It saddens me to have to say this, but the game is not worth it at all at it's current state. There are a lot of things that look very interesting about it, but it has huge glaring flaws that bring it down very hard. The "dynamic and tactical combat" is a joke, it's garbage. The enemies try to rush you unless you're in a protected zone, they're dumb as fuck and often hit eachother, and you can kill virtually anything by backpedaling and spamming attacks. As long as you don't run out of stamina you're fine, and if you do you just run around while they follow you in the dumbest way possible. Sure, you can try and play the game "tactically" like they want you to, but it's not really worth it. Blocking sucks, unless you're using something that can parry you take damage each time you block, and the grappling mechanic is just a pain rather than an advantage or even an option, it makes you sacrifice your mobility and you always end up trading blows with the opponent. Stealth ends up being the best option to avoid combat altogether most of the time, as combat also doesn't reward you with literally anything from what I've seen: no items, obviously no XP, nothing worth it.
The other interesting mechanic that ends up being pretty bad is the main point of the game: tainting. "Designed to encourage role-playing". Bah. It simply checks what actions you perform the most and offers you options based on that. It's interesting in paper but badly executed. For instance, the game presents you with supposed "moral choices" like "oh here's an NPC that says a couple of things and does literally nothing else, he looks like he's suffering and miserable, do you wanna kill him for no reason?". You may think "oh, maybe if I kill him I'm putting him out of his misery". Nope, that's an "EVIL" action, and you get a penalty (but it serves to unlock certain Taints, it's the laziest and dumbest way to do it though). Same with killing "innocent animals" for food (you also get the choice to pet them, which is cute, but it's probably pointless). So actively ignoring them ends up being better most of the time, which is boring as all hell.
The overall "power" system, centered around taints but also consisting of a couple more elements, is unbalanced and not terribly interesting. You have lots of effects that can happen to you, but they all translate into a percentual plus or minus to your overall "power". You're hungry? -10% power, and growing fast unless you find food (which is scarce). You have a taint that gives you more power the more items you have? Sounds cool, but it's just another +X% power buff.... yay...
Some seem to have an actual effect outside of that, but i've only seen a handful and they weren't terribly interesting either.
There's a good amount more things, both bad and good, that I haven't mentioned here, but unless you really like the aesthetics or you want to try out those janky mechanics I mentioned, I recommend you pass up on this until further notice.

Thanks for the warning. I know that this site is a legally dubious source of games, but I can't get back the time that I would have otherwise spent on a game that I wouldn't like.
