can someone help me. I dowloaded the game with anti virus turned off including windows defender. When I launch the game it opens steam and takes me to the game page on the store. What is the fix for this?
there is no fix i think the ones who did it is already broken i tried everything when i bought this on steam.. but it doesn't work with touch controllers it is very janky
it never will work for oculus man get used to it the devs who made this game only made it work well with htc vive if your gonna play it with oculus touch sorry it just will not cut it.

When I try to open it a blue box pops up and disappears, nothing else happens. Are there crack steps that I am missing? (i just put the folder in my program files folder)

I installed this Doom VFR for my HTC Vive Pro (running Windows 10, intel i7 9700k and Geforce RTX 2080 Ti); graphics loads OK, but there is NO SOUND. Has anyone experienced a similar problem with this release or could it be that maybe I should install some extra sound drivers etc.? Please help.
well, it does work on the vive, just played through it. ran right without any issues after unpacking. for AMD card users on asus motherboards there can be some issues though. Doom does not run on windows 7, it requires windows 10, since its DX12 compliant. It has issues with AMD graphics cards which do not support vulkan, since its activated by default and has to be turned off in its config if you are one of these people. C > USERS> Your name > saved games > id software > doom > base > doomconfig.local open with notepad, look for "renderapi" and make sure it's set to 0 if your card supports Vulkan, try 1 if 0 doesn't work. if you're using an ASUS motherboard there is a known bug wherin sonic studio (sound for mobo) is causing crashing on startup. disable/uninstall it if you use it.

that's what i thought. What a bummer. i heard this game has a lot of bugs right now anyways. but i still wanted to give it a shot. i also already downloaded the game you linked. it has really good graphics and looks amazing. a bit hard sometimes but a really fun game overall.

works very smooth (90fps) if i reduce the window game but i lose the sound and i can't use trigger and button if i open the window, i can see the game on the tv and play normally but i lose video quality and shut down to 40fps i7 4790k gtx 1080 16Go ram
the game start great, but the image on the headset is wrong. Like one eye only. I try the steam vr beta but doestn fix the problem. The game works great but cant see the image in both eyes.
Nah they wont be any protection aside from the regular Steam protection. As their Denuvo had been floating upside down. No point having that crap protection to worsen the performance.,

You're joking right? Megaup is way better. It downloads at full speed with no unreasonable cap, and if you're using a different browser than Chrome lets you download any size file as well. I hope IGG continues to upload that. I stopped using http://Mega.nz thanks to megaup.
I did not know that, now i will use MegaUp, i used mega just because of its MegaSync program; so i could start downloading and if needed pause, without starting over again

In SteamVr setting > general > "SteamVR Home Beta" is already checked...
Do i need a beta code?
Browse to Library > Tools
Search for ‘SteamVR’
Right-click ‘SteamVR’ > Properties
Click ‘Betas’ Tab > Switch beta drop-down selection to ‘beta – SteamVR Beta Update’
Close Properties window, SteamVR Beta will download automatically
