I open the game and get the administrator box thingy and press yes but then nothing happens??? even if i open the game again? and its nowhere on task manager... any help?

I could use some help, my game crashes after 10-15 of complete inactivity, it happens in this order:
leave the game running without doing anything
10-15 minutes later your computer goes into screensaver mode (even if you have screensaver completely disabled)
when you come back to continue playing your whole screen will be black but the music will still continue playing
try and end it with task manager and Windows will pop a message saying that the game crashed. Tried fixing it by changing resolutions. Nothing changed. Used borderless and even windowed mode, nothing changed. Updated my drivers, nothing changed. At this point I am desperate for some help to resolve this issue.
the game works perfectly beside the Extra menu on title screen only show 2 menus, the other 2 still locked with ????? signs. and i've already finished the main story. any fix?
Game freezes at Chapter 7, during the opening cutscene. I've tried with a fresh installation and run into the same problem, I think a movie is missing from the game folder, but I'd need to see a screenshot of the folder from someone who's managed to play past that point in order to confirm.

I got my controller running by using x360ce. Just download the 32-bit version (Google it) and place it in the game's install directory, run it and click "Auto" to have it set it up the controller to be recognized by the game, re-bind your controller buttons as necessary, then go to the "Game Settings" tab, add Tokyo Xanadu's .exe to the list and mark the boxes next to the 32-bit version of XInput v9.1 and v1.1. After that go back to the "Controller 1" tab, click "save" and close the program, next time you run the game you'll hear a little notification sound that'll let you know x360ce is running. If you don't hear the sound then you probably did something wrong.

You can probably play it at the worst graphics settings, but you will have a hard time enjoying the game because of low-spec AMD hardware, which make the game run very slowly/bad. If you have a desktop with PCI-E x16 (check motherboard model) and it have good processor and RAM, then just buy a GPU (GeForce GTX 1050Ti, best deal for mid range at ~$150) and put it in desktop. Will then run okay
Make sure to tick (or in layman's term, check) the box that says "Copy contents from CODEX directory to installdir" before installing it. Well, since you have already installed it, all you have to do is navigate the game's installer and open the CODEX folder that is in it and copy ALL the contents inside then paste them on Tokyo Xanadu's destination folder
I dunno, it played just fine for me. No freezing, crashing or anything o.o Is it always in a specific part or is it just random? Could try a redownload and reinstall in case something was corrupted and install it in a special folder and add it to your AV software's exceptions list.
I didn't face any issue there I finished all the original story and started the ex+... maybe your save file got corrupted somehow try loading another one hopefully it will work
Yes i tried that but still not working. I load the save file from chapter 6 and played until chapter 7 still the same. Right now im just playing trails of cold steel. hahaha

