I have an odd problem... My file has everything there except for the items that should be next to the four folders. It's just 4 folders, and i checked and it has the right amount of GB.
Try using MegaUp, extract the files (took forever for me so be prepared to wait a long time), if you use windows, go into your virus and threat protection setting, click on exclusions, click on add folder, lastly, go to the configuration settings and turn shadows all the way down, right-click on the WOFF application and run as administrator. Double check that your computer meets or exceeds the game's requirements, onboard GPUs will not work most of the time. AMD GPUs also have a lot of issues with this game and there's no workarounds or patches available to fix that. You can open your task manager and check to make sure WOFF.exe is running in the "processes" tab after you try to run the game to see if it's just taking a long time to load or if something might be blocking the game's .exe. Don't install it in Program Files. Instead, make a special folder for games elsewhere and set up exceptions so your antivirus doesn't scan it or potentially block anything in it. Even if you're positive you can run it try lowering all settings to minimum and disabling post-processing and see if it works then. If you have a controller plugged into your PC, unplug it on first launch and see if it runs then. If nothing else works, either wait a prolonged amount of time to see if it runs at all or try a reinstall.
It'd have been faster to just re-download the game at this point... I don't think that just getting the crack files will do you much good if the game doesn't run properly, it's more likely to be a corrupted install, among other potential issues.

Number one rule on PC game piracy: If it takes you to the Steam page, you didn't install the crack properly. The crack can be found inside the CODEX folder located inside the game's .iso file, copy the contents of that folder and replace the relevant files in the game's folder.
Um... You start a new game? The download doesn't come with save data by default. If you mean you're unable to save the game, then please post any error messages you get when you try to save the game. You can also check the game's crack .ini file to get the game's save location and make sure it's not in a read-only folder.
Umm.. i have a problem, this game is running in my lapotp, but it run in a really slow slow motion, you know like the chars talk really slowly, and even the world seems to be in slow. HELP.
Please don't upvote your own comments. Your issue sounds like low FPS. Make sure you turn off post-processing and lower all game settings to their minimum and use a program that displays your frames per second on-screen (use FRAPS if you don't have a better alternative) to check your FPS during gameplay. If your computer cannot reach the game's 30 FPS cap, everything will be in slow motion including character dialogue. Your only option there, assuming you're already running the game with minimum settings, is to upgrade your hardware. There's also a strange bug during the first cutscenes in the game where they drop to 20 FPS and lead to slow motion and character dialogue desync, but this only happens during the cutscenes before your first trip to Grymoire and only happens to a few people.
Since I got this game, it's given me 5 minutes of play time then I keep getting "Not responding" into a close program. Nothing is causing it that I can see. It's just an application error according to Event Manager. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, updated every possible driver, done everything I can find online and it still does it. Is it just me?

Upon starting the game, I am immediately told it has stopped working. When I check more details, it says steam_api64.dll is the part that had an error. I did apply the crack.
If your game is crashing due to steam_api64.dll, it means that something on your computer either edited the crack files or is preventing their use, most likely culprit is your antivirus/anti-malware/etc software tossing a false positive and flagging the crack as malicious or potentially harmful. My recommendation would be to redownload and reinstall the game with your antivirus software temporarily disabled and see if the game runs then. If it does, add an exception to keep it from modifying any files in the game's installdir. As for the CDX files, I'm not 100% sure as to what exactly is it they do but removing them will lead to errors, it's best to leave them in the game's directory.

Out of curiosity, you wouldn't happen to have an AMD GPU, do you? Can't say I've heard of anyone else having this issue... Best thing I could suggest is to do the basic troubleshooting (Re-download and re-install with antivirus disabled, even if it claims it isn't affecting the folder, run the game in windows 7 compatibility if you're running windows 10, run it as admin through right click menu even if you are on an admin account, lower all game settings to minimum and disable post-processing just to see if it runs, unplug any gamepads if you have any connected to your PC). I'm not that good when it comes to dealing with crash dumps so I'm afraid I can't really help out much in this regard. I find it weird that the crack dll would be at fault here if nothing else is altering it, I got the game off this site, as did a few other friends, and it worked fine for us right off the bat... Sorry I can't be of more help, hopefully someone else might have an idea as to what might be the issue. >.<

