Only one download link works anymore and it doesn't even have the cracked steam files so it just takes you to the steam page. I doubt anyone from IGG will see this, but there have also been updates as well as an expansion released for this game for quite some time now.
I've debugged this a bit, my guess is the cracked steamapi included is somehow not up to date with the game and causes it to crash. If anyone wishes to help me out let's get in touch and fix this release!

Yep, I initially thought it was part of SSE lol. I blindly tried .dlls from several other releases but I get the exact same error. I'll look more into it next week.
It's "unique" to the game you want to run. I'd imagine the original one tied to the game would work, since it's Steam DRM that is emulated via SSE, but it might need a crack.
This game is broken and seems like it'll never be fixed, even after two weeks straight of requests for an answer or re-upload. Kind of disappointed tbh.
It was reuploaded. The problem is the crack/the person that cracked it. Just have to wait for THAT person to fix it, and then have everyone else re-upload it for our freeloading asses. :B
Hm. So apparently it was re-uploaded, but I do not believe it was tested, as it doesn't work. "It" being the person that cracked the game. So, I'm not sure if whoever uploaded this is the cracker or not, but it's currently not working as of this time. I hope that if/when they do re-upload it again, they change the name so we know it is fixed.
The Pirates Fate download has been broken for over a week, it says it had been re-uploaded but nothing has changed. SSE can't run the game properly, it gives an error each time you try to run it saying to check the "startIn" and "target" and make sure they are correct, even if they are.
All things considered, I can understand why ... whoever the one that is that uploads this stuff/makes it that it'll take a bit of time to fix issues that came up after the fact. I just hope that they'll get to it soon. It's a small issue, but maybe that there's something wrong with the crack itself and they can't fix it right away?
I just wish they could have said something. Like if they were working on it or if they can't. People have been asking for a week straight and not one admin/mod has commented on it. I dunno.

I've opened the configuration file and played around with the paths, but I can't seem to get it to work. I'm not well versed with SSE so I'm probably missing something.