Been a while since I checked this page x -x You could try to install the contents of the "_CommonRedist" folder (DirectX and BOTH versions of Vcredist), running the game from the .exe directly (Not the shortcut) with it running in Windows 7 compatibility mode, and reinstalling the game to a folder outside of Program Files (i.e. C:\Games) while keeping that folder and all of its contents on your antivirus software's exceptions list in order to keep it from altering or deleting any files it thinks may be harmful. Additionally, you could try editing Tokyo Xanadu.ini to lower the game's resolution or set it to windowed mode or fullscreen, depending on whichever is active by default. Some people had issues with the game crashing due to their monitors not supporting the resolution the game tried to launch at first or it just being finnicky with fullscreen so changing that might help (and you can just change it in-game later). If you've already tried this and nothing seems to help, please post your PC specs. Maybe knowing what kind of hardware you're working with can help determine the cause for your issues.
Thanks for the reply :).. i already installed both version of the vcredist.. and yeah i run the game with windows 7 compatibility mode but it didn't fix the problem. i already predicted that this game will not run because of this pc spec. Intel core i5-2450M 2.5Ghz Intel HD Graphics 3000 4Gb Ram but others said that even a low spec pc can run this game well so i decided to at least try it and see for myself and as i expected, the game didn't run.. the problem must be the pc itself not the game Im pretty sure it was the graphics driver that causing the problem Anyways Thank you again for the reply i really appreciate your help guess i need to buy a new pc with better Specs ahaha XD
Yeah, an HD 3000 is probably too weak for this game. I actually believe another user was having a similar issue and it turned out their HD 4000 couldn't handle the game, either. The weird thing here is that I'm genuinely shocked you can run Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force, especially if you have anywhere above 30 FPS. That's not the best optimized game (alongside Megadimension Neptunia VII) and it really calls for a powerful GPU to get good framerate, unless it's more CPU-dependent than I initially thought. If you can play Nights of Azure at all then I'll also be shocked since that's pretty GPU-intensive, as is basically every Koei title ever. (And with ridiculously high requirements for no good reason, either! Well, except for Blue Reflection.) Out of curiosity, you wouldn't happen to have two onboard GPUs, would you? Some laptops come with a graphics chipset built into the motherboard AND another built into the CPU, disabling one or the other might help at least get the game to run.
no i don't have two onboard GPUs. i don't know how those games run in this PC.. I mean i played games like Dynasty Warriors 8 Extreme legends and Even Devil may cry 4 Special Edition.. and it runs within 30-40fps. for dyanasty warriors.. if im not mistaken i can play this with 30-40 fps with the lowest overall quality possible. Same for the devil may cry. I think this Laptop is a Cpu dependant like you said. oh! and about that hyperdimension Neptunia! i have a game like that (Hyperdimension Neptunia U action Unleashed) I can run at it at 50-60fps. Lucky me :) before i forgot, can i ask if it is possible to install another graphics card in my laptop, or replace my integrated graphics card into a dedicated one? thanks XD
Hyperdimension Neptunia U is on an entirely different engine and it really isn't too demanding, especially compared to Megadimension Neptunia VII. As for your question, I actually have no idea! I don't use laptops but I don't think you can add parts onto them like you can with a desktop PC simply because their motherboards don't have the slots for them, or the space for that matter. Desktop PCs are just flat out better for gaming because of this, among other things.

yeah. still waiting for the solution.. anyways did you copy the files on the "CODEX" folder in your game directory? if not, why don't you try doing it. also try installing the files in "CommonRedist" folder.. it's on the game directory.
Does that mean you have two different integrated graphics chipsets? If you do, try disabling one or the other using Windows' device manager, it might help at least get the game running.
Well I have found some solution to this, after some general research, the GPU itself is my problem since I have an AMD HD 6300M Series one which is... apparently a lower GPU than GTX 650... I am considering buying a new GPU though I have absolutely no idea how to actually install it on my laptop.. but that is one solution I found... maybe your GPU itself is too weak for the game.
I know i'm a bit late but I don't think it's possible to get a dedicated GPU for a laptop since they're not really made for games to begin with. I can also run the game at max settings with a 2GB Nvdia GeForce GT 730 MSI, which is also pretty weak compared to a GTX 650, riding off a simple 3.70GHz i3 4360 and 8GB RAM. Maybe you could compare your GPU to that or get something around that level if you just want something to run this particular game, the 730 is probably really cheap compared to stronger cards, too, though it's by no means particularly powerful.
I'M on chapter 7 now. After defeating the boss and following the storyline until free time it freezes and does not respond anymore. NEED HELP PLS I WANT TO FINISH THE GAME!
So I've been playing this game and it's been working fine until now. I made it up to just after the intermission side story, the main story continues and the first scene plays but when it reaches a loading screen it just doesn't load anything and i'm just left with a black screen... i'm still able to move my cursor but that's about it. Does anyone know what's happening and any fix?

