The term "Full Unlocked" refers to game files that have been decrypted and redistributed individually without being locked behind paywalls such as Steam. This does not mean that the game is playable in its current state as DRM protection is still active, it simply means that you can download the game files for free without having to buy it first, as would be the case if you wanted to download this off Steam. The purpose of "Full Unlocked" releases is to let people download the game files so they can later download only the crack files, though if Sonic Forces is any indication it might just be best to hold off and download the game in its entirety once it is cracked. You can find this and more information if you just do some research online.
I bought the game on steam and played it, it works on a 2013 Laptop with Intel hd 4000 graphics with 8 gb ram, it's not perfect but can be played. So gamers with a better config can play it well.

Personally, I wouldn't expect a crack to be released anytime before New Year's, I can see a ton of cracks being released at the start of 2018. That's just me, though. It might also make a nice present for the holidays for some people if it were released sometime this month.

Either it's gonna be a week (unlikely so) or 3 months for the crack to appear. It's better to buy it on steam if you can. If you don't like it or your system can't handle the game, there is always a refund.

To be fair, not everyone has the option to buy the game so waiting for the crack is the only option for some people. Personally, I just have a huge backlog of games I'm going through atm anyway, including Star Ocean 2 for PS2 so I don't mind holding off for a while. I'll probably just get this sometime down the line, I've heard it is pretty fun once you get past the relatively slow start.
I love Star Ocean The Second Story and Second Evolution. Now that you mention it, I should go back and play it again. Plus it gives me something to do while waiting.

Sounds like you just don't bother doing research on the terms used in game piracy to me, especially when said terms are discussed and explained a few comments down this very same page. It isn't even a term used excusively by IGG, it's widely used basically everywhere dealing with game piracy and cracking. If a game is cracked, then it's referred to as cracked. The files for this game are unlocked, meaning they are decrypted and you can download them without having to purchase the game beforehand (i.e. through Steam) so you can simply add in the crack when its released and you can start playing right away. It's how it's always been and anyone who's done this for a while can tell you the same.
For future reference: Never trust videos like this one. Ever. They are never legit. Once a crack is made available, it will be uploaded on this site. Until then, it's best to avoid trying out cracks like this.
I try downloading the crack only link from that youtube link... and it contain 2 files in 47Mb rar files... extraction gives me: StarOceanTheLastHope.exe and steam_api64.dll looks promising... now time to download the game itself and try it... btw i see the storage requirement is 55 GB... and in torrent is 42GB size.. i guess it will take some times for me to download it... my country internet not too fast... maybe other person with better internet connection can try it before me... if when i finish downloading and no one give info about it... i will post my finding... all pray this works though...

Then people would (hopefully) stop complaining. Btw, it would be useful if the short description in the list of games would always mention the genre. Often these descriptions don't contain any useful information. For example: "VoiceActress Free Download PC Game Cracked in Direct Link and Torrent. VoiceActress is relatively common,. VoiceActress PC Game Overview: VoiceActress is developed and published by Dieselmine. It was released in 28 Nov, 2017. \u25a0Game story" We know that they are cracked (or GOG) PC games with free direct download links and torrents. Release dates and developers aren't really of interest either, when trying to find out if they game might be of interest (like I'm always looking for new RPGs and avoiding Visual Novels).

It's a term widely used and accepted by literally every single game piracy website and anyone who's bothered to do some reasearch knows exactly what the term means. Those that complain about it being misleading or making no sense are those who simply don't bother looking this stuff up on their own time. Additionally, if you bothered to read the game's description which you even mention, you'd see that it says twice, in bright, red letters that the game is not cracked yet. The biggest issue is people being too lazy to actually research things themselves instead of being spoon-fed all the time. As for the game descriptions, they are often taken straight from the games' Steam pages, not hand-written by IGG staff (mostly because it's just one person, the site's admin, doing the uploads. The mods mainly keep the comments nice and clean and handle re-upload requests as necessary). Generally speaking, if you're looking for games to play then you really should do the research yourself to see if the game's to your liking, all you have to do is just Google the game's name and you'll get all the information you want. Heck, the screenshots alone are enough to find out if a game's a VN or not, the Neptunia and Fairy Fencer games being the only ones that may be potentially misleading... but again, doing research will give you an answer. And heck, in your example it's BLATANTLY obvious Voice Actress is a Visual Novel from the screenshots alone...

"Full Unlocked" in this sense doesn't mean that something is playable, it means that it's open to be edited by third-party software, such as DLL injectors. That's how cracks are made. Following your analogy, the door is, in fact, open and you can easily see what lies beyond that door, but picking the lock to a door in order to unlock it doesn't mean that now the key you have can open it if the door's locked again, you'd need to re-pick the lock or replace it with a lock matching your key. When the crack is created, it'll be just a matter of placing the crack files, most likely an edited .exe, an additional .dll file containing the actual code to make the crack work and a .ini file, into the game's installdir which would allow you to play the game right away. The purpose of this download is so people can have the game files ready to play right away the moment a working crack is created and released.
Except the files ARE open. Fully unlocked means the download contains the unencrypted and loose files(meaning it doesn't have an installer, the scene groups make one once the crack is finished). Doesn't contain the crack just yet. Think of Full Unlocked as the steam Pre Load
yeah i went and bought it, it looks 10 x better in action than the screenshots suggest it to be. Im pretty impressed how nicely it runs, too. All the horror stories about crashes, not launching, fps issue, resolution issues.. all bogus .
My friend loaned me Star Ocean 3 I think it was for the PS 2 and warned me the intro takes like 10 hours and he wasn't wrong. I never got a chance to get into the game for that very reason. I really hope they make a "amazing" star ocean in the future since it seeems like a cool series.
Sadly the "new" game for the PS4 was lackluster. Also unlike 3 and 4 you can't even skip the majority of the cutscenes. It was reusing loads of assets from the older games and felt lazy and half-arsed.

