You're right about Neverdead being similar. However, there is also a closeness to Warioland I can make to The Missing...as far as death in game is compared to in a way.
I'm about 3hrs in the game. It plays alot like an old Warioland title combined with Limbo. If you liked the strange, but compelling storytelling of Deadly Premonition, then you're getting that as well. SWERY wrote, and directed this game after all.
