There is a setup file in the update folder. Just click setup.exe and point it to the original game. Make sure to copy the contents of the CODEX folder to the game folder when the install completes.
I have a bug after updating my game, insted of names of items it sometims shows #autoLOC_ (and default lunguage is I think russian). Is it just my problem? I've read that it's something with corrupted files and that I am supposed to verify files, but how am I supposed to do it on pirated version? Help very appreciated!
No its not a glitch or corrupted, IGG uploaded the russian version of the game (which is quite annoying but im not gonna complain). what i did to fix that is, first open BuildID64 and rename "ru" next to language to en-us it should look like this, language = en-us Next, download ksp 1.12 from another website (I used steamunlocked) then navigate to (KSP 1.12 Folder) > GameData > Squad > Localization and then copy or cut the "dictionary.cfg" and put in to The same location but in the ksp that you download from here (ksp 1.12.1) and replace it And then navigate to (KSP 1.12 Folder) > GameData > SquadExpansion > Localization and then do the same thing, copy or cut dictionary.cfg and put it into the same location in the 1.12.1 folder. (KSP 1.12 Folder) should be the one download from another website (i used steamunlocked) (KSP 1.12.1) Should be the ksp downloaded from this website (igg games) I hope this helps, Also ask me any question if you need :)

The download has all of the logos, text as Russian. The text can be easily fixed by replacing the dictionary.cfg, but sometimes that can be hard to find. It's quite a big inconvenience for some people so I'd like it fixed. (sorry for any English mistakes)
no. it contained a bitcoin miner that i couldn't remove. it asked for permission to install it and i decline but it still installed it. the bitcoin miner was called : Great Discover. i couldn't delete it. took me a while to get rid of it and i'm still not sure if it's completely gone. please fix that.
I checked the update files and its just a regular plaza release with no bitcoin miner. make sure you download the correct .rar file and not an ad download. also you dont need the update for this game, the base file (1.11.2) is more recent than the update file (1.10.1) so don't bother with the update.
oh my bad i must've downloaded the wrong file by mistake... because mine was a .exe with the same name which installed bitcoin miners along with other adware. i downloaded the torrent from http://1337X.to which was uploaded by IGGGAMESCOM by the name of: Kerbal Space Program v1.11.1.03066 (GOG) that's safe right?
Hey IGG? You might wanna look into the models of KSP again. Because some of them, like the RT boosters, have a revamped model. And you can indeed see this revamped model in the VAB, but when you bring them on the launch pad, they use the old model. Might wanna fix that.
for everybody that's asking for the dlc , get KSP from the torrnet section and deselect everything but what you need to save Time (MAKE sure you get KSP too , remove the german and russian versions its about 2GB if you do )
I notice that when I downloaded this a few days ago they didn't have the dlc even though it clearly says '& ALL DLC'. I was even missing the premade ships that usually come with it. would it be possible if i just copy and pasted the dlc files from 1.11.0?

To fix your language you need to go to Gamedata/Squad/Localization open the file in there and replace it all with the text https://sebsauvage.net/paste/?ceca94f902e921e2#sbaJuDikeBUODTHny59m1COy/5SlsEiFRshQXSD2EzU= and go back to your games install and open BuildID and BuildID64 change the language from ru to en-us and save both of them now try launching your game and it should be fixed.
it's free but it's russian, even if you update the localization dictionary to english, mods will still adjust to russian. guess ill stick to the old version
Thanks for upload. Is Russian version only? In the install directory there is a file called "buildID64.txt" that has a language option, but changing it seems to cause it to error as though it can't find any other language files.
The build number in buildID.txt is 03066. In 1.11 it was 03045. So it should be the 1.11.1 version. The question is why all download sites have just this Russian version?

Parallax mod doesn't seem to work with this version. It says it's for KSP 1.10.1, though it says the game is version 1.10.1 on IGG. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to request an update?

