Hello, my game become black screen when the game go to start screen, the game got sound and i able to click button to start the game but its all in black screen. Any ways to fix this?
normally those games come with a crack. steam.dll and stuff. if it didn't, go into steam folder and change the Steam name to "stem" or remove any other character of the name. you should be able to play fine after that.
Huh, that's interesting. The cracked version of this game actually let's you into online lobbies, however you can't actually start a match with someone (even with the update installed). Also, your name shows up as "[unknown]" to others, (even if you change it in the Steam_emu.ini) so they'll likely know you have an illegitimate copy. Apparently there's a fix out there that let's you play with other pirate players, but I can't confirm if that works as I haven't tried it yet. Maybe I'll try it out later and give an update on it. Edit: Yup, online with the fix works. Someone posted a discord server in this thread that has players, if you wanna play online go there.

Heya! After installing the game, the game tries to run through steam (of course, since the crack is not installed yet). However, after installing the crack, the game seems to not open. The process will be shown as Suspended, and cannot be terminated nor resumed as I would get the "Access denied" error. Any solution as of now? EDIT: Running as Administrator does not work.
You can't get banned. Since you're using an illegal copy, the game is not using steam. If you could use just the (steam?) servers, there would be no account to ban tho. And they don't use IP or Hardware-Bans, they use VAC.
your comment was commented 4 months. normally I say you can't have crack game and can play online. but now I want to say you have two option available: 1 - you can get a crack from here or any pirate game from other site but play under offline mode. 2 - just buy the game on steam and you can play online.
so i statred the game and made sure to apply the crack, and it opeans the game window and its a black screen then it closes by its self. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Seems like this is the 2.0, Since they did reedited a lot of things in game, It's obvious for it to be downloaded again since some data files in game acts different than before.

Just checked the dates in the links and it was uploaded at around 5 am japanese-time. Was the dlc out by then? Did you download this, my dude? Edit: correction, near 6 am.
It does, the game files had been changed, so having a cracked update won't suffice since some games are different than before and cannot be overwritten.
You most likely have not been able to apply the crack that is in the downloaded folder/zip/iso/etc. Check it up on the file then overwrite the original game files with it

To answer your question, yes, you have to download and install all the update patches. Some of them require 30 GB of temporary space, so be prepared for that!
It needs to be able to move the files somewhere, so it can completely overwrite the older ones. This game is pretty huge, so you'll understand why it needs 30 GB.

problems are almost exactly the same. Steam Big picture(pretty sure that's all that steam link is) doesnt launch the game and when it does the inputs don't work with a steam controller
My issue was that I couldn't get Steam to open the game at all. But my controller worked fine when launching the game outside of Steam. As I said in my previous comment, I managed to find a workaround for the launching issue. As for your controller issue, only thing I can think of is using Big Picture Mode to customize your Switch Pro Controller (though based on your comments, it seems you're already doing that). You can also try disabling Xbox emulation with the Pro Controller and see if BBCTB supports Dinput. If that still doesn't work, you can get a wired 360 controller for about $15. PDP/Rock Candy ones work perfectly.
I can't launch the game through Steam. I have it set up as a non-steam game, but nothing happened when I click Launch/Play. I can launch the game through the exe itself, and the Steam overlay works (despite not launching it through Steam). Any help with this? I wanna use it with my Steam Link so I can play on my TV, with friends.

I know this isn't related to this game but does anyone know how to get Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on PC without a physical copy? I really wanted to play the game but do not have a Nintendo Switch. I've tried the downloaders but they all require surveys to "unlock" the downloads but most of you already know those surveys are infinite and will just send you to another site/don't really work. The emulators seem like my best bet but I do not know any emulators besides Dolphin and Ishiiruka, and neither seem to work for me. If any of you do happen to know how I can download Xenoblade Chronicles 2, then I will really appreciate it.

(like in idk wiki or official website) You can clearly see that this game is not on PC, you can only play it on the Switch. So what the are you just downloaded there, deleted it immediately because it might be virus. And finally, get the Switch.

