Other cultures do have or have had more than two genders, however everyone in that culture are genetically male or female. From my research, it seems that the vast majority of intersex people dress, socialize, and carry themselves though daily life as one of the two genders. Sometimes they switch based on how they are feeling, but biologically there's nothing new that is made from mixing male and female, it's just the two genders coexisting in one body.
