Wow so far so good! I'm 15 minutes in with no crash. Thanks so much!
I'm maybe SLIGHTLY above average on my tech literacy. So just to clarify your instructions for others:
(I used Notepad++ to edit the files, not sure if that is necessary)
Open the RealmsofMagic.bat file
Replace the "Windows64" text with the exact location of your game folder. For example when you extract this file from igg-games it puts it within like 3 layers of Realms of Magic/Realms of Magic/Realms of Magic folders. I took the game files out and put them in a C:/RealmsofMagic folder, and copy/pasted "C:/RealmsofMagic" where it said Windows64.
What are you guys talking about, 1.0? https://i.imgur.com/qR7qp0t.png You literally cannot have a "1.0 beta" that's not how versions work. 1.0 is a release version, not a beta.
Guys, please go in the comment section and ask for the update to 1.0 Beta! You can ask once every 24 hours. The more we are, the more likely it's going to happen. Thanks to everyone who does it, much appreciated.
Anyone know of a fix?
Change Windows64\ to your game directory
Then Run the game from VBScript
(Bat Example)
set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000
E:\ROM\RealmsOfMagic.exe
(VBScript Example)
Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
WshShell.Run chr(34) & "E:\ROM\RealmsOfMagic.bat" & Chr(34), 0
Set WshShell = Nothing
thanks