Not sure whats happening here. As soon as i installed the game, I installed the 1.20 update and copied the crack over. After that, I installed the 1.21 update and copied over the crack like before. The game seems to automatically terminate itself every time I try to enter a match. Am I missing something? Is it because I chose a poor location to install the game?
does it come with blank character portrait in character select screen? If so, you need to download and install v1.20 patch before installing v1.21. v1.20 patch come with a lot of files needed for v1.21 to work
To fix slow/laggy game: google "bbtag improvement mod", download and extract inside game folder, open "settings.ini" with notepad, then: Lower rendering setting resolution, use fullscreen, turn off AA & V-sync, cpu usage fix 1 That works for me
Go to windows defender > allow an app or feature through windows defender > change setting > allow another app > locate your game folder/BBTAG.exe > add > ok.
I made all of this bc at first I was having problem with game crashing, later was the lag and used the improvement mod, later still laggy bc of the HUD and modify again the settings and now I cant start a fight bc this pop up and I dont know what to do
yes you can, if you download online multiplayer fix from revolt But you need to be online on steam + can only play with fellow cracked gamer (or you get disconnected)
particularly you can't. But if you are using improvement mod, go to setting.ini, scroll down and find '# INGAME PROMPT BUTTON LAYOUT SETTINGS' and set the value to '1'.

Well, did you apply the crack from the new patch? You can't use the old crack to play updated version of the game. If you still have that problem, re-install the game and try again.

Alright so for some reason, i cant apply the update (the newest one by codex). I think i need all the previous updates because it will not work. ive uninstalled and reinstalled the game several times but it wont help. Anyone with any advice please help me i would appreciate it greatly

Hello everyone! I have an annoying problem with the game, I have installed the game / updates correctly but when I started it, the game window crashed. (ಥ﹏ಥ) It's weird since Guilty Gear and other games have no problems. (ノ ಠ 益 ಠ) ノ 彡 ┻━┻ -I've tried with the Mod to configure the size of the game window -I have tried installing K-Lite Codec Pack and using the DirectVobSub -I have tried with Codec Pack All in 1 -I have tried installing Media Feature Pack for Windows But nothing has worked so far xd, if anyone can suggest solutions would be of great help, Hugs to all the community (.◕‿‿◕.). (Sorry for my bad English, it's not my native language x))
Alright then, this is a weird error. Sometime you don't even know if your computer can even run the game. You did use the 'improvement mod' right, try setting the rendering setting to fit your screen resolution. If you are using DirectVobSub, try go to General tab and uncheck External and Embedded. Try install all the vcredist in '_commonredist' folder. And don't worry, i'm not a native speaker either.

Uninstall the game (remember to backup your save) and install the game again, if you don't have the game install files anymore you have to download it again.

Struggling for nearly 2 hours and I had a good new and a bad new. Good new is: I had the 1.20 patch and it included all DLC from the previous patch, I'm uploading it and ready to share when i'm done. I'm confused. I thought applying the patches 1.10-1.12 were the update itself. I copied all of it and the dlc characters worked perfectly fine, only the online lobbies have an issue.

extract the 'BlazBlue.Cross.Tag.Battle.v1.10.Update'. after that copy all the files in the 'Update' folder and put it into the game folder you just install.
You need to start the game in administrator mode after both controllers are connected, and it should work fine. I use XboxOne controllers through microUSB.
*For those who ACTUALLY care about the game. It's been a pretty long times but they finally added 'Performance mode' setting in the game to fix the terrible fps drop (kind of). Yes, it in patch update 1.12, I'll send you guy the update if you actually care about the game (it will included patch 1.11 and 1.12). *note: it's not necessary to had this patch because there are no new characters and it's very unlikely this game will have another big DLC patch. well, that is what I'm doing here. you don't even know how long you gonna get the update when you use the "game request". meanwhile I'm patrol here everyday. everyone who asked will get the update as long as I'm still here.
also, the app sometimes give "not responding" message whenever it's starting. And the opening always results in black screen and choppy music. But the rest of the game works fine. The battled is kind of laggy, though... and i always booted from the online lobby... or my avatar froze in place when the lobby is empty. Any way to fix the problem?

you can install SCPtoolkit if youre not using X-box controller for your PC. Its literally a driver for your controller, be it standard USB controller, even PS3 and PS4 controller are all readable as X-box 360 controller. You can search on google for that

there really not much in the patch 1.11a beside bug fix and charaters balanced. I think i'll upload when there is a bigger patch coming but if you still want it then oh well.

The 1.02 patch has all the dlc but not the voice while the 1.10 patch is an official update by the developer(arcsysworks) itself,has the voice and some bug fix.

Ok, so um, the game is awfully slow for me. I play in an Intel HD Graphics 520 (I know, I know, Intel HD sucks, don't need to remind me, I know that better than ANYONE on the planet), but the strange thing is most of other kinda heavy games like Rocket League and Street Fighter IV run nicely, even online. Any idea what could this be? (8 GB RAM, core i5) Also, I know there's been an issue with Nvidia cards not being enabled by default by the game or something, does this have something to do with my laptop having dynamic video memory, instead of dedicated video memory?