Check your Windows Defender to see if it deleted http://LqdEnginePoodle_v2.mu, sometimes Windows Defender will recognise certain files as viruses as a measure to combat piracy. Despite the fact that these aren't viruses, if IGG Games was putting viruses in their games, I would immediately stop using IGG Games. Aside from that, if Windows Defender did recognise http://LqdEnginePoodle_v2.mu as a virus or such, then head into Windows Defender and allow http://LqdEnginePoodle_v2.mu.
There was a time where IGG obnoxiously replaced textures of the launch sequence to advertise themselves, but nowadays all IGG is is a great repository of releases.
Use CKAN to install mods that are compatible with your game version. CKAN is a mod manager, you can install mods easily using it. Just google it to find the file.

Nevermind, found out how, basically what you want to do is right click the shortcut for the game, and then click go to file location, and in GameData should be "Squad" Put your mod in there.
You DO NOT put your mods in the "squad" folder. You only put them in the "gamedata" folder which MUST be there since that is the base games data folder so it wouldn't work at all without that. Sometimes the modders put them into multiple folders for some wierd reason so you might need to go into the mod folder and see if there is a "gamedata" folder in there(ie Mechjeb mod with gamedata and then mechjeb the mod itself inside that, if so go in that and then put what is in it into the games "gamedata" folder. Ckan does help some with file compatibility/installing etc but not all mods use that so depending on what mods you want you may need to use the normal way anyway. Poor file! If the file is injured you need to take care of it! :P If you want to extract the file i'd use winrar! download winrar that will help you extract the file! If you cant then something wrong with your computer! Maybe do a complete virus scan with AVG anti-virus and AVG Tune-up both of them together will help keep your computer running in top shape! been doing it for years with my old computer and now with my gaming rig. And a Unity Engine tip, ad "-popupwindow" at the shortcut executing and it will start in Borderless ;)

You need to fix the updates, it instead deletes my GameData, causing it to stuck in a black screen with a cursor. After all heck of googling, I fixed that by downloading the 1.7.1 version and put the gamedata right to my 1.8.0. But it instead sets it to 1.7.1 and now i have no idea how can i fix the issue.

Hi I have a problem I tried to install KSP 1.8 but it didn't work so I uninstalled every KSP verson and tried reinstalling them I can play KSP 1.7.1 but the others don't install. I could play them before but now I can't. When I click update on any version it says Hash sum of a file Setup-1.cdx is not valid, errors can occur, do you want to proceed? And when I click yes it starts installing with everything valid until another screen pops up saying ISDone.dll but nothing to click or anything. It's just a small white window that I can't do literally nothing works even alt+f4 I can't close it. Can you guys please help me with this?
if you found yourself stuck in loading screen at squadexpansion/makinghistory/bla/bla after updating to 1.7.2 > 1.7.3 > 1.8.0 try deleting "setting.cfg" in ksp installation folder, it fix problem for me hope its work for you too, good luck. PS : you need do that everytime u run the game, Holycrabs!
FYI, in this version, 1.8.0, MK3 Cockpits are a little broken, dont toggle their light. And dont try using any Part mods that did not recompile and release a 1.8+ version ;)

update 1.7.2 first then update 1.7.3 in order and do not check copy contents of PLAZA do that after. Edit: For better fps right click ksp.exe go to properties then compatibility & check box for disable full screen optimizations. Then go to change DPI settings & check box override high DPI scaling then apply. this tip helps for stuttering.

there should be a file called smart steam emu, inside it look for language = english and change to french, if the game does support french wich it may not.
The only "steam-emu" I found is in PLAZA \ KSP_x64_Data \ Plugins . But by putting it in the game files in KSP_x64_Data \ Plugins \ is changing the language, nothing changes!

