need help i downloaded all 5 parts for elex but it gives me a folder with IGG-ELEX.iso do i need to do something with that or do different link want to play this game super bad
You dont need to download from http://nox.tv. Edit your "ConfigUser.xml" file like this. That´s all. :D edit: The german voice files are missing. :( Set VoiceLanguage="English" SystemLanguageVoice="false" for english voice and german subtitle and text.

Isn't it like some Fallout games? Actually, Elex is THE game which makes me think the most of the Fallout games... Like when you reach some radioactive zones and need a hazmat suit... Except I might prefer Fallout cos of the first-person view, which feels more immersive to me... (the main reason I still haven't even tried Witcher 3...) But towns feel more "alive" in Elex, like in most Piranha Bytes games... And every "little" thing you do has big consequences, so you think a lot before taking any decision. MANY of my quests got cancelled cos I did something which turned some potential allies into enemies, or the opposite, etc. Like when you steal an item and sell it to somebody you weren't supposed to, some other guys will stop talking to you, etc. I guess this is the best part of Elex. Leveling up stats is a real pain in the a** and I prefer much better the Fallout series about this... Having to look very hard to find people for very specific training, only to find out you don't have enough skills to train... Not sure I find this waste of time necessary. Also, I hope the game is long, cos... I played already a long time, and still don't have access to most conversation options, like to persuade people, etc. I hope I don't have to play 100 more hours to get these... Also, because of this, I felt like I didn't do the quests "properly"... It's difficult to explain, but it just feels frustrating when you feel like you could get more XP accomplishing a quest, if you had the right skills. Frustrating is a word that describes Elex very well. Most of the time, you don't have the right weapons/armors/skills/companions/etc. You eventually wonder if it's even possible. lol Story is boring... Again, there are more captivating games... The Elexit stuff doesn't click with me... Also, all factions are extremists in my opinion. lol I don't feel like joining any of them. (I read that a lot in the reviews, I'm not the only one...) I appreciate how combat is extremely secondary, which reminds me of Gothic II, which didn't involve that many fights. So many of them were avoidable... Also, I've gotta admit, some of the most fun moments I had in this game was just running away from enemies, and "luring" them into a place filled with allies which would just murder them for me. ha ha I remember doing this many times in most Piranha Bytes games.(especially Gothic II, in which you feel under-powered 80% of the time) In some way, you can say the A.I. is stupid, but it's actually one of the most enjoyable broken A.I..😆 Speaking of Gothic II, at least Elex has much better controls, but they're STILL horrible compared to recent RPGs... Everything feels painful to do, to the point that you feel like giving up on the game. I always said it, controls are EVERYTHING, in any game. I'm afraid that Piranha Bytes will never get it right. Now, let's start the real fun. The second life of the game is only beginning. Mods and unofficial patches will come sooner than expected. Can't wait to see how fans are going to save this half-great half-terrible game. lol Gothic 3 with the latest unofficial patch is great in my opinion(my favorite of the series), so I bet they can do it again.😁👍
Maybe you got the game from somewhere else? I got a "repack" from a certain girl😏 and well, the gog update is not compatible with her repack. So maybe try to download the main game from IGG?
Hi IGG. I have a problem when i launch the game, after both dev teams apperead at the start of the game, the game crash in a black screen and show me a message : Error, can't launch the game and then windows tell me that's not responding. I have downloaded it with the torrent and made all the updates ( microsoft, GPU... ) If it can help, i have a blackwidow keyboard and all lights are freaking out when i launch the game.. HELP !
ffs so pissed, the 4th faction is just a sham, you can't create a new one and i read that even if you join a faction they'll still follow you, the other factions are more or less crazy, i'll probably join the clerics for their cool armor...
lol I'm interested in joining the clerics too. I just started playing seriously now. God, what a time-consuming game though! I forgot how real rpgs took time to explore! lol Like in Gothic 2, it takes houuuurs to explore towns and try to do quests! I'm still not too in love with the setting though. If I had to compare it, it would be to one of the Fallout games, and I prefer their "lore" to Elex's.