yeah, i had to use MegaUp eventually. Just slightly inconvenient as MegaUp is not as fast as GDrive or Mega but...you know, one is down and MEga has a download limit for free users...
Check to make sure your PC's not muting the game accidentally and that you haven't turned down the game's audio. without realizing it. If settings are fine, you should try to redownload and reinstall the game. I haven't come across anyone experiencing this issue either here or on Steam so it's most likely an issue on your end. Considering games support nearly every sound card in the market I highly doubt that's an issue... If you have multiple audio output devices you could also check your sound settings to make sure the game is using your default device as well (i.e. using your speakers instead of using headphones that may not be plugged in or in use at the time).
There is no fix or workaround for this bug, unfortunately. Knowing Squeenix's track record, there also will never be. The best thing you can do is to try disabling Post-processing and lowering your settings as well as forcing VSYNC through your GPU's control panel and see if that fixes it, but your mileage may vary. This bug seems to only occur on AMD GPUs and will possibly require an update to be fixed. There's a separate Config file next to the exe file. I had serious lag (Like, 2fps lag) so I went searching for it and found it. Can lower the game resolution, lower shadow resolution, and disable post processing. In case you haven't found it yet.
The game has a number of resolutions it supports, if you forced it to run at a lower resolution than those it'd look like you're playing a GBA game, assuming its even possible. I do wonder what your PC specs are, though. Mine is largely outdated and weak by today's standards and I get a stable 30 FPS most of the time. o.o
AMD GPUs tend to have some rendering issues with this game. You could try disabling post-processing and temporarily lowering your settings to see if that helps, or redownload and reinstall the game to check if it's an issue of a corrupted file somewhere.

The crack is found inside a folder labeled "CODEX" in the game's .iso file. You can also mark the checkbox that reads "Copy contents of CODEX folder to installdir" during installation to easily install the crack as long as you do not install the game to C:\Program Files.
What you're claiming goes against what basically everyone that's tried it has accomplished. The game's render engine simply cannot handle anything above 30 FPS, which is why it's locked at 30 even on consoles... If there were a way to do it, at least Kaldaien would have mentioned something about it by now since he's the go-to person for unofficial game patches. Regardless, it really doesn't matter as the game's perfectly enjoyable at 30FPS and there really isn't much need to play it at 60, if there's no easy way to do it then it's probably just best to leave it at that. Glad it's working well for you, though! I need to finish some other games in my backlog before I can sit down and play this properly, a quick test run gave me no issues so I'm looking forward to a slower, proper playthrough.
This game seems to be missing water texture and some ice texture. Any fix for that ? Im currently at chapter 8 and the water is just not there. Or is there something im missing here ?
Some users of AMD GPUs experience issues with missing water and ice textures as well as part of Shiva's hair (or even her head) missing. From what I gather, it's an issue with the port and there's unfortunately not much that can be done to fix it asides from messing with your options (turn off post-processing) and pray that it works. Will most likely need to be patched.
Exactly the same thing. So i turn on the no encounter at that point after finishing the weight puzzle till i get to save point. and continue normally after that.
So, looked into the 30 FPS lock a bit more and the conclusion I've reached is that the game cannot be forced to run at 60 FPS regardless of Nvidia GPU settings. The game's render engine cannot handle 60 FPS gameplay due to a number of reasons and limitations that cannot be easily altered through mods. Steam user Kaldaien has reached this same conclusion (The same user that made the 60 FPS patch for Tales of Zestiria and FFX, among other unofficial patches). Provided evidence indicates that this MAY be possible for this particular game but it will not be an easy feat a normal user can do on their own. It should be noted that this game was designed to run smoothly at 30 FPS (And it runs at 30 FPS on both PS4 and PS Vita from what I've read) so it's perfectly playable even with the FPS cap in place. If you've already turned down the settings to their minimum (disabled post processing, lowered shadow resolution to the minimum, reduced screen resolution to the minimum supported), then I'm sorry to say that a hardware upgrade is your only option. As long as your system meets the requirements it should just be a matter of messing around with the settings and keep in mind that it is normal for some systems to experience FPS drops at the start of combat. Forcing VSYNC also seems to help a bit with cutscene FPS drops.
Hi there, I just posted a comment addressing the FPS lock if you care to read it. The short version is that there's no easy way to unlock the FPS for the PC port. Any streams that claim it's at 60 FPS are likely referring to the stream output itself rather than the actual game (like how some Youtube videos allow you to see videos in HD at 60 FPS, even if the game itself doesn't run at 60 FPS.)

