I've installed the game but the control doesn't seem to work with keyboard and mouse. I figured out the A and B button in the game. To confim and cancel. Directional arrow on keyboard is being used as D-Pad. But i smashed every single keyboard button and cant figur X & Y button, either on keyboard or mouse. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Everytime i try and open the game up i get "Unable to play this game because you are either not logged in to Steam or you do not have the rights to play it." What should I do, downloaded all the parts. Extracted all of them, opened up the file, clicked IGG-hack.GU file type disc image file, then clicked setup. Did that and finished but the shortcut it gave me kept giving me what I have in quotes. Any ideas?
Hey! Im so frustated! Already beat the vol 1 and in the middle of beating vol 2 (already 7 hours of gameplay) then suddenly when i open .hack gu again, it starts from the beginning. Havent seen my saved files anywhere in the game. Ugh, im so sad. But the saved files actually was located on the steam folder, it's not even gone! But somehow it just cant show in my game. Idk why. Im having a problem installing this game in my HDD.. my laptop is gl553VD.. i tried installing but when it reaches cmn\movie\TerminalDisc\US\TD02.usm... error will popup saying "hardware error" and then all my drives except C are gone.. PS while installing, my disk active time reaches 100% EDITED: I guess the problem was the file and the installation path are in the same disk.. maybe the HDD cant handle that thing..
For those who have trouble with sound and resolution, just launch the terminal disc first. The game has a very nice graphics if only you configured it correctly. I'm currently playing it right now with smooth play and no trouble.

hey i rly need some help please i'm used to codex games i know how to crack them and stuff the point is: the game won't even launch i keep on having the same error again and again ( 0xc00007b ) i tried everything i could: reinstall, uninstall and reinstall DX, same for vcredist, i'm on win10 so i've been putting compatibility on win7 and win8, run as administrator but i keep on having that 0xc00007b error that won't even allow me to start the game for 1sec. i dunno if it comes from my computer (first time having a problem like that ever and every other games installed on my computer -codex or not- ARE working fine) or not. did someone experienced the same issue ? and how do you fixed it ?

dot hack is divided into three sagas NONE of which truely connect with one another said for a refrance MAYBE. ORIGINS which is basicly the original saga aka .hack SIGN which is the anime to go with that. ROOTS another anime that leads into GU Roots connects with GU but SIGN doesnt connect with that they are basicly VERSION 1 verses VERSION 2 of "the world" if you wanna catch up with the lore though watch the anime .hack sign first then roots then play GU you dont have to play the original dot hack series although you can but sign will basicly show you the whole story of that series anyway. :) i hope that helps you Tjuaja

i think the prequel for this game is .hack//sign. i played a lil bit of the game without watching or playing the prequel and you can still understand the story because they would show flashbacks...
Actually .hack//sing is a prequel to the original .hack, but don't worry, there's a part where it explains everything that happened in the previous games, as for .hack//sign, it is an anime, so you could watch the anime, and then the check the terminal for some explanation of the first 4 games, it tells you the important details

.hack sign is the prequal to the original series of dot hack games its an anime that has alot of story to fill in the gaps that lead to the original games there are 4 in that series referred to as . hack NOT .hack GU they are for ps2/3

No its not mislabled at all G U is a seperate saga in the .hack series :) its not a misprint at all. THink of it as like DBZ and DB and DBSUPER kinda deal :) GU is after the originals (dot hack and sign) Hope that helps :) I been a fan of dot hack from the beginning :) so im not the ultimate source for info but i know quite a bit about which saga is which :) and certain events :)

The game works fine for me but for some reason it starts in windowed mode and when I wanna fullscreen it, half of the window vanishes behind the boundaries of my monitor and I can't move the window and ALT + Enter doesn't work either.
Okay Played this Game for 2 days.. For me everything is working perfect. i'm using xbox controller no bugs or glitch so far My Rig Ryzen 7 RX580 16GB Ram 2 TB HDD without SSD Not a single drop on FPS. But because i see many people says this is a bad PC Port so i curious and install this game on my old Rig Intel I5 750 8GB ram 500GB HDD and a budget entry level graphic card RX550 and it still run perfectly with 60FPS( everything set in LOW ) in old monitor 1280x760 very playable already 4 hours gameplay on my old rigs definitly not a bad PC port. Tested.
Ok, I finally figured it out. At the main menu, you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move your selection around. The left button on the mouse is to confirm selection, the right mouse is to cancel selection or go back. So at the main menu, select "Terminal Disc". Once there, at the far left, select "System". Then select "Steam". This will allow you to remap the controller buttons to keyboard buttons, so you will then be able to use the keyboard. In the same options, you can also turn on audio, which is off by default for some god damn reason. Same with graphics settings. I was playing the first game on a story Area Word, the one you do with Kuhn and Pi, and I started a battle with some flying goblins on the second are of the map, and the moment the battle started, the game froze, the music kept playing but everything else was frozen, I had to use the task manager to finish the process. Up to that point everything worked fine, no fps drops or anything. Just in case anyone ask my specs CPU: AMD FX 8320 GPU: Nvdia Gforce GTX 1060 6GB Edit: I did the area again, but this time it didn't freeze, it might have to do with the angle I approached the enemies. Now it happened again in the arena this time, after an enemy sent me flying, just when haseo was falling to the ground the game froze, but this time the music also stopped
I never got that problem, I use a Ryzen 5 1600 and a GTX 1060 6GB. So it might have something to do with your CPU? or maybe your setting are to high for your computer to handle?
I highly doubt it, also the freeze seem so random, I had 2 at the start of a battle when using suprise attack and the one at the arena, but other than that, the game runs perfectly fine
That's still really weird that it'll freeze sometimes but then won't the next time you do the same area. How much RAM do you have if you don't mind me asking?