I downloded it in utorrent it appeared as to vee or not to vee i.e. v1.6 and then when i opened the game it was written in bottom right corner where the version of the game is shown it showed v1.5 i.e. making history i was very dissapointed seeing that

I got the same error at first, check that your install route is correct, mine was "C:\Games\Kerbal Space Program To Vee or not To Vee MULTI9" but the default in the updater is "C:\Games\Kerbal Space Program To Vee or not To Vee"
It's because it was just released last week. Everything will be up to date. Also nublet, rather than just relying on ckan, go ahead and follow the link that ckan has for each mod. Most of the authors consider ckan low priority and they release latest versions on their own github first. Also, just because ckan won't automatically unzip the file for you, it doesn't mean it's not compatible. I use probably 60 mods that were made for previous versions of ksp on the latest one. It's not like version disparity means it won't work. It all depends on the specific patch and if the devs changed vital filestructure. So just go ahead and install the mods you want, they should work fine. There is only ONE mod that you MUST have a matching version for and that's Kopernicus, the mod that's a prereq if you want to install player made additional planets or stars.
As a fellow 'Kopernicus' MOD-user, I highly agree [and perhaps, HyperEdit as well]! Although, I got to admit... ever since hitting ver-1.1.3, I've been reluctant enough to update my game, mostly due to my self-made MOD featuring 200+ new parts to all categories, not to mention that I've to write DLL-Plugins all over again... At that time, I used nearly 10 older MODs, notably the 'B9 Aerospace Pack'... and it works [except for landing gears], even if I didn't even fiddled anything in it... I wonder, what would happen if I just throw everything in without updating the plugin to ver-1.6.1...

Ah come on can't you just accept 1.5? All mods that are compatible with 1.5.1 should be compatible with 1.5, and besides, it's not like you can't go to those's mods archives and look up older versions.
actually quite difficult to get them working (unless you only have a few mods) you would have to go and edit the .version files per mod to trick them into running with 1.5 and they very rarely have compatibility issues or outright do not even run, but hey, we're pirating, not like we have much room to complain :P
Yes, I have a 32bit OS and it works quite nicely. Altough, you have to take in consideration that the 64 bit version of ksp.exe has a bigger RAM limit, so you can tehnically run more mods on the 64 bit version, but you shouldn't have problems with minimal 2 GB of ram, 2 core processor and a 32 bit OS.

extract the zip. open the "update" folder and run the setup. crank up the volume and wait for that beat to drop! or pause it. point to the game directory. check the "copy contents..." box and then install. do this for all updates. dont expect most games on here to be updated this way though. most just get reuploaded at the new version so you have to redownload the whole game. as a guy you might know mentioned, just copy your game saves to the new game dir.

for me, I just keep Making History in a separate folder, I restored it to where it should be and then the updated updated the game successfully. I think you can play the game after that
Its very simple this new installer is looking for your previous making history installation assets, if it cannot find those then it will throw an error
the group that made this release is called PLAZA, i dont know if this version can load the craft files, but it does load mods, the links u can find them above in the middle section of the post
Im new to KSP on the PC, but you have to right click the game icon from within the folder and hit contents - now if you're on Mac it should say MacOS and you want to go into that and click the executable file
yes, just look up mods for KSP and once u run the game put them in the Addons file or it will say something like that. Then run the game. Make sure the mods are for the correct version, and to get CKAN, run CKAN.exe via terminal for Mac (look up a guide) or do the instructions for Windows. If you're running a Linux platform I can't help you there.

For all those how ask, the file contain the game installer + the DLC installer. You need to install the game first, then the DLC, but if the game is already installed and updated, just launch the DLC installer =D

The game is defaulted to Russian, and when I change the language from ru to en in BuildID and BuildID64, it just changes the text from Russian to random numbers/letters. Anyone know how to fix this?