That's because your playing with players who have legit copies, you can play against those with the same cilent as you man. Should try finding a crack community for this game
So, after downloading it, it seems to actually be added to my steam library. Im very scared this will actually affect my account. Is there any danger or should i just remove it from steam and not touch it again?
After a day or two of trying it, I'm almost tempted to get it on steam. Then I realized I never play multiplayer with fighting games. (mostly since it's a deathwish) However I like how it has smart combos while still having some room of button combos. An interesting balance. Though I cannot forgive them for teasing characters like Aigis in campaign. Giving them money now, at its current state is not worth it. Unless 1 or 2 years are passed where they released an ultimate edition or all the DLC+Game is at a good 75% off.

If you have any lag problems here is a solution: Go to the NVIDIA Control Panel by right clicking on your desk top and clicking on "NVIDIA Control Panel". In the default screen that pops up (it should be "manage 3D settings", and the "Program Settings" tab should be automatically selected), under "1. Select a program to customize:" hit the "Add" button. From here, navigate to the folder where your steam games are located. For me, it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common. Select the folder for the game you want to use your NVIDIA card for, and find the .exe for that game (it's usually right in the main game folder). Select it and hit open. Then, under "2. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program:" open the drop-down menu and select "High-performance NVIDIA processor". Finally, hit apply in the far bottom right corner, and you should be good to go

if you meet the recommended system requirements and it still drops frames, the problem is probably on their side. if you have a pc with low specs, try a lowering the quality in the settings. if that doesn't work.. its probably time to upgrade your hardware.
It work at first, but when i move the extracted folder to other location, crash when run bbtag.exe, i tried to extract it again, its the same, crash at start up, any sugestion?
If it ran in one location, but then it stops working when moved somewhere else, try moving it back to where it was when it first ran. If it works that way, the first run made an entry in your Windows Registry wherich will make it possible to run only from that one location. You have to remove that registry value and re0run the game after a re-extraction.

For people crashing after the Arcsys logo. If you have K-:Lite Codec Pack installed, open DirectVobSub > General tab > untick External and Embedded. For some reason this will fix it.
Apparently there's a fix out there that let's you play with other pirate players, but I can't confirm if that works as I haven't tried it yet. Maybe I'll try it out later and give an update on it.
Edit: Yup, online with the fix works. Someone posted a discord server in this thread that has players, if you wanna play online go there.

You can clearly see that this game is not on PC, you can only play it on the Switch.
So what the are you just downloaded there, deleted it immediately because it might be virus.

Not sure whats happening here. As soon as i installed the game, I installed the 1.20 update and copied the crack over. After that, I installed the 1.21 update and copied over the crack like before. The game seems to automatically terminate itself every time I try to enter a match. Am I missing something? Is it because I chose a poor location to install the game?
v1.20 patch come with a lot of files needed for v1.21 to work
google "bbtag improvement mod", download and extract inside game folder, open "settings.ini" with notepad, then:

You can't use the old crack to play updated version of the game.

Sometime you don't even know if your computer can even run the game.
You did use the 'improvement mod' right, try setting the rendering setting to fit your screen resolution.
If you are using DirectVobSub, try go to General tab and uncheck External and Embedded.
Try install all the vcredist in '_commonredist' folder.
And don't worry, i'm not a native speaker either.
That is all the possibility I can think of right now, I tried them all and the game worked perfect.
If I'm not wrong to download the game here, it comes with the Codex 1.0 no?

also, the app sometimes give "not responding" message whenever it's starting. And the opening always results in black screen and choppy music. But the rest of the game works fine. The battled is kind of laggy, though... and i always booted from the online lobby... or my avatar froze in place when the lobby is empty. Any way to fix the problem?

Is there a setting for 2D backround and such....
Go to the NVIDIA Control Panel by right clicking on your desk top and clicking on "NVIDIA Control Panel".
In the default screen that pops up (it should be "manage 3D settings", and the "Program Settings" tab should be automatically selected), under "1. Select a program to customize:" hit the "Add" button.
From here, navigate to the folder where your steam games are located. For me, it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common.
Select the folder for the game you want to use your NVIDIA card for, and find the .exe for that game (it's usually right in the main game folder). Select it and hit open.
Then, under "2. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program:" open the drop-down menu and select "High-performance NVIDIA processor".
Finally, hit apply in the far bottom right corner, and you should be good to go
im not sure but... this might be the deluxe edition, with the complete DLC only characters. and those become available when it gets released in steam. if i got it right, the DLC characters are already in this game, and will unlock eventually.
