Go to : "F:\Games\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\DefEd\Data\Localization" edit "langage.lsx" with notepad ++ and change english to the langage u want ( like french or german).
There is an other file langage.lsx, path : F:\Games\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Data\Localization. just copy and past the one that u already edit.
Don't forget to modify the "steam.eni" file aswell

I am 2 months late but for anyone that might stumble here: The desktop icon for launching the game takes you to the launcher. What you do is going into the installation folder, DefEd folder -> bin and launch the game through "EoCApp.exe" and congratulations, now you can play the game.
TLDR: C:\GOG Games\Divinity - Original Sin 2\DefEd\bin\EoCApp.exe
All links are down except megaup and I don't understand why but somehow the download speeds is always 20 kbs or even below that when I try to download the part for this game but somehow on the other game, the speed is 300 kbs- 2 mbs. Yes, i got mine to work downloading .pak mods manually from nexus and putting them in this subdirectory the game should of created for you. If the mods folder isn't there than create one. C:\Users"Your name"\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods
Question, mods worked fine until I updated my game. then I can't use them no more. it gives me the "we were unable to create a story..." and the other bugs come up everytime I activate a mod.
Okay it worked great for a while, I played co op with direct link and one day we try to play and for my partner it keeps saying "Connection Failed". Any ideas how to fix that or see what's the issue? I am not super great at diagnostics of this kind so any help would be greatly appreciated
It's a mod, and if i remember correctly from my non definitive edition experience, there's a mods folder somewhere and there you put the mods. It's been 2 years since i did this so i am not the best informant here :D
HOW TO SOLVE THE CRASH PROBLEM IN THE AUTOSAVE: the procedure is quite simple, just go to the folder where the saves are present (if you don’t change anything they are in Documents) C: \Users \ DUDE \ Documents \ Larian Studios \ Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition \ LevelCache. In the last folder, delete all the files present. My advice is not to keep too many saves too (they can be canceled directly from the game). You also don’t have to worry about clearing the caches because they don’t affect the game
As much as I always love using IGGGames to download stuff. This is a convoluted as hell of a download. Some links dead, then you have to use trash sites that limit download to a few kb... Bazongas amounts of updates you have to download separately... Also doesn't help it doesn't even come with the Online Fix.

If this may help someone: After days of trying to fix the constant CTD, the only thing that worked for me was to reinstall the game and update it to V3.6.51.1333, this version is the one that works for me without crashing Edit: there are a lot of fixes on the internet that may work for some people so i would recommend to try those first.
Just turn off autosave and youre set for life. Some people still complain the game crashes when they save by themselves, but for me i only crash when the game suddenly autosave. when i do it myself its fine.
is your game actually good enough to run it? Lower end might be more prone to it crashing than those with high end, it happened to me once when somehow my laptop overlocking and somehow stuck with maximum ram usage, the game keep crashing, had to restart and the ram is stable again and i can run as normal.

Okey i have found what's being wrong : Be sure to check properly your destination folder when running the "setup" app (for me it install on the wrong disk) and tick for install automaticly the codex content. Hope that help !

I thought they were all dead also, turns out my Malware-bytes was interfering in connecting to the website. I disabled my malware software and was able to download all updates.

With last update (3.6.58.1306), the game started to crash very very VERY often, way too often to be even playable. Am I the only one ? I'm playing this game for a few months now, started with v3.6.51.1333, then v3.6.54.8890, and I never experienced any crash. As soon as I installed the last one (i had to because i'm playing coop with a guy who has an official copy of the game, no way for him to avoid the update and stay with v3.6.54.8890), the game keeps crashing again and again and again. Try running the Definitive Edition straight from the directory (not through launcher), with admin. privileges. It fixed the crashes for me. I even created a shortcut, and set admin. prileges always on: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\DefEd\bin\EoCApp.exe"
Crashes are both solo and multiplayer. I've tried to launch with admin rights but didn't solved it. And i'd say not to install the last update if you play solo, or with a friend in coop that is also using a warez version of the game. If, like me, you're playing with someone who has a genuine version of the game (Steam or GoG), install all the updates (otherwise you'll not be able to play with him), and let him be the server.

This game doesn't have an editor other than the modding tools, which is a seperate download on steam. Closest thing is the GM mode, which is only for multiplayer, and doesn't allow you to make maps.

Unfortunately, the mega up download for this particular game is stupidly slow. Every other game, same size parts, takes about 15 minutes per part. This one says 20 hours.
Bullshit, for you 5 MB/s is slow? Either way your own download speed is the problem or your browser, hosting has nothing to do with it. I've downloaded the whole game throught Mega up without any issues, takes something between 6 - 8 hours to download all files
And trying again months later after having downloaded lots of other games using mega up, this one is still shit. Even worse than when i tried before. It gives me 50-100 kbs, while i get 4-5 MBs on other downloads.

Did you download an exe file? When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something? If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.

I heard they only re-upload when ALL links are down. Since the only links available make it pretty much next to impossible to download due to the slow speeds, the only thing we can do is cross our fingers and hope the MegaUp links go down too so maybe the others will be restored again.
I ad many other people dont ever use torrents. So they need to reupload. megaup sucks. would take me days to download 54 gb when googledrive would take me 1 min

UPDATE v3.6.30.9667 have critical bugs and should be avoided until hot-fixes or further updates. Annoying one is that health bars pop up over characters whenever one attacks. Apparently its control console UI unintended bug. Unfortunately that means no Sir Lora I think.
It seems all but the MegaUp links for both updates don't work anymore. As for the person talking about the torrent not having the game, I'm not sure about that yet.