The port seems to be a bit unstable on some systems, even those that should be strong enough to run the game with no issues. The game works perfectly for me and I've yet to encounter any crashes or issues... At least I can say it doesn't appear to be an issue related to this particular upload.
Doesn't work on all computers. I use modded windows 10 that have all of those disable and still doesn't work that well unless disable certain in-game feature. Disable that feature lower the game quality but improve game performance which cause no crash.
I'm aware that fix doesn't work on all computers, that's why I recommended they tried lowering their display settings via the game's config program and disabling post-processing which seems to be the culprit behind most people's crashing. Hopefully one of the suggestions I provided will help them out.
Hi there, I just posted a comment addressing the FPS lock if you care to read it. The short version is that there's no easy way to unlock the FPS for the PC port, I have no idea what mrlightman was referring to as it is impossible to simply force 60 FPS on this game. Well good luck because I use a custom modded USB PS2 controller so I don't know how to help you. If you know how to re-code it by add a different firmware then you can do it.
Anyone getting crash at saronia docks??? I keep getting crash after random fight. EDIT: I don't know why but disable post-processing fix it but the battle fight too fast....
If the crashing is caused by post-processing, it's likely that your hardware simply cannot keep up with the game's resource usage either because it isn't fully compatible (In which case a driver update might help, though I don't think there's any recent drivers that particularly address this game, at least no NVidia ones) or because it's just not powerful enough and overheats/runs out of memory. As for the fast battles, as previously mentioned make sure you're not fast forwarding through them. I'd recommend you use software that allows you to actively check your FPS and see what framerate the game runs in during combat. Being a port, it's meant to be played at the 30 FPS cap it comes at but some people (even on Steam) experience the game's framerate skyrocketing during combat. If this is the case, simply limiting the framerate through your GPU's control panel should help avoid this issue.
My computer is high end R9 290x on FX 8350. All driver update.... Nothing is fast forward but turning post-processing cause the fast moving battle scene which was weird.
You shouldn't have any issues running it, then. I have no issues asides from random ~5 FPS drops in around 3 cutscenes at the start of the game. I swear this port is weird. >.> I'm assuming you just disabled post-processing for the area causing the crash and then re-enabled it afterwards? Might make for a good workaround in case others are experiencing this issue.
The game has very limited customization as far as options go. I suggest you change the display mode to fullscreen and see if more options appear then. If not, odds are your monitor doesn't properly handle the other resolutions the game can run. It's one of the biggest points of criticism on this game asides from the fact it's locked at 30 FPS, resolution options are very lacking.
Game works fine for me, was playing in full screen but it wont let me alt tab, cntrl+alt+del to bring up task manager doesnt work either the game just comes back up, do i just have to play windowed?
Get a program called borderless gaming. Then run the game windowed and borderless gaming will make it full screen borderless, thus allowing you to switch windows easily
yeah, already on nvidia setting but the strange thing is the game just do fine on exploration and other, only when it got to battle it run really fast .
You can fix it by going to the system config files and edit the setting there. You can disable some of those setting. Have to manual edit the files. Can't do it any other way.
hey i found the solution, it's just me messing with my graphic card setting, try go to your AMD Radeon setting and set Anti-Aliasing Mode to Use Application Settings
Anyone able to play this for a full hour without it crashing after a couple minutes? I'm afraid of it crashing every so often, so I save frequently in case it happens.
Yeah it crashes after a certain amount of time, but it's not due to hardware specs. [Edit] I think this is a solution. Found it through the game steam forum. Another solution is to run SERVICES, and stop the Touch screen typing program: Press Win + R, type 'services.msc', press Enter Find 'Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service', and double tap/click it Click Stop Select 'disabled' at 'Startup type'
Ahh yes, Square Enix attempt to appeal at younger gamers(7-10yo). The combats are simple, characters are chibi-cute, and no confusing story lines. Thanks a lot for the upload! :D
agree but you also get the pokemon vibe from this game. ironically, the pokemon franchise usually targets children but teens and adults enjoyed it much more xD

You DO KNOW you don't have to use the cheats right? FFX-2 also had them, no one forces you to use them. .HACK GU Last Recode also had a cheat mode, again no one forces you to use them
I think it is rare that people do not have a gamepad these day on pc. So much console games coming to pc and are design to be play with gamepad . Personnaly my pc wich is powerful is connect to my home cinema and hd tv in hdmi , gamepad in usb . It is like a console even better . No need of a console anymore for me since all games i really want are always coming on pc, even if there are excluvie on console at the beginning . The rare exception, are few sony games like ( the last guardian , uncharted , last of us , god of war ) and Nintendo games. But i will play them one day on my comp because of emulators . The ps3 emu runs already perfectly as well as wii u emu at full speed for me . Just waiting compatibility to increase in new versions each month, and grabbing the games i want, one by one, as soon as they are perfectly playable ( already 540 games perfectly playable on ps3 emu and it increase quickly) ( about 50-100 new games are playable each month. When i mean playable it is perfectly playable without any issues ) . And with the time , a ps4 emulator will also come .
you can do that, but you need to be aware of the disadvantages that most TVs have high ms picture dilivery. as well as too many links and cables. In competetive this will have a real effect.
There aren't many of us pirates that are concerned with playing competitive mp since it's online. For those that are serious they can, but again, most don't care...65 in 4K and powerful gaming rig are the way to go.

