Hey, I have installed the game and the additional files such as .NET and DirectX. I have also pasted the files from Game Error Fixer zip file from Google Drive given in a comment below. Yet, whenever I try to launch the game, I get the error: The Launcher cannot query DirectX. Please update DirectX by installing the latest redistributable. I have the latest version of DirectX already installed. What should I do? Kindly help me out.

When I open this game it always change my TV refresh rate to 24Htz then I have to go to options and fix the resolution, it's so annoying does anyone knows how to fix it?
rockstar keeps updating its now 2.0.1, preventing to launch. Is there a newer version? I believe its affecting all the games GTAV, Max Payne 3 .etc i was playing Max P 3 and after about a hour started getting errors of saving. After i restarted game that's when the launcher said new version needed to run.

idk wtf goin on i download everything working installled 100% worked out how to patch with lanupdater etc says launch game click says rockstar games LA NOIRE in a black box etc then suddenly stops and says cant start wtf???!!! i also copied al prophet files into main folder (this is correct?) tried launching all applications including prophet launch icon and always get same message= The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142) whhhhhyyyyy????!!!!!!! Do you have a subscription to any virus software? If so check your quarantine list, it may have considered one of the crack files to be a security risk to the system you're running. To fix this you're going to have to turn real time scanning off while executing the L.A. Noire Complete Edition shortcut or just find the crack file which would be found in your quarantine, restore, then add to real-time scanning exclusion list. if you would like to know more about Real-time scanning I would suggest searching on google for more info. also, be sure to turn you Real-time back on if you decide to try the first method.
i added all 3 exes to exclusion list and also when trying to launch game i get this message - The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142) wtf?

if thats the only error then go to the "3rd" folder in your LA Noire Installation folder and look for Social Club Setup and install it. I fixed it this way.

If u guys got Error 0xc0000142 then I have a solution : Step 1: Before u crack game by folder Prophet , copy all files inside it except file Steam_api.dll . Step 2: Paste them into your game folder where u have installed this game . Step 3: Now u can enter the game and pray it won't crash . Hope this useful
When I was copying the crack, it tells me that I must have permissions from Everyone to copy the dll files into the main folder. Anyone have a solution for this?
I struggled with that all day its your antivirus reading it as a virus and denying i went as far as doing reg edit things to fix it... simply had to add an exception to my antivirus

download all 3, then what i do is open all 3 and then extract 1. It seems every time i extract one it extracts all 3 into the folder properly. You then boot up the iso file with daemon tools lite, if you dont have it download it. it will ask you if you want to run setup, say yes and download it as shown. after downloading go into your, "this pc" folder, or whatever folder holds your drives and you'll see L.A. Noire there, right click it and click open, open prophet, copy everything from prophet into where you installed the game to. You should be able to launch it then but this game is having some problems with a 0x0000142 error

you have to update your drivers,game works fine. Download latest Directx,vc redist both for 32 bit(x86) and x64.. even if you have 64 bit pc you would still need x86 vc redist this might fix the error

Downloaded, cracked and mounted all files, downloaded direct X, installed social club but when i click launch game from the menu it brings up, it shows a screen as if its about to launch and then just stops and thats as far as it gets, anyone be able to suggest something to help

disk two was also in the rar files you downloaded. I don't remember quite well, but you have to check both the first and last rar part of the game to see how many disks it has. Extract those and you have everything you need. Now with daemon tools you run both of them, install the game, install social club and install the patch which supposedly is in the game directory and lastly, pull out the skidrow crack for the game from the second disk. You know, when you mount iso files with daemon tools, you can either auto-run it (double-click) to trigger the setup the iso is bound to, or you can just open it, right click > open. There are the cracks I spoke of

I'm sorry I didnt explain it right, when i start the game it does the loading screens, it makes me login to social club i do so and then it says i have a corrupt license and i cant do anything after that, which makes me think that i didnt crack the game correctly
Thats one of the problems i tried and i dont think i can do that with my antivirus, and i think i cracked the game i moved the them from the crack folder its called prophet and moved them and moved to the folder that says manual inside the game
i dont have a second disk, i have one disk to install the game, which with the instalation gavem me the games folder, in that disk i have the cracks, i moved those into the games folder supposedly cracking the game

Wanting to play this game, but my Windows Defender says the social.dll is a virus. It might or might not be true per say, well pirated games aren't the safest thing in the world. Wondering... Is there a 'safier' crack version anywhere to grab? I've googled, but the majority is the exactly the same crack and others with different names are still the same... Thinking about giving up of this game.
The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code malware! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a virus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)

Cant find the patch folder. in the rar files there is an iso with I mounted and looked for a patch but found nothing. the "ypatcher.exe" doesn't work either.

sorted in end bro the "patch" file was called prophet folder and i just copied and pasted contents into game directory, worked a charm didnt need to redownload 3 times like i did. first would have been fine. cheers bro
There's no "patch folder"? I mounted the ISO that was created once I extracted all of the RARs, and the game is in my Program Files folder, but it doesn't do anything when I launch it. When i launch the launcher, it brings up the patcher and crashes.
Yeah, I found where the patch folder is. I opened the files on the disc instead of running it like a moron. Eventually I gave up, however, when it started giving me errors while installing, and now any games that use XNA Framework won't launch on my computer so I'm trying to get that fixed. I'm not saying that it was installing this that did it, but it was working perfectly fine before doing so.
weird. The downside of PC gaming eh. Anyway, if you don't want to diehard play this game, and instead just wanted to check it out, it's not worth the struggle and time and size. It's cool, but remains for genre fans after all.
i open and it says i have problem with license key when i click create a social club account after i click create an offline profile. wheres the patch folder i have a patcher .exe file no patch folder tried clicking that but that doesnt work
Idk what I am doing. I installed it, moved the cracked folder items into the games folder directory and I have reinstalled social club twice now. And it says i need to reinstall because im missing a dll file.
You probably did it wrong. Are you sure you ruled out both .exes as I stated? And very important as well, did you patch the game and social club?? You better uninstall all and do it exactly how I did.
yes, i have patch it and crack it first from the other folder then i have seen that skidrow crack and done it again with that crack, added two rules for lanlauncer and l.a. noire, but when i start the game, it's still ask for that activation code, i will try to download the game again and install, i hope that will help
