Second: I also got the black screen, but reading the file SmartSteamEmu.ini lead me to activate it debug log. so i saw that the problem was SteamUtils009, browsing on google i came across this page (https://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1587239#p1587239). You have to register to be able to download the files that they talk about. Once you got the plugin files you should proceed to merge both folders (x64 & x86) with the ones found in Dresden Files Cooperative Card Game\SmartSteamEmu\Plugins And thats it! Hope it helps someone. And if you like the game you know what you should do. greetings.
This is not working for me. It starts goes up to the Evil hat procutions logo and the game just stops responding giving me a "DFCO.exe has stoped working" prompt...and yes I am using the launcher and my pc is more than capable of playing this. Edit:Just tested this on my laptop as well(that is more than qualified to play this game as well) and it gives me the exact same problem so yeah..the game is not working at all.

Find folder "experimental" and copy 4 dlls files from it to folder with game. Overwrite
everything, if asked. Start game by DCFO.