Hello guys, since i was here last time and i downloaded this files there was "elex.language.packs" from 1 to 6 can someone tell me how to instal them to the game? (game works fine but i want other language in it)
To play on newest version first update to 1.1 GOG-version and after update to 1.0.2846.0 GOG-version. I don´t know why how chronology it is but it´s working. And for german players change in Elex/data/ini/ConfigDefault Language-variables from english to german
i was at part 13 gog version 990mb per part now its changed to 5gb per part. hey do the same thing gonna happen to all the other games, because i don't wanna downloading part 100 shadow of war and the same thing happen

hi, when i launch the game it takes me to the steam page. i've tried to apply the crack but when i try to copy it in the game folder it gives me the error "access file denied". how can i solve?
Still don't know what to think about it. I keep going back to it and it's not bad at all, but... Unlike what lots of people say, I don't think the problem is the gameplay.(which is actually good imho, even if I don't like the fighing system, as usual with Piranha Bytes) The problem is that it doesn't have a "soul"... I don't see memorable charismatic npcs... The lore is uninteresting... I find myself yawning a lot, having to read about these weird made up factions which have no basis in real life so I can't relate to any of them. Despite the mix of magic and guns which we don't see often in games (I loved it in Arcanum), it doesn't feel special or unique in any way. It's quite bland, frankly... And Gothic games were VERY "atmospheric". So far I don't feel this in Elex. And NO patch will ever be able to "fix" this. Definitely not as bad as some reviewers said, but... Also easily "skippable", I'm afraid. But this is the kind of game "professional" reviewers should spend at least 50 hours in before giving their opinion though. What do you guys think?
shit im only at the 20ish hour mark just started the 3rd chapter im loving it, i never played a parana bytes game before this, i will admit tho i did rage a fair bit in the first 10 - 15 levels if i could give advice to any one thinking about playing this dont do what i did and run in like rambo and expect to survive
I actually really like it. The lore is actually pretty cool to me and I don't get bored hearing the people, maybe because im too obsessed to know every lore detail of the games lol. Yes, I didin't meet some NPC that I like or relate, but they have nice personality and you don't see in NPC of many games. For example, usually in games, everyone in the faction has the same mentallity like they are in some kind of unrealistic hivemind (Think for example in the Stormcloaks in Skyrim and find ONE guy that says "Ulfric is right, but I don't really agree with the Argonians living in the port" or something). I'ts not hard finding people that don't fully agree with the Berserkers rules for example. There's even a discussion about tecnology and magic with one NPC (I don't remember who). About atmospheric... maybe because is too hard to make the combination of old world ruins/medieval/Mad Max/Cyberpunk in the same place. However, they have some little atmospheres: for a moment I forgot that the game was cyberpunkish in the Berserker town. And when I saw a Cleric place in a prelaunch video it was so beautiful, like a spaceship in the night. I'm concentrating in the Clerics so I expect to find that place. However, I really like the factions and how is so different to play with one or another. I'm still exploring. Slowly, the game is pretty unforgiving, but I really like it. Maybe there's something a little off, but I can't precise what. Maybe Im just too paranoid to discover that the other factions are less detailed or something. And I agree: you need to play for a while to decide if this game is good or not.

