old ps2 pad with usb adapter. It worksvery well withx360ce. Try restalling x360ce x64version from the start. Open it innitially with admin rights. When the program prompts to create a dll file you choose yes. Then you will see the next screen asks you too search configuration in internet you press yes and confirm and wait. In the next screen ( the one with the xb360 controller image) you see in the bottom 3 options click auto. Then check if your buttons are okay. If its okay you click save in the bottom, if not, you manually make the changes in the xbox 360 image using the scrolling menus for each button, then save. This is the way i configure basically any game with x360ce. Hope it helps. Sorry my bad english. Not my native language.

The game lag during tutorial stage.. after that, playing at high graphic got 30fps quite fine. Play in low graphic got 55 fps, and the resolution and graphic still looking good though. NVIDIA MX150, 12GB RAM

story mode is the only thing working for me that other mode freezes when it starts loading in is that this crack or game bug? also the optimization issues ppl having it much be the support against high end card cause my low end rig runs it well while my mid end rig runs poorly.
So after having played this game for a couple of hours i can see a few downgrades in relation to previous games. Remember how WO3 had this hub town you could walk around on? That's gone, replaced with simple menus now, kinda like DW Empires. Gameplay is still basically the same though now you have magic. That's right actual MAGIC. Problem is...it SUCKS. It's too weak, even after you do 1000 combo hits which SUPPOSEDLY makes it stronger
Of course magic is weak... The magic recharge time is WAY faster than Musou gauge. the RB + Circle magic is much stronger than Musou Attack (especially Lu Xun's). If magic is strong with that fast recharge time, people will spam that a lot to cheese everything. (Magic have i-frame too, it's a broken mechanic when fighting near relic)
Yeah but even after reaching the 1000 combo line which SUPPOSEDLY makes it stronger it really doesn't. Not to mention just about every stage has a mission where you have to kill a certain amount of enemies with a specific magic so that just makes it a big chore. Normal magic is pretty much useless, charge magic only a few are useful and Unique Magic takes too long to charge to BE useful
Actually this is the first Warriors Orochi game on pc. As for a rating, well it's hard to say. I'm a fan of the franchise so i'd give it an 8. There are some things they changed that i don't like, such as no hub to walk around, the weapon fusion is weird and kind of a mess and the magic just seems useless but the core of what makes the game fun for me is still there
I don't think they have no love, they are just incompetent. They can do better when controlled by Nintendo or some other company that know what they are doing

They just copied the description of the game from steam. It actually does not have any of the early purchase bonuses. At least for me, it doesn't show anything.
Yup, the game is popular and has seen a lot of downloads. Either wait a bit for that to fix itself or use a different host. There's 6 of them up there plus a torrent. File parts are interchangable, so you can get each part from a different slow host at the same time and it'll still work.
never mind i add to put the crack in the game diretory, even if i checked yes to apply crack. So for all of you dont bother with applying crack with the instal you still got to do it yourself!

I've played for 3 hours and I noticed that this game uses the same engine as Warriors All-Stars... no wonder my Nvidia GTX 950M can't deal with it well and frameskipping like hell. but whatever, it's playable and I enjoy it. seems like All-Stars is a new engine test release before OmegaForce put this one on shelves. if they'd keep using Dynasty Warriors 8's engine, that'd be the savior for PCs with low-performance.
I've tested several settings in order to bring the fit performance. in-game resolution is 1600x900, and everything except texture quality goes to the lowest and "off". texture quality could be medium, it's okay and no frameskipping. in Nvidia control panel, head to the 3D settings. in "Adjust image settings with preview", set "Use my preference emphasizing" to "Performance" instead of "Balanced" or "Quality". then click "Manage 3D Settings" and do these things. 1. Ambient Occlusion: Off, 2. Antialiasing: FXAA+Gamma Correction+Mode+Setting+Transparency, just everything: Off, 3. Power management mode: Prefer Maximum Performance, 4. Shader Cache: On, 5. Threaded optimization: On, 6. Vertical sync: Off. the setting is also fit for Warriors All-Stars and Dynasty Warriors 9 and Arslan: The Warriors of Legend (tested by myself), and framerate dropping problem is slightly better solved in Berserk and the Band of the Hawk and Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada (also tested), and Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends will run smoother and have higher fps than before (also tested), if you have the same frameskipping problem on Nvidia graphic card. basically with the settings I've mentioned above, the game could be locked at 50-60 fps without problems, well, at least it worked for me.
in the desktop short cut right click, then click properties, then in the compatibility tab CHECK IF "disable fullscreen optimizations" is enabled ,this can cause exactly that on some games ,like ACO...

Nevermind, just had to reset the game apparently it was a bug or something, you'd hold down on A and it'd just make the sound but not level you up, it does it just fine now.

