Ok so, Kinda defeats the point of this whole website but- I bought the game, and downloaded a copy of the game from here to locate the issue- What I found was that:
A multitude of essential files were missing- which are created when the steamapi.dll is activated, and ported to SteamClient64.dll
The origin of these downloads- they were cracked on an insufficent, out-dated or incompatable device, my evidence being that the Steamapi.dll file had been previously activated and the left the output- ' This program cannot run in DOS Mode, indepth explaination here: https://www.computerhope.com/jargon/d/dosmode.html
The location of the files really do matter, it must be both acsessable via the steamclient and the windows32 system Im working on a crack myself, and I would gladly help the igg-games moderation team here-
I am currently still working on a modified file that repairs the files, whilst also patches the system of any missing files, etc. I am close, I managed to get it to start up but it wouldn't play because of a line issue in the SteamClient64.dll which I cannot fix yet, because I do not understand digital local library files. I can, however, say that I am learning this language and will keep you updated, and that when I do complete it, I will send you a link considering the moderation team are the only ones that can upload a game. Long story short- wait a few months and i'll reply to this comment with a link and instructions
This doesn't work at all, when I try to launch the game, it doesn't run at all. Also, I looked through comments saying something about a launcher but there is no launcher in the folder!
I made a request a couple of days ago to update to 1.2. Not sure if they managed to get to it or if it got lost (and forgotten) amidst all other posts.

When I try and launch the game an error comes up saying "Unable to find steam_appid.txt and Appld = 0, please specify a value for Appld in SmartSteamEmu.ini or game will failed to launch." I don't know how to deal with this problem.

The best way to do that is to find your save files, copy them, and move them into the new folder created from this download. My save files are found in C:\Users(Your name)\AppData\Local\Cattails Copy the files there, they are your save files. Then when you download the new version of the game, find that same new folder that was created for Cattails, and put your files back into said folder. This should make your saves appear in the newly updated game. Hope this helps! EDIT:Just a tip, make sure you delete your older cattails folder when you have copied your save files, so that it doesn't get confusing with the new version. After that, you have to run the game FIRST so that it can create a "Cattails" folder in your appdata > local folder. After you run the game for the first time, a folder named "Cattails" will be there... Alternatively if you don't want to run the game first, you can make a folder in Appdata > Local called "Cattails" and place your saves in there ahead of time, it still works.
i got a problem when i try to launch the LAUNCHER_x64 and the game doesn't launch and it creates only a sse-20171208-191442.dmp (the last 6 numbers changes)
Tried several different places and several different downloads. Same result every time. I don't get it. EDIT: Tried the MegaUp one and that file seems to have worked fine.

My save files are found in C:\Users(Your name)\AppData\Local\Cattails
Copy the files there, they are your save files.
Then when you download the new version of the game, find that same new folder that was created for Cattails, and put your files back into said folder. This should make your saves appear in the newly updated game.
