hey anyone found out how to save without reopening the game and losing the progress? so far i keep trying to save and close down the game and it never actually saves my progress D:
it saves the game, it just fails to detect it, to fix this go to the directory; u can do this by using open file location on the desktop icon of the game, and then finding the folder "SaveGames" or "Profiles" and copying its contents. Next step will be to go to your Documents and finding your Ubisoft Folder. If you dont have it, make one. Then make another folder named "Far Cry 5", then another folder inside of that named "SaveGames". In the final folder, paste the contents of the that you have copied earlier. Hope this works! :D

Far Cry 2 is absolutely one of the most miserable gaming experiences I have ever had. I think everyone is clouded by nostalgia because replaying the game again I couldn't play for more than a few hours because I was bored to tears. None of the characters have any personality, the buddy system has no value other that attempting to add some shallow drama and nonexistent morality, the fast travel is inconvenient and a chore to use, if you want to get money you have to take side missions that are no fun at all and all follow the same formula, everything is too far away to walk to so you have to drive everywhere which is normally fine but once you lose your car you're SOL and have to slowly trek forever to somewhere with a car because you can't sprint for shit and this is compounded by the fact you have a malaria system which will kill you when you're out in the middle of nowhere when can't find a quick way back to get any more medicine, enemies blend into the scenery requiring you to get shot at just so you have a vague idea of where the hell they are, the art style is half bland half ugly aside from one sand texture I saw which was pretty nice, RESPAWNING ENEMY CHECKPOINTS, there is nothing to do in the world besides shoot africans, there is almost no wildlife as I only managed to see one antelope in my playthrough, the map is buggy and often shows you driving off of the road while you're on it making it disorienting to use and repairing your vehicle takes forever and is something you have to do constantly because you'll be driving through an enemy checkpoint every 10 minutes where a guy in the back of a jeep will shoot your ride to shit and follow you to the ends of the earth when you just want to get to your destination. The only good things I can say about the game is how fire spreads, weapon degradation is visible on the weapon you're using and the large variety of healing animations. Other than those 3 pretty cool mechanics it is a soulless and empty experience with nothing of value. A few gritty particle effects and some breakable wood and sheet metal buildings can't change that fact. But what do I know? I'm just a blank face in the comment section of warez site.

It's a fact that Far Cry 5 has less environmental features than Far Cry 2. Examples of the things that COULD'VE been implemented in Far Cry 5 in the climate it's located in in-game:
More healing animations
Guns getting dirty (With for example a cleaning animation of some sort instead of eventually breaking)
Shooting through thin objects, including fences and every wooden object(which should've been implemented 100% cause it's very logical.)
Moving flora(by the wind, more realism would be great)
Movable flora(by the player)
etc.

etc... Just the overall environmental realism is lacking, so, SO much.

And you also forgot the great arcade mode that gives us access to unlimited card content for coop or pvp 6 against 6, you can even keep your story skills for this mode. Far Cry 5 is an excellent game. Certainly it's already seen. But many things have been changed on the system of progression and armament in particular. It is no longer useful to kill animals to craft better holsters and more. There is no objectivity in what you say.
