[originally] Looked neat... so, let's dive in! [aftermath] Huh... despite of just how-long I've lived in Japan since 2004 [exactly the same year I got offered a place in 'Seven-Arcs Pictures' at Nakano], I'd say this game is pretty good! You don't really need first-hand understanding with Kanji in the first place, as the game is really good of leading you onto it - 15+ years living in Japan, and I didn't even know around 25% Kanji offered in the game actually existed... If anything, the only thing lacking in this game is the low number of Kanji that was offered - around 200-pieces, and the most widely used Kanji at that [if you mastered all the Kanji here, chances are high for you to be able to read anything any Japanese sites have to offer]...
Language skills degrade over time if you don't use them regularly, and 4 years most likely won't put you at a native's skill level, especially if your starting language isn't related to Japanese. Just run through it and see if it's as easy as you thought.
I agree to a certain extent. Personally I practice with native friends often and usually practice infront of the mirror by myself everyday. I rather study from textbooks too, but these are just my opinion. But I can see it's usefulness to someone who prefers some game play with their learning. So I can see some people liking these kinds of games, I just don't think think it's not really useful to me. I'll maybe give it a try in the future.
Yes , me after once in the middle of the game i muted the game from the option and i regret it because i was rlyyy faaar and i get an error if i try to put the volume on again like beffore . Right now im downloading the game again and starting over anyways i forgot some kanji its not gonna be that bad after all