If you're redirected to steam whenever you try to launch the game, you didn't install the crack correctly. The crack can be found inside the "CODEX" folder located within the game's .iso file. Simply copy the contents of the "CODEX" folder to your game's install directory and replace the files as necessary. Additionally, every CODEX release comes with a custom installer that has the option to mark a checkbox labeled "Copy contents of CODEX folder to installdir", if you mark this, the installer will automatically copy the crack to the right place for you.
As Ivan suggested, try installing the Microsoft Visual C++ and DirectX versions included with the game. You can install DirectX by running "DXSETUP.exe" found in "Tokyo Xanadu eX_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010" And Microsoft Visual C++ by running both vcredist_x64.exe and vcredist_x86.exe found in Tokyo Xanadu eX_CommonRedist\vcredist\2012

I don't use a laptop myself, but according to what I've found the Acer Aspire v5 has an onboard Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU which just might not be supported by the game (And according to a few sites, it's actually worse than my own 2GB GT 730 MSI). From what I've read, the people experiencing crashes with the game asides from those who fixed them with the _CommonRedist files all use onboard graphics, primarily laptops, so the game might not fully support them. That said, it might be something else and not necessarily that the game doesn't support onboard GPUs, I was unable to find any mention of the game crashing that wasn't fixed with the redist files, though, so it might be a possibility... Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I've been playing for a few hours and I haven't experienced any crashes at all, If your specs exceed the game's requirements then I'd recommend you run the DirectX and Microsoft Visual C++ setups found in the two folders located in Tokyo Xanadu eX_CommonRedist if you haven't yet as that fixes the crashing for some people. If you're still crashing after that then... I dunno. Might be a hardware issue?

If anyone's having trouble with their controller or gamepad, set the in-game settings to mouse+keyboard, then close the game and use x360ce (32-bit) to set up your controller instead. Once the button bindings are correct, go to the "Game Settings" tab, click on "Add...", select TokyoXanadu.exe to have it appear on the list, then select it and under the Xinput Files section on the right-hand menu mark the boxes for the 32-bit versions of Xinput v1.1 and v9.1. Make sure nothing else is marked but those two options. Then go back to the Controller 1 tab, hit "save" and launch the game. If you hear a beep using your Windows Notification sound when you launch the game, then everything is working properly. Just note, though, that you must re-bind your gamepad's buttons AND analog sticks even if they seem to work fine off the bat on x360ce's virtual controller.
Your game was using your integrated gpu, which is probably intel HD. Try adding your game into nvidia control panel and select "preferred maximum performance"
I'm running a 2GB Nvidia GT 730 MSI and get solid 60FPS roughly 95% of the time, when it dips it just dips to around 57-59. Haven't really seen any of the slow motion movement you mentioned. Playing on borderless windowed at my monitor's native resolution.

