I found the solution. No informatiopn on page so far, found it on reddit (i think). You need to disconnect the pc from internet or block the connection to that .exe file
I downloaded the game extracted the files and ran the setup but every time i try to start the game it brings me to the steam page. What do I need to do to make this not happen?

Try renaming your season 3 save folder to "The Walking Dead - A New Frontier" or "The Walking Dead A New Frontier". Some say removing the dash worked. I had to add the dash and it worked for me.
I'm getting the message "You need to start extraction from a previous volume to unpack" despite the fact that i have unpacked both part one and two- unless I'm doing something wrong???
when u download the zip turn of inernet then unzip instal copy the steam api and emu files to the folder of the game from the folder where u opened the zip its calling CODEX, turn on internet and play

"To replay the game" You know that you can continue the game by using your old save? Just go to: C:\Users\YourUsernameHere\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead and and move it to another location like Desktop (preventive measure) . Then uninstall the old game and install the new one (paste the crack if needed). Start the game from the desktop shortcut. Start a new game. After the first save close it and go to the Save Folder (it is written above). Copy and Paste (REPLACE ALL FILES when it asks) the old save folder (that you already moved to Desktop). Start the game and ENJOY!

Watch youtube how to put crack on downloaded games much easier to understand. When downloading games crack are needed before playing, most anyways and usually crack are included when downloaded on this site.
Episode 4 Title "Take us back" will be release on march 26,2019. most of TWD season have until Episode 5 and it also will be the Ending for Each Seasons. for TWD Final season maybe will End at Episode 4, because Telltale game company have announced they will be shutting down after finishing their last project.

Its better if you just copy everything in the episode 2 folder into the episode 3 folder, thats what I did with ep 2, and always save the folders into some sort of backup folder incase you mess something up
Admin? Again, I have to download the whole file of almost 10 GB when I only need Episode 3 (which would be about 3-4 GB). I've downloaded individuals episodes of The Walking Dead before and you can easily put the newly installed data from the setup to the game folder to add new episodes. Hi, I have a little problem if anyone can help me. My game won't save. Anytime I die, it says 'Unable to write your data,' and I am forced to start again from the beginning. This means I would have to play two episodes in one sitting to be able to win, without dying. I thought the issue was with the download, so I mounted the game again, and reinstalled everything. The only thing I didn't do is torrent the whole game all over again. I think I did everything correctly. I downloaded the torrent. I mounted the CODEX. I setup the file that was downloaded. I then clicked on the CODEX file, copied everything in the folder, and pasted them into the game file, which is saved under 'Games'. And finally, I pasted it, and replaced the two files. It opens just fine. It also plays just fine. But it won't save. And when I'm dead there is an in-game popup saying 'unable to write your save'.
i have a similar problem. My autosave don't works. I played until half episode 2. Then i closed game, and next day, all saves was gone... So i need to restart game any times.

If anything comes again, which is doubtful, can you guys put episode 3 as a separate torrent to download rather than a close to 10 GB file with all 3 episodes? nosTEAM does it like that (but they are not uploading this time) thus you just have to download what's needed and paste it in the game folder. BTW you guys have incredible pace of uploading, haven't seen that before. Thanks!
you download it again but you don't need to play the episode 1 again if you don't want, go in archives folder and copy all files to your old folder where your game is and you played it, it will work if you do this
How do i link my saves from episode 1 to episode 2? i linked my telltale account but have no files and even tried pasting my files from season 1 into the season 2 folder

Uh, that's...surprising really. I didn't think anyone would want to pick this up and help them finish it since...well, like it or not, it's what caused their downfall. Well not THIS game specifically but the fact that they did so much that basically looks and plays the same
I read somewhere that telltale is looking for a way to finish the game and there is some potential partners to fund the last two episodes so there is still some hope if that's true. If I can find the source of this i'll post it.
i hope too, but as you had heard already there is only 25 employees left in the studio, so its basically cancelled, and those 25 employees are still in the studio , only to finish Netflix Minecraft Story Mode.
Perhaps I have my systems crossed, but when they came out with this for the switch and I downloaded the DLC, the extra episodes weren't available. I'm guessing I'm jumping the gun and thought they would all be out at once... at least for switch...
Unless the take the offers they mentioned about getting help to finish the season, it will never happen since TellTale will be shutting down in a few months permanently
DONT DOWNLOAD the series is dead now now telltale has gone bankrupt. They said they would finish this series but dont bet on it their only saying that so you dont ask for a refund or call them out with their PC game that it turned in to.