I set the game up in the config thingy it has suddenly my fps counter rockets to 120 for the splash screen then stays stedy at 60fps :) dont know how theres no real setting for it but it looks gorgeous and plays smoother than the ps4 :) (i compared :) )
Locked at 30fps Seems about right coming from Square Enix. Hopefully borderless gaming will be a fix around full screen, and maybe with any luck we will get a 60 FPS mod down the line.

I read it on Crackwatch, they had this game under "Upcoming Denuvo games" But it's not there now so either Denuvo was removed or they were wrong and it never had Denuvo to begin with

Steam user Kaldaien has reached this same conclusion (The same user that made the 60 FPS patch for Tales of Zestiria and FFX, among other unofficial patches). Provided evidence indicates that this MAY be possible for this particular game but it will not be an easy feat a normal user can do on their own.
It should be noted that this game was designed to run smoothly at 30 FPS (And it runs at 30 FPS on both PS4 and PS Vita from what I've read) so it's perfectly playable even with the FPS cap in place.

As long as your system meets the requirements it should just be a matter of messing around with the settings and keep in mind that it is normal for some systems to experience FPS drops at the start of combat. Forcing VSYNC also seems to help a bit with cutscene FPS drops.
JUST ASKING
You could also try disabling post-processing and see if that helps, as well as lowering your display settings temporarily. The port seems to be a bit unstable on some systems, even those that should be strong enough to run the game with no issues.
The game works perfectly for me and I've yet to encounter any crashes or issues... At least I can say it doesn't appear to be an issue related to this particular upload.
Hopefully one of the suggestions I provided will help them out.

As for the fast battles, as previously mentioned make sure you're not fast forwarding through them. I'd recommend you use software that allows you to actively check your FPS and see what framerate the game runs in during combat. Being a port, it's meant to be played at the 30 FPS cap it comes at but some people (even on Steam) experience the game's framerate skyrocketing during combat. If this is the case, simply limiting the framerate through your GPU's control panel should help avoid this issue.
I'm assuming you just disabled post-processing for the area causing the crash and then re-enabled it afterwards? Might make for a good workaround in case others are experiencing this issue.
It's one of the biggest points of criticism on this game asides from the fact it's locked at 30 FPS, resolution options are very lacking.
Must you edit when you have copy the Crack in the Game Folder than open the Steam_emu.ini
I'm afraid of it crashing every so often, so I save frequently in case it happens.
[Edit] I think this is a solution. Found it through the game steam forum.
Another solution is to run SERVICES, and stop the Touch screen typing program:
Press Win + R, type 'services.msc', press Enter
Find 'Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service', and double tap/click it
Click Stop
Select 'disabled' at 'Startup type'
no angsty plot twist or anything like that
This can fix your Error Problem. This install all Microsoft Visual C++

What the fuck is this reply, did it fall through a time warp from 2003?
Personnaly my pc wich is powerful is connect to my home cinema and hd tv in hdmi , gamepad in usb . It is like a console even better . No need of a console anymore for me since all games i really want are always coming on pc, even if there are excluvie on console at the beginning . The rare exception, are few sony games like ( the last guardian , uncharted , last of us , god of war ) and Nintendo games. But i will play them one day on my comp because of emulators . The ps3 emu runs already perfectly as well as wii u emu at full speed for me . Just waiting compatibility to increase in new versions each month, and grabbing the games i want, one by one, as soon as they are perfectly playable ( already 540 games perfectly playable on ps3 emu and it increase quickly) ( about 50-100 new games are playable each month. When i mean playable it is perfectly playable without any issues ) . And with the time , a ps4 emulator will also come .

EDIT: i have full screen and 60fps on highest settings I dont know if its per system of what but im running it just fine :) ALSO pc has exclusives in it WOOOO FINALY a se game that gives the pc some proper love content wise :)
Seems about right coming from Square Enix. Hopefully borderless gaming will be a fix around full screen, and maybe with any luck we will get a 60 FPS mod down the line.

If that doesn't work, buy a Console and never touch a PC again.