YOU blue lily I have seen around before and appriciate your views on this kinda stuff :) This game in all essance is FUN I personaly feel it does have soul but not really like some other games out there. The Cleric quests in paticular are very memorable to me The beserkers were all like NO TECH HERE no matter what you did and that although turned me off to the faction was still bringing life to the town. Elex is FUN addictive and the bad voice acting really sells the game and makes it better for some reason. (take last alert for the Turbographix 16 CD system same reason its a cult following now) Everyone has their opinions and your inputs are very much appriciated. i digress anyway Thanks for saying what i basicly thought. Crazy,i feel the same,like you said kinda soulless.I still give it a try but not so enthusiastic as i was before :(,Well we getting older thats for sure.Sometimes for me at least it can grow to be good.I hope this was understandable.(no native too).For example: Divinity o-sin was love on third,noo forth sight,hehe.
When i play it, i have this gothic feel, which wasn't even in Gothic 3 to be honest. I love that i die almost everytime i face an enemy, i love the concept of Elex and it's many forms, for example elex -> magic and with that an alternative for the Beserker faction. Also the iconic 3 camps with their bosses who always list the "you did that and that, but this was really shitty of you". What is also really funny to me is, that megalan is basically like the world of gothic 3: Snow area, wood area and desert~ But there is also things that i dislike:
Characters look mostly the same (that could be fixable with a patch)
Characters also sound mostly the same (i like the old voiceactors of gothic, but there should be a wider variety)
I feel like i'm spending way too much points to get some "basic" skills, but that is manageable~
The variety of enemy movements or enemies themselves could be higher and better. So i'm only in for about 12 hours, but i didn't join a faction yet, so there should be plenty more, i hope. For me it's a must play, but i'm also one of those guys that played Gothic 1 and 2 about 15 times each soo... Oh and i'm not a native speaker, i apologize for any misunderstanding because of my lack of vocabulary, lol.
I understand your English perfectly, and no worries I'm not a native speaker either. lol Well, I eventually downloaded the game anyway, cos like you, I sure like that magical feeling I got from the Gothic games (I like the Risen ones too) so I really want to give it a chance. I'm curious to see if they'll add content or if modders will do something to improve the game too. Btw, have you played Gothic 3 with the huge community patch? It makes it so much better that I eventually enjoyed it a lot.
I sure hope that they'll add some new content, hopefully a unique characters expansion with a few bigger sidestories who connect to eachother. And i did play Gothic 3 with the community patch, quest pack and content pack or whatever it's called, but i couldn't enjoy the combat, because the flying arm of death gets old after a while and the constant spam is no fun at all. The world itself felt different than what i expected after Gothic 2's ending and it felt kinda empty... i don't know. The character's themselves were mostly good while some quest's seemed forced, it was still ok to do them. Honestly though, i wish gothic would have ended after Gothic 2. They could have rather made a future version of gothic and put some references in and design a new world without being forced too much on the current situation with the orc crisis, Well i'm rambling again, sorry for that.
I did notice that as I age, I'm more and more "jaded"(not sure about this word, I just learned it XD) whenever something new comes out. It feels like "yaaawn I've seen it a thousand times..." (even when it's not true lol) Yesterday I spent hours on Youtube trying to find if there was any nice movie made in the last 10 years. (I completely stopped watching new movies) Haven't found anything that excited me. lol On the other hand, isn't it feeling good too, in a way? It feels like you just don't even have to care anymore about new things and keep up with the trends and stuff. lol Didn't know that this feeling would come so early in life though. (mid-30s) I assume that's because my generation had access to so many things online especially that we already know a lot at a young age...
Im gonna sum this up by simply saying this im 43 yrs old GAMER FOR LIFE :) and i enjoy the same things as much as i did when i was young. HOWEVER its hard to truely NAIL that feeling now a days when a game does that I BUY IT this is amung those games Its not THE BEST one that did it but it is amung my favorites now.
Thank you. Hey besides the TONS of VISUAL NOVELS on here which i never touch i have found quite a few hidden gems in here most of em good. Once in a while i find Fools gold :) but usualy they are fun and I end up buying em anyway which is why i love it here :) I dont want demos where it spoils alot of the meat of the game early on I rather try a game this way from the beginning and see.
get the gog version its easier and doesnt need to be cracked BUT if you did get the steam version look for say CODEX or RLD folder copy all the files in that folder to the main install directory and overwrite
you still have the games setup files if you do then yeah go to gamecopyworld for the crack. IF YOU DO NOT redownload the GoG version :) youll be happy you did cause it dont need any cracks
OR look for the reloaded folder on the ISO copy all the files from that into the main dir overwrite any files it asks you to :) I just got the GoG version and did it from there no crack needed for that one :) The games great btw Im 3 hours in had to restart cause i made a bad choice in the beginning and it screwed me a tiny bit :) but its awesome.
Lol I fixed it myself, because my brother buyed elex, and we are using share play or something, so I've just downloaded Elex and searched for the missing file, or more like polish voice and tekst, its in folder Elex/data/packed and there are files with names c_1_en.pak. So I had just to copy the c_1_pl.pak from the TRUE STEAM NOT CRACK VERSION ELEX and paste it to this folder, but I've also deleted c_1_en.pak. Ps. sorry for bad english, but the admin just have to post these files and now you know what to do