I'm having a problem regarding the right analog stick as it cannot be moved to left and right which makes me unable to rotate the camera in-game. Did anyone experience the same problem and is there any way to fix this? I'm using a dualshock controller. Any help will be appreciated.
I don't use a gamepad myself but a friend who does didn't experience any issues with his 360 controller. You could try using x360ce and see if you can get it working properly through that, seems to work better than native gamepad support for most games for some reason.
Tried using x360ce but still doesn't work. I think it has to do with the TokyoXanadu.ini as the game recognize my right analog stick as right and left trigger inside the game although I'm not sure how to fix it.
I'm not sure... if you can find the controller settings in the .ini you could try manually changing them and then setting the ini to read-only mode, but that's just an uneducated guess. I think it works fine with mouse+keyboard and the people I know who use a gamepad didn't have any issues so I don't think I'll be of much help. Sorry > .<
Well I pretty much gave up on the issue and instead using the reset camera button to adjust the camera (it's uncomfortable but its not like I have any other choice lol). Turns out pretty well although it becomes hard in battles (as I need to press the reset camera button in addition to attacking the enemies) but practice makes perfect I guess? I've never really had any need to disable my own AV software, though that's probably because I run Spybot and Malwarebytes and basically nothing else xD I remember a big mess over on the AC4 Black Flag page regarding antivirus programs flagging the crack as a trojan, though, so that's why I tend to mention it as a basic troubleshooting step just to eliminate that possibility right off the bat. This whole white screen crash is quite weird, though. I can't find anything on Steam regarding this issue so it's possible it might be isolated to this cracked version?
antivirus never needs disabled. However, for cracked games, over 90% of them have files flagged as trojans. It is best to put all the cracked games you have in one folder and add that folder to your AV program's exceptions list, if you have an AV program. As for the white screen issue, it is usually caused by either not having DirectX and the proper Visual C++ runtimes installed. The Visual C++ runtimes can also randomly get corrupted an a reinstall fixes the issues. The game should have a _commonredist folder with both directx and vcredist in them. Install or re-install them and the game should work.
It's pretty obvious that you should never permanently disable your AV software, but you'd be surprised at how many people have no idea how to set up exceptions... It's just a faster way to troubleshoot and see if it's an AV issue or something else. I'll probably switch to recommending people just have a dedicated "Games" folder instead, I do that myself and I guess it makes more sense. The white screen issue is also making a bit more sense now. I didn't have that issue myself since I've long since installed damn near every DirectX and Visual C++ version included in most games but I guess those bringing it up here may not have them installed. Steam automatically installs them for you so that's probably why I found nothing over there. Thanks for the info on this, now I know what to tell people that post about this issue in the future o/
Hi, i would really much appreciate someones help please as i really do want to play this game, my problem is as follows........ I've downloaded it multiple times from different sources but all i get everything is dl files missing! Now i know you shouldn't download them else but i have and i still can not even get the game to load at all in anything, not even the main menu. I've reinstalled multiple times and it is the same problem. I dunno what to do as others ain't had this problem so why me...... i got it working wahey!!! heres what i did...... find it in local disk c or were your root folder is, click on commonredist, then click on vcredist,then 2012 and install either one of the following two options. worked for me let us know if it worked for you please pal. enjoy

Can't seem to get the game working. When the game starts, I get an error saying the file X3DAudio1_7.dll cannot be found. I tried installing the .dll file, which just replaced that error with another one. Downloaded the game from the torrent, though I don't think it is the cause of the problem. Am I the only one in this case ?
Update directx AND install directx end-user runtimes (june 2010) edition. Google it And don't don't EVER download/install .dll file you get from any sites you find on internet. .dll is a unique library file and it's never meant to be copy-pasted in your game folder, app or system folder. You will end up with nasty viruses, system fails, BSOD, etc
Downloaded from Google Drive, game installed and ran without any issues. Much to my surprise, although the game claims to need a GTX 650 as the minimum I'm getting a solid 60 FPS running this on a stock 2GB GT 730 MSI. I haven't done much playing asides from just the start of the game due to me having a backlog of games that I want to go through but I had zero issues in the ~three hours I spent messing around. As for the game itself, it really seems to be a mix that reminds me to Trails of Cold Steel mixed with the Persona series. I don't really know enough to form a solid opinion but so far I like it, seems pretty interesting! Also, yes, this is the English version but it defaults to English text and the original Japanese character voices with no dub as far as I've been able to find. Still, the vast majority of people prefer the original voices over dubs in games like these so I guess that's a plus for most people. Thanks for the upload!
There isn't really much of a difference for gaming with a 730 versus a 650, so it is pretty normal to not have isues if a 650 is needed, but you only have a 730, which is a newer gen NVIDIA series than the 650. The game does also only have the Japanese dub, since Aksys never dubbed it, even when it was released on Vita earlier this year.

My graphics card is intel HD-something Although i experience little lag in the moonlit garden scene And i wonder why i can run Mortal Kombat XL faster with better FPS than this game, is it seriously more demanding? PS: I think you tottally misunderstood ragna as he is saying there is not much difference playing this game with those two (and kao says so in evidence). Also, the way he said it "But you ONLY have a 730", the "ONLY" implies he knows it is less powerful.