Steam might need to redownload a few files that may not perfectly match those on Steam, but the download would be significantly smaller. I did this with God Eater Resurrection and Rage Burst and it worked just fine.
Yeah, both GE Resurrection and Rage Burst had Denuvo. I had both games downloaded from IGG and when I got the God Eater bundle on Steam I just began the download for both games so Steam created their respective folders within the steamapps folder, then I cancelled the download, moved the contents of the cracked GE games to their respective folders within steamapps and tried to download them through Steam once again. They had to download a couple extra files (and I made sure to delete the cracked steam_api.dll and .ini beforehand as well as the .exe) but the download was just a couple minutes long as opposed to it taking hours to download the whole game again since Steam recognized the files.

no, full unlocked means those who pre-order the game on Steam (which is pre-download locked prior to launch date) get the game files unlocked in launch date which mean it can be played officially. the reason why is so that the pre-order fellas can get to play the game immediately after launching.
http://Gamestorrent.co is IGG's sister site, both sites have the exact same uploads and are run by the same admin, IGG just handles direct downloads while gamestorrent handles torrent downloads. If a game isn't cracked here, it won't be cracked on gamestorrent and vice versa.

Star Ocean has a small following. Hopefully they do end up removing Denuvo at some point, though. Personally I'd find it hilarious if they did and their sales went up as a result.
It's a small following in places not called Japan. Star Ocean is really only big in Japan. It's sad because the games are so good but people in the west just don't follow games like this very often.

So if your monitor has a high refresh rate the game will run at light speed AND if your sound card has sampling above 48 MHZ the game will simply NOT run. Not to mention do you REALLY want to support Denuvo?
Capping FPS is only an issue if your system cannot reliably hit that cap, in which case the limit wouldn't even be needed to begin with. That said, yeah I do agree this is a terrible port... which is kinda sad seeing how I loved the PS2 Star Ocean and was looking forward to playing this on PC since I have zero interest in buying a PS3.

WELP we're in for a long wait with this one folks. This uses Denuvo 4.7 and 4.7 has yet to be cracked. Maybe now that this game was released the scene groups will work faster/harder or maybe they wont. Bottom line is, this is going to be a long wait. Even if it takes 5-6 months to be cracked , i will wait . i will never support a game using denuvo not even for 5 boxes . The game will also have ton of updates and patches and will be in prefect state when it will be cracked + there is so much tons of other games to play wich are not denuvo . Even games like assassins creed origns or what so ever i dont care waiting even one more year . For one I'm almost certainly older than you kid, and for two I know exactly what Denuvo is. There are several bad reviews and also numerous discussions about the frame rate issues that this game has, I'm not sure why anyone would pay for an overpriced game with poor performance and aggressive DRM that has been shown to damage harware.

Denuvo rewrites small amounts of data repeatedly, which has resulted in some people's drives being worn out. This is a well documented issue that is somewhat common knowledge. Denuvo is known to lower frame rates as well since it rewrites data constantly, which you would know if you knew anything about Denuvo.

Additionally, if you bothered to read the game's description which you even mention, you'd see that it says twice, in bright, red letters that the game is not cracked yet. The biggest issue is people being too lazy to actually research things themselves instead of being spoon-fed all the time.
As for the game descriptions, they are often taken straight from the games' Steam pages, not hand-written by IGG staff (mostly because it's just one person, the site's admin, doing the uploads. The mods mainly keep the comments nice and clean and handle re-upload requests as necessary). Generally speaking, if you're looking for games to play then you really should do the research yourself to see if the game's to your liking, all you have to do is just Google the game's name and you'll get all the information you want. Heck, the screenshots alone are enough to find out if a game's a VN or not, the Neptunia and Fairy Fencer games being the only ones that may be potentially misleading... but again, doing research will give you an answer. And heck, in your example it's BLATANTLY obvious Voice Actress is a Visual Novel from the screenshots alone...

Following your analogy, the door is, in fact, open and you can easily see what lies beyond that door, but picking the lock to a door in order to unlock it doesn't mean that now the key you have can open it if the door's locked again, you'd need to re-pick the lock or replace it with a lock matching your key.
When the crack is created, it'll be just a matter of placing the crack files, most likely an edited .exe, an additional .dll file containing the actual code to make the crack work and a .ini file, into the game's installdir which would allow you to play the game right away. The purpose of this download is so people can have the game files ready to play right away the moment a working crack is created and released.

They had to download a couple extra files (and I made sure to delete the cracked steam_api.dll and .ini beforehand as well as the .exe) but the download was just a couple minutes long as opposed to it taking hours to download the whole game again since Steam recognized the files.

Still, as you mentioned it does seem to mainly be related to VNs and H-games, it's very unlikely to find a game that isn't cracked here while it is cracked on gamestorrent and vice versa. Usually if a game isn't cracked on one site it probably isn't cracked on the other either.

Numerous sources have explained in detail exactly how Denuvo functions. Denuvo needlessly encrypts and decrypts data every few minutes, resulting in the specific spot on your hard drive where the game is stored being rewritten repeatedly, wearing it out far quicker. If you knew anything about how hard drives function, you would understand how this causes damage.

I suppose an easier way to look at it is that the files have been unlocked from programs like Steam that require you to purchase the game prior to letting you download the files so people can download it now and just download the crack separately sometime down the line.