Episode 2 isn't even worth playing since the story will never be continued. The people that were making episode 3 and 4 have been fired and won't be back.
Heres for those whose getting lead to steam, mount it. click codex on the mounted drive, select all the files and hit copy, then go to C:) drive to the Walking dead folder, for me its within the "Games" folder, then hit paste, itll say 2 files are already there and if you'd like to replace click yes, afterwards start your game and enjoy.

If it's like the previous Walking dead games then yes you'll be able to download the other episodes directly from within the game menu, so just keep it installed and check the release schedule.
Okay, so, I'm extremely upset due to the fact that every time i open the game, it begins to load, then freeze and completely shut down. I've gone through all of the comments looking for problems similar to mine on this page and other pages. I've downloaded this game multiple times on this and other sites, and still, the same issue happens. My system meets all the requirements the game needs, and I've copied the codex thing into installer files, so I don't understand. I've downloaded other games from IGG but nothing like this has happened before. Can I get any help or advice?
if you have doubts downloading this 3.8gb file and if your pc can run it smoothly? ..you can just try the demo version first..but if you have a pc that is like it has ten thousand slaves in it and its fine but im just sayin it will help you decide your fate :) and i hope TWAU2 is next

um i think the game you should see what kind of graphic cards\ you are using and the window version sometime the direct x version is difference between the graphic card and the window (bad english)

I've tried all sorts of different combos (using the traps, stunning the walkers, etc.) but I always get ganged up on by the last two walkers. I've been working on passing this scene for hours now and I'm really getting frustrated. Would anyone be willing to share their save file with me? The next save point is when the group goes back to the school.
I didn't play the game yet so i'm not sure which button it is but I know there's a button that stuns the walkers, so if you use it to stun one while you kill the other it might work

Telltale actually posted a picture detailing all of the release dates. Around then I'd just suggest coming back and there should be a note on the GAME REQUEST page.
This is no longer true we're only getting 2 episodes and that's it. Telltales studios has been closed down and filed for bankruptcy. We won't be getting a conclusion to this story, nor will we get A Wolf Among Us 2.
If it's like the previous games, as long as you have the game installed just download the new episodes from within the game main menu. The download rate is very crappy and can take hours (or more!), be warned.
By the way, what is the source then? If you have the game installed (no steam) and you just try to download the next episode from the main menu, if it's not gonna take you to steam then where does it download from, what's the source? EDIT It's also just saying coming soon in the menu although it has been up for 5 hours on here.
Ha! OFC when telltale is RIP then there'll be no direct download anymore. For now it seems to still 'connect', played yesterday and had other player stats, I don't have any episode to download though so not sure downloads still work. So, big advise for all WD fans: install all the WD games you have and download all the missing episodes now. Don't forget 400 days and Michonne's one.
Louis is a nice character, cant really say much about others. I think Telltale killed so many important characters just for the sake of killing that it all went down the hill from season 2. Lee's death was a good piece of writing but others looked forced. Rather than killing off important characters just for the sake of being unpredictable, they should've build some characters from season 2 to season 4 (including Kenny) and that would've made us attached to them. Right now we just don't care for anyone at all, since we don't even know them. You can't just keep killing all important characters if that leaves you with all new faces, it's good once in a while with the right writing, but the way Telltale is doing it since season 2....that's just killing the story and not the feelings.
For the 2 first seasons the downloads were fast for me too (an hour or 2 at most) but since 400 Days & Last Frontier it have been a nightmare to download the episodes. I sure hope they upgraded their servers or something.
I mean, it's fake for no doubt, but... why would anyone click on it to begin with? There's practically no point in going to a pirate site from another pirate site.

Absolutely loved this episode. I like new way of choises that will affect AJ. Little bit sad there are only 4 episodes ,but I think it will be better than any season before (maybe same as 1st one)
As a fan of all three seasons, this first episode of the final season is absolutely fantastic. I think you all will love it. Also ran at a perfect 30fps on max settings with my shitty little GeForce GTX 750 Ti, a perfect 60 with render settings set to low. Excited for the next episode and hope choices transfer over. Very happy that IGG was able to get this out in less than a few hours after release.
