It's an indie game. The day you learn what "Indie" means, you will understand that Indie Games are developed by small, tiny companies. It also wouldn't surprise me if it is still in Early Access. And if it is, it still needs to be polished and optimized. What do you expect? Do you expect an Indie Game to be as polished as the Triple-A titles out there? I'll tell you the answer. They are not. A game that's unpolished an not optimized will require better hardware, as to counter bugs, an unneccessary amount of code, etc.