In part 2 is the rest of the files. Cracked games are usually uploaded in several (or many) smaller parts. I think it's because larger files are monitored more closely and/or because downloading large files from unstable and slow hosters is terrible. Also the upload size limit you have on some platforms doesn't help. And the password is so that no one simply copies these files and hosts them as their own. (Kinda ironic)

When i replace the language in dictionary.cfg and i save it, a diognostic message appears saying it cannot modify the volume C:\Users------\Downloads\Kerbal.Space.Program.v1.3.1.1891.part1.rar: Cannot modify volume Then when i go back to the .cfg file it goes back to russian... D: ( it also does the same thing with the build.txt files )

Note that you CANNOT change the entirety of this game to English. Not gonna happen. The dictionary.cfg fix posted below will fix only the UI elements, but everything else - the KSPedia, the buttons in the IVA, the text and labels on ships and ship elements, the location names of contracts, they're all still going to be in Russian and you CANNOT fix this. DO NOT DOWNLOAD if you want an English version of the game!!!
solved the language issue, but noticed that i couldn't change the settings and the "settings.cfg" file is missing from "gamedata", so i can't fullscreen it :(
Hey! I found a solution to the autoLOC stuff! In the github thing, scroll to the bottom, THEN you hit ctrl+A and ctrl+C. This is because your computer was lazy and didn't copy it all because it figured load the page when you read there. That's why you get autoLOC on a loot of things. At the bottom of the .cfg I noticed the code looked unfinished. That's why this happens and how I found the solution.

Just go in MEGA , find "Kerbal.Space.Program.v1.3.1.1847.part1" and open it , now extract THE ENTIRE FILE to the desk and now you can edit the files with NO PROBLEMS whatsoever.

The info given on how to change from Russian to English is posted 3 or 4 times further up the thread and I guarantee it works, Just make sure you follow the instruction exactly. It definitely works. I have v1.3.1.1891 as well. If you can't get it going it's you not the software. I'm no computer genius, so if I can do it anyone but a blind imbecile should be able to.
hmmm my game is in Russian... So I downloaded that file @disqus_FpWSbAszio:disqus mentions in a previous comment. I installed it but now all the text is replaced by stuff like #autoloc_700, #autoloc_892R5, etc. I'm not sure what to do...😢
Instead of doing "en-us" do "en" the guy below made an error. The dictionary file has "en" not "en-us" so go back to buildid files and change it to "en"
It's pretty simple. In \GameData\Squad\Localization inside the KSP folder, there should be a file called dictionary.cfg. Replace that file with the one from here: https://github.com/KSP-Localization/Squad-Translation/tree/master/Languages/en-us After you do that, find the files BuildID.txt and BuildID64.txt. Inside both those files, there should be a line saying 'prerelease language = ru'. Change that to en-us to turn it into english.

The game is in simplified Chinese, of course, it wouldn't be easy to just to get an English version. I wonder that what part 2 is about it converts your game into Chinese. You know the funny part is the luncher is English

Community Announcement: Kerbal Space Program 1.3 is obviously attracting many people due to the promise of localization. After playing around, the problem seems to be that the only available language in the dictionary ("dictionary.cfg") is Chinese and no other languages have been downloaded in this install. The only way to fix this is to find an install and copy the necessary entries into the file. Then "BuildID.txt" and "BuildID64.txt" can be updated to the language needed. Hey I may have found a solution that'll work for us. You see that download a little further down in this comment wall? The squad folder that guy uploaded has its own English language files. The reason why it's not working for some people is because they copied it to their game but didn't change around the BuildIID and BuildID64 files to "en-us" like you said. I'm gonna try that now and see if it works

Alright. I was about to try the other squad folder's localization files, but it doesn't appear to have a dictionary file, so you were right about it being 1.2.9
In text language, the English text identifier isn't "en-use" or "en-usa". It's "en-us". They never add an A or E. Try that edit nevermind, it got fixed. Redownload it, it's good now
Would it be possible to also have some older versions uploaded? I am looking for 1.1.3, as a lot of mods are not compatible with newer versions.. The 1.2 update borked a lot of them. While the mod authors are working on updating them, I would love to play 1.1.3 in the meantime. Thanks :)

i did it.i had this game by this page since 3 years, then i buyed it since 2 years , is my best game in my library with more than 500h played and still playing. And only for 20€. Is better than the fucking battlefield, pay 40€ for it, pay for his dlcs and earn money to buy the next battlefield in 1 year..... For me is a nice game, with a good comunity, there isnt trolls allowed in this game :), this game is to love it or hate it. if u want play it you need see a lot of tutos in youtube.
There might be SOMETHING in the game that doesn't work correctly if there's an asset file that's broken. Maybe a really small, unnoticeable texture or something, I don't think you need to worry about it.
Funny thing is, when i'm trying to copy other files from part2, it asks if i want to replace the same files from folder, so that means they all present in part1, along with that broken file... I've already played KSP 1.2 for a while - nothing to worry about.

