I join into the pile of requests for a fix. Compatibility mode and running as admin hasn't helped: the game seems to always delete all progress upon returning to menu. Almost seems as if it is an anti-piracy measure rather than an actual bug.
Either way the game seems pretty fun, though one big, big tip: USE MOUSE AIMING MODE (toggled with "T")!! It's much, much easier to control the orientation of your ship with the mouse than with the two direction keys, although you can play it like that if you want an extra challenge he he

Thanks Balthor for saving us the trouble of finding out other ways it won't work! Really hoping it isn't so and a fix be found soon. But I have a strong feeling you're right! Crossing fingers. :)

Dear IGG_Games moderators, This awesome game is not autosaving which it supposed to do. There is no other way of saving it. May we, your humble fans, beseech you to replace it with a copy that has a properly working autosave function. We thank you in advance for never ending compassion! :)

As fun as this game is, the game doesn't seem to save properly, making it feel kinda pointless to keep playing.
I've beat the first boss twice now, and both times it's told me I've unlocked a new fighter, "The Fur", which of course I can't access. The progress indicator on the menu screen stays at 0%. Every time I die, or press "Quit to Menu", the game freezes for a moment and almost seems like it's shutting down and turning back on again, though that may be because of it being fullscreen.
Perhaps the autosave feature isn't working properly, or is turned off somehow?