This game is so good that after finishing it i had to buy it on steam, its the best RPG i have played in YEARS! and with the steam version you dont get annoying bugs and can use tons of mods.

I have downloaded this three times from three different upload sites and when I start unpacking the .rar it goes for about ten minutes then says it cannot unpack the iso file.
I use winzip, first game it's ever done this with. I can't even seem to open winzip by itself, by the way, it just takes me to a website to uninstall it if I open winzip by itself, but it extracts everything but this game fine.
Oh I should mention it did the same thing that the original version of Divinity 2 did when I tried to play it, starts up, black screens, then crashes out. 7zip did help though, guess something was wonky with my winzip :D
Yes, wich means that for some reason your software is trying to extract the .iso afterwards, you should try and find in its settings the .iso file type to stop it from recognizing it as a file it should open.
I don´t think you realise that all of them being in 1 part.....or moore specifically being in a torrent takes moore time to download than if it was on multiple parts like these. Sure I can understand that if it was on like 20-50 parts that would be time taking, but honestly anything within the 5-12 ammount is faster than a torrent. At least for me. And usaully as long as the game is big. But i guess you want bragging rights for having fast internet....so I won´t stop you.

Stop posting false information, just because it's cracked doesn't mean it cant work online. I've yet to test this game specifically, but there are hundreds of games that work online that are cracked using steam fixes or steam emu ect.

Direct Connect by IP worked in the standard edition -- I assume it works in the updated edition as well EDIT: Tested it and it works. The game is effectively DRM free; you just have to create a lobby and give your friend the lobby ID for them to connect.
How is Final Fantasy casual? lol Casual is like Fortnite or Minecraft. I also play Shin Megami Tensei, Fire Emblem, Disgaea, Persona, Nier, Xenoblade, Dragon Quest, etc I'm guessing you only like western RPGS if you don't like Final Fantasy....Which is fine. That's the opposite of me.

you should normally have an.ini file in it, open it and find the language line and change it, check before on the steam page that the language you choose is supported
It's PCgamer's GOTY from 2017 and well deserved. As someone who put in over 200 hours in this game, it's definitely as accessible as a CRPG gets, offering as many solutions to a problem as you could think of with its gameplay and role playing mechanics. Really fun game.
I don't think this is the definite edition. I might be wrong, but doesn't it release on the 31st of august? Should have a lot of more fleshed out story, gameplay and voice over.
I liked this game when it released but the individual skills such as speech, trading, intimidation and especially the one about talking to animals being on specific characters meant that if you initiated dialogue or an action with the wrong character meant that you get shafted with no way of knowing that in advance, which leads to either save scumming or just taking it up the ass and moving on. Ultimately it made me quit the game, maybe its just me being inexperienced with games like Baldurs gate and the like.
Even though you bring some valid concerns, I still think the game is good and you should definitely give it a try again. Just dont ponder too much about those individual skills. You don't have to do everything in the game to complete it. Also if you have played it a bit more, you might have discovered that those skills are not individual. Every character can learn them.
What I mean is that you would specialize your characters to have specific skills, so it makes sense for only one of your party members to spec into speech but speccing all 4 of them wouldn't make any sense. Which is obviously fine if I had an option to reply as a specific character during a conversation and using their skills instead of being locked with the character ive initiated the conversation with ( I think I remember that you could do something like that but it was incredibly rare). Its especially bad for example if you have intimidation on a non-speech character, how can you ever make use of that if you're obviously talking using the speech guy? So am I meant to dump all speech type skills on one character and making them THE speech guy? seems really limiting, especially when there are different races that also influence dialog as well. There's also the armor making enemies immune to stuns thing but I could probably write an essay about that alone. Sorry if I seem kind of rambly.
I have a few things i could write an essay about as well. For instance how my first playthrough of the game involved about 40 hours shopping for equipment. As for the speech thing, yeah, unless you are investing speech points in your main character and initiating the conversation, no other way i'm afraid. I tried having all my 4 characters learn different skills, did a lot of save scumming. I get slightly frustrated when i miss out on things just because i don't meet the requirements. For my second Playthrough of the game I went with 2 lonewolf characters. I had a lot more fun. Not only was it easier to get gear for 2 characters, but the game became infinitely more challenging. I played it on tactician, too. One of my characters had speech and the other had theft, which brings me to my second essay, theft is OP as heck. As for the armor and magic armor, i can only suggest that you either roll with full Physical or magical party.

Ultimately it made me quit the game, maybe its just me being inexperienced with games like Baldurs gate and the like.
Which is obviously fine if I had an option to reply as a specific character during a conversation and using their skills instead of being locked with the character ive initiated the conversation with ( I think I remember that you could do something like that but it was incredibly rare).
Its especially bad for example if you have intimidation on a non-speech character, how can you ever make use of that if you're obviously talking using the speech guy? So am I meant to dump all speech type skills on one character and making them THE speech guy? seems really limiting, especially when there are different races that also influence dialog as well.
There's also the armor making enemies immune to stuns thing but I could probably write an essay about that alone.
Sorry if I seem kind of rambly.
As for the speech thing, yeah, unless you are investing speech points in your main character and initiating the conversation, no other way i'm afraid.
I tried having all my 4 characters learn different skills, did a lot of save scumming. I get slightly frustrated when i miss out on things just because i don't meet the requirements.
For my second Playthrough of the game I went with 2 lonewolf characters. I had a lot more fun. Not only was it easier to get gear for 2 characters, but the game became infinitely more challenging. I played it on tactician, too. One of my characters had speech and the other had theft, which brings me to my second essay, theft is OP as heck.
As for the armor and magic armor, i can only suggest that you either roll with full Physical or magical party.