i play it some make a rocket/aircraft fly it come back to the vab/hangar then make another then when i try to launch it the game crashes sometimes it crashes when i cant even fly a one

Hating or not, just be glad you can get the game, if there's one problem with the big files is that, even a bit of it is corrupt, you have to redownload the entire damn thing, with parts, you can just redownload the corrupted or bad part
why is it when i download ksp and play sandbox mode my parachutes slow me down but when i play career mode my parachutes don't fully deploy and don't slow me down and then it stops working in science mode and stop working in sandbox mode but none of this happen until i play career mode. i'll tell you what happen. #1 parachutes don't slow me down. #2 no matter how long i wait they don't full deploy. #3 i stop playing the game because my spacecraft crash into the ground. #4 does this happens to anyone else. #5 i'm playing on windows vista 32bit. #6 does anyone know how to fix this?

Next, download ksp 1.12 from another website (I used steamunlocked)
then navigate to (KSP 1.12 Folder) > GameData > Squad > Localization and then copy or cut the "dictionary.cfg" and put in to The same location but in the ksp that you download from here (ksp 1.12.1) and replace it
And then navigate to (KSP 1.12 Folder) > GameData > SquadExpansion > Localization and then do the same thing, copy or cut dictionary.cfg and put it into the same location in the 1.12.1 folder.
(KSP 1.12 Folder) should be the one download from another website (i used steamunlocked)
(KSP 1.12.1) Should be the ksp downloaded from this website (igg games)

This does not translate the Serenity DLC, only the base game.
In the install directory there is a file called "buildID64.txt" that has a language option, but changing it seems to cause it to error as though it can't find any other language files.
I don't know how to change it in french plz =)

Despite the fact that these aren't viruses, if IGG Games was putting viruses in their games, I would immediately stop using IGG Games.
Aside from that, if Windows Defender did recognise http://LqdEnginePoodle_v2.mu as a virus or such, then head into Windows Defender and allow http://LqdEnginePoodle_v2.mu.

Edit: I tried downloading the base game. It now works.
Its now a all in one download, so you dont need to fiddle with updates anymore. Though the post currently still offers the old update files, these can be ignored when downloading.
And a Unity Engine tip, ad "-popupwindow" at the shortcut executing and it will start in Borderless ;)

Edit: For better fps right click ksp.exe go to properties then compatibility & check box for disable full screen optimizations. Then go to change DPI settings & check box override high DPI scaling then apply. this tip helps for stuttering.

1- Turn off any antivirus that might be running to avoid game file corruption, all games on igg-games are 100% virus free
2- First install the original game (Not the update), set up the game and make sure you know where you downloaded it (Example: C:\Games\Kerbal Space Program)
3- Download the update
4- Install the update where you downloaded your game (C:\Games\Kerbal Space Program)
5- Open your game with admin permissions (Right click game application, then click "Run as administrator)
6- Enjoy! And if you get FPS drops make sure to lower your graphics, if FPS drops and lag spikes still occur then make sure to check the minimum requirements for KSP and upgrade your PC Specifications to be able to play the game smoothly.

