Same here, launches with no crack, but stuck at start screen. I'll buy it since I saw some videos and it looks fun. I always buy games that I actually enjoy. I just dont pay for crapware. Hopefully the purchased version runs well.
Creator spent 3 years on this game and only like 10 purchases, that's so god damn sad :c Try it out, it's hard at first but it gets much better later on. If you like it, please buy it!
The Nintendo Switch has been a huge hit with indie developers, maybe it could generate sales from that platform. The issue is that this isn't the first game to have this top down shooter concept, Zombie Driver, Alien Shooter, Alien Shooter 2, CS2D, Time Recoil all are designed the same but are also better in some aspects. I played it and it sadly feels like every other top down shooters concepts smashed together. It was also in development for an extremely long time.
Pros: +You will die a lot (It's a real rogue-like). +Good visuals, smooth gameplay. +You are fully at the mercy of RNGesus. +It's satisfying painting the walls with the blood of demon llamas. +Contains many bad puns. +Couch co-op promised and delivered. +No spoon-feeding of powerups and what they do. +twin stick shooting is fun. Cons: -You will die a lot, sorry buddy. -No online multiplayer (would really be a great addition). -I've confused the health bar for the energy bar more than I would like to admit. -IT TOOK FOREVER TO COME OUT. In all fairness that helped polish the game a lot, but still; boo. If you aren't a usual player of the genre be prepared to die a lot, get frustrated, and then die a whole lot more. Eventually as if by some form of divine intervention, the stars align juuuuust right and you drop that OP weapon and perk combo that carries you through to the next chapter (called Districts in this game). Where you will promptly die (probably) and repeat the cycle, rinsing optional. To the regular rouge-like crowd, this sits up there with the best of them IMHO. Special power timings are unforgiving, energy runs out quick, and aim is crucial. Think Risk of Rain meets Enter the Gungeon meets the kiting required for D3. Full disclosure: I did get the game early and free in exchange for certain, favours, which I would not like to discuss any further. The game is 100% worth the price tag, I will be buying a copy to support the small team who made this. Protip: Stand next to another mech and press d pad up to revive or transfer health. Each tap is a bar of health.