Like Black screen and then "crash" to desktop? i had this issue Fixed it by disconnecting my Gamepad (Generic USB controller for PC) It worked with my others gamepad (xbox 360 controller and logitech f310 :X) this game is ,for sure, one of the Best Pearls of Koei
nope nothing happens at first it did show up in task manager for half a second but now nothing. I've tried giving admin, compatibility mode, i dont have a controller plugged in so i tried unplugging my own Oculus rift setup and still nothing.
Depends on weather you like hack and slash button mashers. It's fun in short bursts, kind of gets repetitive in long sessions. Basically if you like Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors you'l like this

It's a Koei game. Koei ports on pc always have terrible optimization at launch, it's par for the course at this point. But it will get fixed, it always does
I haven't started playing it yet so i don't know how bad the optimization is. My rig isn't all THAT powerful but i haven't had many issues running Koei games in the past. I'l let you know how well or how bad it runs in a while
My system is weaker and runs the game just fine. However, when I first launched the game, it ran it on integrated graphics, on which I got horrible framerates. I went on to the steam discussions page and was surprised to find that people were actually praising Koei for the game running smoothly. There were also a good deal of reviews saying the game was running fine. Thought something was up and found ran the game on dedicated gfx to find it running well. Completed chapter 1.
No. You have to either change settings through your gfx card control panel or right click > Run with graphics processor. Game picks Intel Integrated graphics for me on default. My guess is that it did this to a lot of people, who quickly refunded the game when they noticed the horrible framerates on a Koei game.
i5 and GTX 750TI for me and the gameplay is not THAT slow, not yet at least. Only in highly, HIGHLY populated areas and even then the slowdiwn is not THAT bad
Have to agree with the comments on steam discussions. I am running a rig that has a 32 gb ram i9 core and a 1080 gtx and its running so bad during the gameplay but the cutscenes are really good... Such a bad optimization by Koei
Did you check if the game was running on your gfx card? It defaults to running on your Integrated gfx card if you don't explicitly change the settings.

Not really, WO2 ended in a sort of ambiguous way as the two worlds remained connected. 3 on the other end ended the story completely. Orochi was defeated, then we learned about Orochi's origins in the expansion, defeated the fox lady and the two worlds were separate and all memories were erased. The plot of this game is just a poor excuse to get the two worlds back together. Hell Orochi isn't even the main bad guy, Nobunaga is
This game launched by default on Integrated graphics on my system. Was getting bad framerates until I checked and switched to my dedicated gfx card. Started running smoothly afterwards.
Honestly, that's Koei's PC ports for ya. I didn't run into much problems when trying out DW9 and DW8:xl that a lot of others did, but Koei seems to be poor ports at launch.
I mean, the fact that they keep making more of this mindless beat em up over and over without really changing anything attests to how popular their series is. Gameplay doesn't really need to be meaningful as long as you have dozens of iconic characters thrown into a map with thousands of faceless combo fodder.
The gameplay is basically the same across the series. They add systems but nothing so drastic that I'd give Koei any credit. It's lazy game design. Have a formula that works. Have a bunch of desirable IPs. Recyclable assets. Try to sell it by advertising some new feature. ??? Profit. Is this game that different from WO1? It's got more characters and several systems based on character bonds, magic and unity. That's about it.
It doesn't. Gameplay isn't the same as the systems within the game. None of the systems affect the gameplay meaningfully enough from back in WO1 when these systems didn't exist.

Yeah, they've been doing just this one style for ages. Can't expect them to knock it out of the part by adding open world just for namesake. I'd be good if they kept their format and found a way to make the combat more meaningful. But I guess there are people out there that just want to button mash in their power fantasy. I can relate to some extent as well.
Yeah, there were a lot of issues. Like, the weapons being homogenized so they could sell the more iconic ones later on as separate DLC. That game was a mess. They were experimenting with systems that were already passable instead of improving on those that needed work.

this is the first koei tecmo game which i can't run fine.
They did a good job with "porting" this time ;)
for some reason i didn't write "False positive" my bad
But I am sure my PC is too mediocre for it. (>w<)/
Just like Soul Calibur VI, I might purchase it for PS4 instead. (o^_^o)
i had this issue
Fixed it by disconnecting my Gamepad (Generic USB controller for PC)
It worked with my others gamepad (xbox 360 controller and logitech f310 :X)
this game is ,for sure, one of the Best Pearls of Koei
I've tried giving admin, compatibility mode, i dont have a controller plugged in so i tried unplugging my own Oculus rift setup and still nothing.

I've already paid for this game and downloaded this in order to have a backup Beastly rigs? Strange, that my computer is 3 years old and I can run it with flying colours. Seems to me that people just want to find a reason to bitch. Zero sympathy.
