if i use launcher.exe it says "failed to initialise steam - are you running steam?" and yes... yes iam. - tried reinstalling and also using throne.exe which have denuvo error like the rest. so id say this game doesnt work

Step 3.pick a folder you wanna extract you game into and exclude the folder in windows defender(so it doesn't scan that folder ) Step 4.extract your file into the excluded folder Step 5.exclude the thrones app in windows defender Step 6.go to the thrones app and set compatibility to windows 8 Step 7.start the thrones app as administrator

Now and always start the game with admin rights.
*I repeat all this above, every time I encounter the malfunction error and I encounter that error, every two days.
Hello Is the crack here updated to the latest version? The blood dlc was already out and there had been tonnes of new features that previous cracks are missing.
I got it to work after these steps. Add exceptions for your download folder in your anti-virus/defender, extract files into this folder and copy multiplayer crack files over main. Then run thrones.exe with admin rights.
I sorta figured out the way to fix "game malfuntioned" Just every time you quit the game delete it and then extract from setup it take 5 min then change directory and rename it then run it as admin. Then next time you quit do it all again,and dont worry about save files they stay in your User file. Note:Remember to keep your antivirus and window defender turned off

dont know if this might solve the problem but.. i launched it from the thrones.exe, while the game folder is in the desktop whitout steam open, and as admin, all worked like a charm, except for the desktop exit thats busted i guess
Try to move your game to an own folder. Not in a folder where u have other games. Put it directly in the D: disk with an own folder. That fixed the malfunction problem for me. Games works good for me.

Works perfectly. Unzip your gamefile to D: and open the thrones with admin. To quit the game and not get freeze, just tab it down and exit it from desktop. TY VOKSI

if I wait some seconds after the malfunction error shows up the game still starts and I can play normally, but still having trouble exiting the game, it freezes, tried changing the install folder to all ubications and problem persist
People that do google drive. You can bypass the too many people are downloading/viewing this file. Just type "open" where uc?id is in the URL and save it to your drive. then make a copy of the that file in your drive to download it

I resolve the "game malfunctioned" just simply changing the game folder name, I named it "Total War Thrones of Britannia" But i have read that this error is totally random. Also i would like to have spanish language

I fixed my "game malfunctioned" error by making the games working directory a root directory e.g. c:\Thrones of Britannia as opposed to something like c:\program files\Thrones of Britannia. Then once it ran fine that way one time I was able to move it to its permanent location on my pc of D:\Games\Thrones of Britannia. Have steam running when you execute thrones.exe. For me Steam Client can be minimized OR I can launch through steam as a non-steam game.

You have the 3 dm version? (They use chinese and tend to delete languages/files) Is there any 3 dm.ini file? Try to change it there. And check your data folder for "local_en.pack " or cn.pack If they're there try to switch their names :s