Okay, I keep getting mixed answers regarding comparisons between my GT 730 MSI and the GTX series. Some people and sites claim that my GT 730 is comparable to a GTX 460 while others claim it's somewhere in between the 400 series and the 600 series. I just don't know what to think anymore but hey, it runs so yay.
yes you can but beware it will affect your menu navigation as well!... you can change it from the start menu then setting or options look around there and you will find it.
Tried it myself, game runs perfectly fine. Assuming your PC meets the requirements, I'd recommend you reinstall the game and possibly disable your antivirus software just in case something got corrupted somewhere.
I have just started playing it. the story and character development looks very similar to trails of games witch is lovely... but the combat system is that of ys games unfortunately.
When I try to run the game it shows me a white screen then it crashes immediately. I installed it with my anti-virus off, applied crack, and run as admin at run with compatibility; yet it still crashes on me. Can anyone help? :(
It's a running joke that if a game has an anime artstyle it most likely has hentai or at the very least ecchi content in it. That's all it is, a joke, so don't take it seriously.

I got my generic controller to work by editing the "LegacyInput=0" to 1 on the "TokyoXanadu.ini" file But the right analog stick's left and right doesn't work
I'm using a ps3 controller and the SCP toolkit. It's the rare game that WONT run (usually ones that favor xbox controllers). Havent installed it yet, but if you have a ps2 or ps3 controller, you can use the SCP toolkit and you're good to go.
there were no problems, after about an hour of playing 100% of the video card load. With other games there are no problems, but in this, that's such nonsense.
Wtf? why this game have date, time, event, status like persona? It have brave, kind, etc. in the character profile. Able to increase each area for better result. And what is up with the school??? IT is so close to be persona but with different setting. Another world. Super power ability...... WOW almost the same setup without the persona.
"Persona clones" have been somewhat rare but existent for a while now. Blue Reflection is often compared to a Persona game, I haven't heard much about this one so I dunno if it's good or how far the comparisons go, though. BR at least kind of wanders away from Persona games through how the game itself develops. There's also another game... Mind=Zero or something like that which is also very similar to Persona, though that one is...iffy at best.

at first i thought that it was like persona, then i got into the combat and i was like " wow this is like ys," to me it feels like a combination of persona and ys which i flippin love.
lol, 1080p has nothing to do with the size of a game. It's just the resolution in which the game is being rendered. And for a ps vita game, the size is not unbelievable. It's just a 1:1 Port, with some tweaks like the possibility of playing with 60 fps, etc. The 2 GB difference is also just there, because this is the eX+ Version with some additional content.

Additionally, you could try editing Tokyo Xanadu.ini to lower the game's resolution or set it to windowed mode or fullscreen, depending on whichever is active by default. Some people had issues with the game crashing due to their monitors not supporting the resolution the game tried to launch at first or it just being finnicky with fullscreen so changing that might help (and you can just change it in-game later).
If you've already tried this and nothing seems to help, please post your PC specs. Maybe knowing what kind of hardware you're working with can help determine the cause for your issues.
and yeah i run the game with windows 7 compatibility mode but it didn't fix the problem. i already predicted that this game will not run because of this pc spec.

The weird thing here is that I'm genuinely shocked you can run Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force, especially if you have anywhere above 30 FPS. That's not the best optimized game (alongside Megadimension Neptunia VII) and it really calls for a powerful GPU to get good framerate, unless it's more CPU-dependent than I initially thought.
If you can play Nights of Azure at all then I'll also be shocked since that's pretty GPU-intensive, as is basically every Koei title ever. (And with ridiculously high requirements for no good reason, either! Well, except for Blue Reflection.)
Out of curiosity, you wouldn't happen to have two onboard GPUs, would you? Some laptops come with a graphics chipset built into the motherboard AND another built into the CPU, disabling one or the other might help at least get the game to run.
I think this Laptop is a Cpu dependant like you said.