Please write your impressions about this game here. I trust people here more than Steam reviews. lol As for me, I loved most Piranha Bytes games but this one makes me hesitate. This mix of cyberpunk/post-apocalyptic/medieval something... It's just so weird to me.
If you know other Piranha games like Gothic and Risen, then you know the mechanics and what to expect. An all by yourself proscript starting a new life. Surprisingly, this time has a name. Absolutely irrelevant but it has one. The combat is simple. You got the fast punch and the power punch. Evade is running around or rolling away. You can block so is good to have a shield. Wearpons is sight and shoot. And that's it. I didin't tried magic or psionics yet. There are factions, of course, and you can choose with with one to be. The Berskerks (Or the Medievals), the Outlaws (Or the Mad Max) and the Clerics (Or the Institute from Fallout 4, but probably better). Right now, I only know about the Berskerks: they don't use tecnology and they use magic to restore the world, but they rules are thight and ALL tecnology is forbidden. The berskerks at the same time has three clans: the Hammers, the Hodded Crows... and I forgot the other two. I still know little about the other two factions, but I expect that they are as complete as this one. The world is dinamic and decisions affect the game. Like in a Telltale Game, the game tells you when a option that you choose affects on the story (And thanks God, you can deactivate it). For example, choosing a faction puts you in a different gameplay: or you have magic and swords, or you have psionics and energy wearpons, or you have drugs and explosives. Also affects something that is called "cold", that is bascally how many emotions the character has. I'ts not bad or good being cold or emotional, just different. The story is interesting and it looks deep. As always in Piranha, the characters have a distinguishable personality: the fervient fanatic, the good guy, the reverent, the warrior, the "f*ck this, I can't work like this". You don't will find a mentality per faction and you will find the good and bad things talking with people and hearing the diferent speeches. I can't talk too much more than this for now. But I know that this will be a good ride and I will probably finish it. Some things could be more updated, but i'ts not a horrible gameplay or something. Maybe i'ts not for everyone, maybe you just need to give it a shot. I will play it a little more.

weird is that in INTRO i have normal polish dubbing when he talk about planet and everything. But in game i have only subtitules and no voice ;/

Sadly there is not. I changed both of my .ini files and I just got german text but no german voice acting. The .pak seems to be missing in the steam version.

It's popular problem, bro. You try search on google about 3DPChip and install it, then use it, it will give you some links to download latest driver for your VGA, CPU,... Download and install all latest driver, then restart your PC, and start game then ;) . I hope it will fixed your problem.

Es ist ein Deutsches Spiel. Heißt sogar mit Vollvertonung. Musste bei mir allerdings dafür die Datei ConfigDefault.xml ändern. Findest du in Elex/data/ini
funktioniert bei dir auch die tonausgabe? bei mir spricht nämlich keiner mehr. ich seh nur die untertitel und alles andere auf deutsch. wenn ich auf english umstelle kriege ich auch wieder eine tonausgabe.
naja unter elex/data/packed seh ich nur die endungen en.pak und na.pak wobei die en.pak 3gb groß ist, also nehme ich an das da eine de.pak fehlt und hoffe das sie bei der 3-4gb größeren gog version mit enthalten ist.

I just literally beat divinity original sin 2 twice both purge/share source ending. I crave for more good writing with consequence action. I hope once this is done uploading, it'll be the same experience when i played divinity original sin 2 the 1st time. I haven't enjoyed good games in a long time.
I finished every ending in original sin 2 by just reloading the save I made before you pick from the options. Was kind of sad how simple it was, like the endings of Mass Effect 3.

I find myself yawning a lot, having to read about these weird made up factions which have no basis in real life so I can't relate to any of them.
Despite the mix of magic and guns which we don't see often in games (I loved
it in Arcanum), it doesn't feel special or unique in any way. It's
quite bland, frankly...
And Gothic games were VERY "atmospheric". So far I don't feel this in Elex.
And NO patch will ever be able to "fix" this.
Definitely not as bad as some reviewers said, but... Also easily "skippable", I'm afraid.
But this is the kind of game "professional" reviewers should spend at least 50 hours in before giving their opinion though.