So I am trying to play with a controller and the button configurations are straight up wrong. I used a mod to change xbox icons to ps4 icons, and when i press a certain button it doesn't do what its supposed to. For example square on ps4 controller is X on xbox controller and its supposed to bring up the options. it doesn't. X (A) is supposed to be confirm but it quits game. Circle is supposed to quit game but it confirms. I really can not play this game with messed up configs. I can't even change controller mapping I can only bind the stupid controls to a keyboard and i am not playing a game meant for a controller with a keyboard.
Have you considered that maybe the issue is the mod and not the game itself? Because i play with a controller without the mod and every button does what it's supposed to do. also no, Y(Triangle) is what brings up the options, not X

Yes, u can use the keyboard to play. You just have to fix the keys and to find setup, go in the main screen you see the trilogy games at the end there 2 extra its in the blue.... :)

if your game crash in the tutorial, play with keyboard only with the joystick unplugged (previously configure the keyboard inputs in options menu pressing X on the joystick) and if your fps are low dont put antialiasing or shadows on high.

ITs a good port of the game. nuff said my full review is saved for the new game coming out but still its nice to have a complete collection made for pc on here. INCLUDING THE 4th one made exclusively for the pc people also highest settings run smooth for me 60 fps SOLID throughout no slowdown no loadtimes :)
I've tested this game via emulator and I have no idea what the hell you are talking. This Remaster (or whatever it's called) is so much better and finally worth playing.
Sloppy port? If you're getting FPS issues then get a better PC. I', playing the game with everything set to high and the game runs at a smooth 60 FPS at all times, there hasn't been a single frame drop yet
Yeah the port is shitty but it's far from being just an Emulation. The way I see it they took the source code, rewrote it to fit the ps4-standarts, remodelled, retextured and refiltered everything and they goddamn made a fourth game to the series. I think that they're probably gonna patch the PC Version at some point anyways. Other than that it's cool to see the dotHack series being alive. This is their first game ever since that age old psp and even if it basically is just a slight remake with a fourth game it still means, they haven't given up yet. Maybe we'll see a new dotHack game soon? And maybe the PC Port won't be so shitty lol

First off this "Garbage port" looks/runs/feels better than the original PS2 version. Also yea you more or less need a controller to play the game right, IT'S A PORT OF A PS2 GAME! You know a system that had no keyboard. So yeah when the remastered it they just switched the controller from PS2 to Xbox 1. Also the audio shouldn't have been off. I have literally had no problems with my game thus far and I'm half way through Vol. 1.

Not a single drop on FPS.
But because i see many people says this is a bad PC Port
so i curious and install this game on my old Rig
Intel I5 750
8GB ram
500GB HDD
and a budget entry level graphic card RX550
and it still run perfectly with 60FPS( everything set in LOW ) in old monitor 1280x760 very playable
already 4 hours gameplay on my old rigs
definitly not a bad PC port. Tested.
arrow keys on your keyboard to move your selection around. The left
button on the mouse is to confirm selection, the right mouse is to
cancel selection or go back. So at the main menu, select "Terminal
Disc". Once there, at the far left, select "System". Then select
"Steam". This will allow you to remap the controller buttons to
keyboard buttons, so you will then be able to use the keyboard. In the
same options, you can also turn on audio, which is off by default for
some god damn reason. Same with graphics settings.
Still an absolute garbage PC port though.

Edit: I did the area again, but this time it didn't freeze, it might have to do with the angle I approached the enemies.
Now it happened again in the arena this time, after an enemy sent me flying, just when haseo was falling to the ground the game froze, but this time the music also stopped

I've only played volume 1 on PS2 years back but never could get nor find the other two volumes.
I really can not play this game with messed up configs. I can't even change controller mapping I can only bind the stupid controls to a keyboard and i am not playing a game meant for a controller with a keyboard.

as for more info, it doesn't matter what it writes in there, it will not help in identifying the game's issue, since its a microsoft window. and i'm positive its not my PC, since i can play games from all regions, be it english, chinese, european, japanese, korean, cracked, reloaded, and etc.
I know too how to install games and never had problems, In fact This game works Fine..

Anyway there are guides for downloading files larger then 4 GB
Know that problem about the File system Fat 32 that doesn't accept file larger then 4 GB. Formatting With NTFS should work but Android may not recognize It (better to get a guide)

Sure, you can like it or not (I love Origins while hate every other AC), but it's FAR from being a no name game.
Anime-games are way more of a niche "genre".
The fact is, compared to "Assassins Creed", ".Hack" is the no name game.

"Disgaea" is also some sort of an anime-style game and I think there isn't even an anime... and yeah, also niche.
Atm, .Hack has over 1000 people that play the game... "Assassins Creed Origins" has over 36.000.
I don't care which game is better, but compared to "Assassins Creed", ".Hack" is the no name game.
And on PS4, ".Hack" has 21 ratings while "Assassins Creed Origins" has 328" in the german PSN store.