As for your question, I actually have no idea! I don't use laptops but I don't think you can add parts onto them like you can with a desktop PC simply because their motherboards don't have the slots for them, or the space for that matter. Desktop PCs are just flat out better for gaming because of this, among other things.

I can also run the game at max settings with a 2GB Nvdia GeForce GT 730 MSI, which is also pretty weak compared to a GTX 650, riding off a simple 3.70GHz i3 4360 and 8GB RAM. Maybe you could compare your GPU to that or get something around that level if you just want something to run this particular game, the 730 is probably really cheap compared to stronger cards, too, though it's by no means particularly powerful.
The crack can be found inside the "CODEX" folder located within the game's .iso file. Simply copy the contents of the "CODEX" folder to your game's install directory and replace the files as necessary.
Additionally, every CODEX release comes with a custom installer that has the option to mark a checkbox labeled "Copy contents of CODEX folder to installdir", if you mark this, the installer will automatically copy the crack to the right place for you.
You can install DirectX by running "DXSETUP.exe" found in "Tokyo Xanadu eX_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010"

That said, it might be something else and not necessarily that the game doesn't support onboard GPUs, I was unable to find any mention of the game crashing that wasn't fixed with the redist files, though, so it might be a possibility... Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

If you hear a beep using your Windows Notification sound when you launch the game, then everything is working properly. Just note, though, that you must re-bind your gamepad's buttons AND analog sticks even if they seem to work fine off the bat on x360ce's virtual controller.

I remember a big mess over on the AC4 Black Flag page regarding antivirus programs flagging the crack as a trojan, though, so that's why I tend to mention it as a basic troubleshooting step just to eliminate that possibility right off the bat.
This whole white screen crash is quite weird, though. I can't find anything on Steam regarding this issue so it's possible it might be isolated to this cracked version?
As for the white screen issue, it is usually caused by either not having DirectX and the proper Visual C++ runtimes installed. The Visual C++ runtimes can also randomly get corrupted an a reinstall fixes the issues. The game should have a _commonredist folder with both directx and vcredist in them. Install or re-install them and the game should work.
The white screen issue is also making a bit more sense now. I didn't have that issue myself since I've long since installed damn near every DirectX and Visual C++ version included in most games but I guess those bringing it up here may not have them installed. Steam automatically installs them for you so that's probably why I found nothing over there. Thanks for the info on this, now I know what to tell people that post about this issue in the future o/
I've downloaded it multiple times from different sources but all i get everything is dl files missing! Now i know you shouldn't download them else but i have and i still can not even get the game to load at all in anything, not even the main menu.
I've reinstalled multiple times and it is the same problem.
I dunno what to do as others ain't had this problem so why me......

heres what i did......
find it in local disk c or were your root folder is, click on commonredist, then click on vcredist,then 2012 and install either one of the following two options. worked for me let us know if it worked for you please pal. enjoy
Just for clarification's sake, the files to install are found in the game's install directory, specifically in:
Tokyo Xanadu eX_CommonRedist\vcredist\2012 for Visual C++ Basic and

I tried installing the .dll file, which just replaced that error with another one. Downloaded the game from the torrent, though I don't think it is the cause of the problem.
Am I the only one in this case ?
And don't don't EVER download/install .dll file you get from any sites you find on internet. .dll is a unique library file and it's never meant to be copy-pasted in your game folder, app or system folder. You will end up with nasty viruses, system fails, BSOD, etc

As for the game itself, it really seems to be a mix that reminds me to Trails of Cold Steel mixed with the Persona series. I don't really know enough to form a solid opinion but so far I like it, seems pretty interesting!
Also, yes, this is the English version but it defaults to English text and the original Japanese character voices with no dub as far as I've been able to find. Still, the vast majority of people prefer the original voices over dubs in games like these so I guess that's a plus for most people.
