Here is a fix for update error. I will assume you know where you installed Cultist Simulator. Navigate to: Cultist Simulator The Exile\cultistsimulator_Data\StreamingAssets\edition Delete the file "please_buy_our_game.txt" This fixed the issue for me and I hope it fixes it for you too!
This is correct, however, numerous users below referenced it as an error and I followed suit. Deleting the message does allow the game to work and not throw the "error" mentioned by others.
every time I try to start a game, there's a "ERROR : Please Update Game" message. Stopping me from playing the game. Would be nice to see this crack fixed soon.
I have the same problem. I was literally one step away from winning the major enlightenment victory, i just had to figure the last clue out, but i went to bed because it was already like 2:30 AM, and the next day as i boot it up it just slaps me in the face with this bs. If anyone knows how to fix this it would be very much appreciated.
Believe me, in this game, when you think you need one thing and you reached victory, there is always another thing you didn't know that you need and that's how I screwed 99% of my runs seeking one of the main 7 ambitions. As for the fix, a comment above has a quick fix for the issue!

Yes, it seems parts for DLC are in the game but not complete. You need DLC .json on [Game Folder]\cultistsimulator_Data\StreamingAssets\content\core\legacies (ex. DLC_DANCER_dancer_legacy.json) Still don't know how to activate it though. Edit: Still no clue how to activate DLC. I do know how you cheat mess around with the game though. Find [Game Folder]\cultistsimulator_Data\StreamingAssets\content\core You could edit all matter of things from the game there with .json file available. You could go to https://www.frangiclave.net/ for more detail/organized info.
What are you talking about? Link is over 1 GB because they even included the music from the game. That was over 2 months ago (way before the recent update)

Solution: Download and install Daemon Tools. Browse to the .bin file Mount it with Daemon Tools Go to "My PC" Open the new device "CS_PE" End the installation
Does this include the Dancer DLC? When I try to talk to Sulochana in the Ecdysis Club, I can put her in the Entry slot but I can't start the action. Is this a bug?
workaround: get earlyer version e.g. v2019.1k.1, download & unpack this one then simply copy/overwrite files to the folder of earlyer version. had same problem, got solved this way

This is an absolutely fantastic game made by a two person team. I'd strongly encourage actually paying for it, the game is cheap for the amount of content and all purchases made this week come with free access to all DLC.
I do really love the devs but $20 is a lot, especially since I just want to find out if this really is a more elaborate version of the free mobile game Underhand
I am using this site for ~1 year now and NEVER was there any game which turned out to really contain a virus. Depending on your antivirus you might get a lot of false warnings. And even IF there was a virus you act like a spoiled brat, what the heck do you think you're doing? You're illegally downloading games for free, there's always a little risk with this sort of stuff.