Yes, I didin't meet some NPC that I like or relate, but they have nice personality and you don't see in NPC of many games. For example, usually in games, everyone in the faction has the same mentallity like they are in some kind of unrealistic hivemind (Think for example in the Stormcloaks in Skyrim and find ONE guy that says "Ulfric is right, but I don't really agree with the Argonians living in the port" or something). I'ts not hard finding people that don't fully agree with the Berserkers rules for example. There's even a discussion about tecnology and magic with one NPC (I don't remember who).
About atmospheric... maybe because is too hard to make the combination of old world ruins/medieval/Mad Max/Cyberpunk in the same place. However, they have some little atmospheres: for a moment I forgot that the game was cyberpunkish in the Berserker town. And when I saw a Cleric place in a prelaunch video it was so beautiful, like a spaceship in the night. I'm concentrating in the Clerics so I expect to find that place. However, I really like the factions and how is so different to play with one or another.
I'm still exploring. Slowly, the game is pretty unforgiving, but I really like it. Maybe there's something a little off, but I can't precise what. Maybe Im just too paranoid to discover that the other factions are less detailed or something.
And I agree: you need to play for a while to decide if this game is good or not.

So i'm only in for about 12 hours, but i didn't join a faction yet, so there should be plenty more, i hope. For me it's a must play, but i'm also one of those guys that played Gothic 1 and 2 about 15 times each soo...

Well, I eventually downloaded the game anyway, cos like you, I sure like that magical feeling I got from the Gothic games (I like the Risen ones too) so I really want to give it a chance.
I'm curious to see if they'll add content or if modders will do something to improve the game too.
Btw, have you played Gothic 3 with the huge community patch?
It makes it so much better that I eventually enjoyed it a lot.
And i did play Gothic 3 with the community patch, quest pack and content pack or whatever it's called, but i couldn't enjoy the combat, because the flying arm of death gets old after a while and the constant spam is no fun at all. The world itself felt different than what i expected after Gothic 2's ending and it felt kinda empty... i don't know. The character's themselves were mostly good while some quest's seemed forced, it was still ok to do them. Honestly though, i wish gothic would have ended after Gothic 2.
They could have rather made a future version of gothic and put some references in and design a new world without being forced too much on the current situation with the orc crisis,

Once in a while i find Fools gold :) but usualy they are fun and I end up buying em anyway which is why i love it here :) I dont want demos where it spoils alot of the meat of the game early on I rather try a game this way from the beginning and see.

As for me, I loved most Piranha Bytes games but this one makes me hesitate.
This mix of cyberpunk/post-apocalyptic/medieval something... It's just so weird to me.
The combat is simple. You got the fast punch and the power punch. Evade is running around or rolling away. You can block so is good to have a shield. Wearpons is sight and shoot. And that's it. I didin't tried magic or psionics yet.
There are factions, of course, and you can choose with with one to be. The Berskerks (Or the Medievals), the Outlaws (Or the Mad Max) and the Clerics (Or the Institute from Fallout 4, but probably better). Right now, I only know about the Berskerks: they don't use tecnology and they use magic to restore the world, but they rules are thight and ALL tecnology is forbidden. The berskerks at the same time has three clans: the Hammers, the Hodded Crows... and I forgot the other two. I still know little about the other two factions, but I expect that they are as complete as this one.
The world is dinamic and decisions affect the game. Like in a Telltale Game, the game tells you when a option that you choose affects on the story (And thanks God, you can deactivate it). For example, choosing a faction puts you in a different gameplay: or you have magic and swords, or you have psionics and energy wearpons, or you have drugs and explosives. Also affects something that is called "cold", that is bascally how many emotions the character has. I'ts not bad or good being cold or emotional, just different.
The story is interesting and it looks deep. As always in Piranha, the characters have a distinguishable personality: the fervient fanatic, the good guy, the reverent, the warrior, the "f*ck this, I can't work like this". You don't will find a mentality per faction and you will find the good and bad things talking with people and hearing the diferent speeches.
I can't talk too much more than this for now. But I know that this will be a good ride and I will probably finish it. Some things could be more updated, but i'ts not a horrible gameplay or something. Maybe i'ts not for everyone, maybe you just need to give it a shot.
I will play it a little more.

Is there added any other then english language ? Because when i changed to polish i got only text no sound when people talk. Can you add only language folders to download ??
