Some of those text games from choice of games do indeed have ideological propaganda of PC culture, don´t know of this one yet, but these games per si, have nothing wrong on them, some are actually fun to read and play, but i guess they are not for everyone, you have your right to not like it.
Yes, people like this "crap". We enjoy reading so as to broaden our minds and go to places we normally can't go to without the need for VR or super 4k graphics. We know how to enjoy simple text on a screen without the need for rendering the display or surround sound audio. I'm sorry if you can't enjoy this kind of game and, quite frankly, I think that's sad.
I sincerely second your thoughts Makko. People that can´t enjoy reading and books simply lead a sad life. We need to keep in touch with non-digital things too. I´m not implying anything but the fact that books are awesome, interactive ones even more so. P.S. I know this is very inconsistent, that is because I´m just being lazy.
"Author of our best-selling game, Choice of Robots." Nope, this one's not nearly as good, though that's a tall order. I should've set my expectations much lower. "Your magic can change the world, but at what cost?" Time and fun. I hated reading through all that spiel about magic being bad. Every playthrough just kept nagging me for being a bull in a china shop. This story could learn a lot from Dragon Age: Origins. Now that game is a perfect example of magic vs. religion done right. "Romance... even the queen." Again, nope. She just gets NTR'd by the "best friend". It feels even worse when coming back from a successful diplomatic mission to end the war peacefully, only to find out they're together now. Also, NTR'd by a girl. Pride, meet toilet drain.
I don't totally agree with your opinion of this game, but I'm glad to see someone who really judges this type of game for its quality and flaws, rather than someone who judges the game as rubbish just because it's not a game with ultra realistic graphics that they so wanted
Not criticizing you but, come on, choice of robots was not bad, of course, i have low expectations when i was playing, and by no means i think is the best game from that developer ( personally my favorite is community college series ), but still, not bad.
You misunderstood what I said entirely. This one (Choice of Magics) is not nearly as good (Choice of Robots). That's why I said it's a tall order and that I should've set my expectations lower. Of all the CYOA games I've played, Choice of Robots still remains #1. It's just that good. It's nice that you like Community College Hero, but that's written by Eric Moser, not Kevin Gold. Not a huge fan of it, but I'll likely play it anyway when the next one comes out. I'm hoping for more interaction with Stoic. I went, "that's it? Meh," at that hug.