Also nublet, rather than just relying on ckan, go ahead and follow the link that ckan has for each mod. Most of the authors consider ckan low priority and they release latest versions on their own github first.
Also, just because ckan won't automatically unzip the file for you, it doesn't mean it's not compatible.
I use probably 60 mods that were made for previous versions of ksp on the latest one. It's not like version disparity means it won't work. It all depends on the specific patch and if the devs changed vital filestructure.
So just go ahead and install the mods you want, they should work fine.
There is only ONE mod that you MUST have a matching version for and that's Kopernicus, the mod that's a prereq if you want to install player made additional planets or stars.
Although, I got to admit... ever since hitting ver-1.1.3, I've been reluctant enough to update my game, mostly due to my self-made MOD featuring 200+ new parts to all categories, not to mention that I've to write DLL-Plugins all over again...
At that time, I used nearly 10 older MODs, notably the 'B9 Aerospace Pack'... and it works [except for landing gears], even if I didn't even fiddled anything in it...
I wonder, what would happen if I just throw everything in without updating the plugin to ver-1.6.1...

you would have to go and edit the .version files per mod to trick them into running with 1.5 and they very rarely have compatibility issues or outright do not even run, but hey, we're pirating, not like we have much room to complain :P

What's the problem?
I think it's because larger files are monitored more closely and/or because downloading large files from unstable and slow hosters is terrible. Also the upload size limit you have on some platforms doesn't help.
And the password is so that no one simply copies these files and hosts them as their own. (Kinda ironic)

Are you editing the file inside the compressed file? Because you cannot do that. Make sure you are editing the extracted game files not the one one downloaded from here

This is because your computer was lazy and didn't copy it all because it figured load the page when you read there. That's why you get autoLOC on a loot of things. At the bottom of the .cfg I noticed the code looked unfinished. That's why this happens and how I found the solution.

In \GameData\Squad\Localization inside the KSP folder, there should be a file called dictionary.cfg. Replace that file with the one from here:

After you do that, find the files BuildID.txt and BuildID64.txt. Inside both those files, there should be a line saying 'prerelease
language = ru'. Change that to en-us to turn it into english.

sadly my old pc got recycled and now I shitty low end of the spectrum pc specs. it turns out I can run alot of triple x games just with low specs patches.

Kerbal Space Program 1.3 is obviously attracting many people due to the promise of localization. Use the damned alternatives, that's why they are there. They work, and are virus free, trust me I use them all the time, they wouldn't be there if they did have virus's. If you are worried about download speed, I do not know how or why you worry, just wait, and you will have your game. If you have a horrible download speed (I do not, I have a d/s of 50m/s), then it might take some time, but the other links DO WORK and they DO NOT have virus's, so stop complaining. seriously.

i can't build muscle car stock because wheel keeps blocking in 1.1, last time i use 1.0.5 wheel wont broke while physical timewarp 4x but 1.1 keep broke damn tires using fat rover wheel maybe 1.1.1 fix it or 1.1.2? i don't know

yea, as I said yesterday, 1.1.1 update kinda sucked. 1.1.2 is the 'proper' patch, and it apparently fixes most all the issues that 1.1 brought along.
1.1.1 was suppost to fix 1.1, but, the hotfix didn't fix much.. (wheels in particular) thus the need for 1.1.2 which, according to the official Kerbal forums, fixes most everything about wheels/struts, along with a bunch of other issues.

Pre-release build 1209 broke all 1.1 mods that deal with part mass (i.e. delta-v predictors like KER or MechJeb, part mass and volume manipulators like Interstellar, TweakScale, all procedural parts mods etc.). So every update to any of those mods from this point on will be unplayable with this outdated release.
Please update the download to 1209, or even better, the current build 1224.

where would you extract part 2 to ?
Nvm Thats 1.1.2
1.1.1 was suppost to fix 1.1, but, the hotfix didn't fix much.. (wheels in particular) thus the need for 1.1.2 which, according to the official Kerbal forums, fixes most everything about wheels/struts, along with a bunch of other issues.

Prolly best to wait till then as I've heard the 1.1.1 patch needs fixing of its own.
Please update the download to 1209, or even better, the current build 1224.

#1 parachutes don't slow me down.
#2 no matter how long i wait they don't full deploy.
#3 i stop playing the game because my spacecraft crash into the ground.
#4 does this happens to anyone else.
