hey i tried to do step one but it says the game folder or disc is full. Once i open the game file/disc it creates a new driver called cuphead with 0 MB in it, thats why i cant move my dlc files into it. could u also specify to which file i should move my dlc files to?
hi sorry for late reply, install in a disk with space and remember the directory. the dlc files should be moved into that directory (the dafault from skidrow iirc is C:/Games/Cuphead)

Windows 7 really helped a lot especially with old pc with minimum spec while windows 10 demand a lot of cpu and ram.
For poor or a standart pc that doesnt have GTX vga or just using old cpu with on board graphic the only choice we had just windows 7. Im using windows 7 while windows 10 is so laggy, running games that smooth in win 7 like cuphead could become lagging like crazy in windows 10, never mind the game, even exploler run so laggy on my pc. So yeah the only way for low old pc to play games these days is to use windows 7.
The new versions of windows aren't better than the old ones, they just have more features. Neither the windows store nor cortana are features that I'd ever use. And the actual improvements it has like NTFS partitions and more max ram don't justify certain programs I use not working. You remind me of a "repairman" who told me to install a new version of windows when my computer was randomly shutting off, because it was "better". In actuality I had a problem with the power supply unit, and he had no idea what he was talking about. I have used both windows 8 and 10, it's how I know certain programs don't work on them.

Cracks behave like malwares so It's not unusual for a crack to be detected as such, however its safe to use its only purpose is to let you play the game without paying for it.
As far as im aware, igg hasn't sent me any viruses. any seemingly malicious downloads are instantly blocked by my browser so i recommend you get some layer of protection just in case.
It deletes me entire system, required to automatic recovery after restarting a system. Game works, but still destroys your system. Never gonna DL anything from igg. Glad I didn't have any important files on this PC.

you probably use windows defender so: open windows security -> virus & threat protection from there you can either go to protection history, then find and allow the file that was detected or go to manage settings and turn real-time protection off, then extract the files again.
It's not entirely an AV thing. Windows Defender didn't even register it on mine. I'm having a similar issue as Richard though, install works great (although you have to remember to switch it to English since it starts in Russian). Game installs fine, though there's no secondary cracked file or anything. When you click to load the game, it does a the fuzzy loading screen that the game does, freezes for a sec after like 10 seconds, then immediately closes. Only difference is that mine doesn't give me any error, it just suddenly closes in the same place each time.
I think, it could be your AV, you dont have all the drivers or the system requierements of the game, when i install games from this site , i make sure that my AV real time protection is turned off, then i install the game with the crack on it and finally i add the the files of the games to exclusions so i dont have to worry if my AV delets some files after i restart my computer. If you need more help tell me :D
It's definitely not a driver thing, I can say that with certainty. I ended up just buying the legit version through Steam, and I didn't have any of the same errors at all. It's not an AV thing either since again, mine being Windows Defender it automatically flags and says something when it does block files, or when you try to load the cracks manually (which I always do just in case WD interferes and blocks it during the install)...and it didn't block any files or quarantine anything, and I got no "this file contains a virus" false positive message when I did the manual applying of the crack, so this wasn't that issue. If it was an AV thing anyways, it would give some kind of error when loading the game, or more likely it'd try to load something like Steam since the AV generally tends to target the specific cracked files, which end up being the files of course that prevent it from loading the game manager or giving the "You must be logged into Steam to play this game!" type of error. If it loaded and threw out a message like "This game needs Steam_api.dll to run" or required Steam to run/tried to log you into Steam, or threw out some error message (or WD had a new alert for a "malicious" file), then I'd agree it'd be an AV thing. If the game had some driver error, or it didn't choose to load just fine with the legitimately bought version through Steam, then I'd agree it'd be a driver/lack of preferred minimal requirements thing. However, since there was no error, no WD ping (and believe me, that annoying program pings everything it doesn't like), and the bought version worked just fine, it means that there was some other issue with the game files themselves...at least with the MegaUp one (since that's the one I use for basically all of my downloads).

if you download an exe file its an ad download and you need to click download again to get the correct file. if you got a rar file then its a false positive from the crack files so disable your AV before extracting / installing

Because it's not PC, it's Playstation. If the game has a PC version of it, you can request it on the IGG request page, but check Steam before you do anc check IGG to see if the game isn't already on the website
windows defender or anti-virus is blocking steam_api.dll from being acessed because "it's a trojan". I'm not sure if it's evil but the game only works if it has that .dll, I already tried to download a virus free version of the same .dll to test if the game works, but it doesn't so yeah. If you want to run the game let the "virus" on your computer or create an exception in the defender/anti-virus software for that specific trojan (I aplogize for my bad english. Hope I could help).

Is the file size less than 5 MB? Did you get the file directly, or have you used an exe? If the answer to any of the questions is yes, you downloaded an ad. Please try downloading the files again and make sure you get the correct ones.

I asume that you are using winrar, it usualy happens because winrar eather detects that you are taking something you need to buy or because he can't transfer it to your computer by itself. Try to NOT use winrar at all, or manually transfer files by separating them. I recommend that you don't use winrar, but make a clear download from the source to the computer
You can use a program like UltraISO(that's what i use). Or WinCDEmu(haven't tried myself), as this site suggests: https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/mount-an-iso-image-in-windows-vista/ These programs basically makes the contents of the ISO file be recognized by the computer as a virtual disc you've inserted to your computer, and functions similarly. Instructions and examples shown in the link i gave you.

This is my second game to download here in this website (the first one is PvZ: GOTY Edition) and I'm so happy that i successfully downloaded and installed this game. Well, I just followed the instructions thoroughly and it worked 100%. I really don't know why others experienced some errors. I don't also think that the system requirements are accurate because the minimum processor to run this game is 3.0 GHz but my laptop is 1.0 GHz and i experienced no lag.

I'm going to teach you how to put cuphead first download the iso then extract the iso that later run the setup, when it is installed they go to the destination they copy first the codex which would be cuphead and some steam files and copy it where it was installed replacing the installed cuphead then they go back to the codex folder and they copy the plugins and they do the same but in cuphead data, plugins and ready I hope it helps them

To download this, you need to mount the iso file with Daemon tools to install the setup, then copy all the files from CODEX folder and paste them into the cuphead directory, it should give an option to copy or replace the existing folder. I can't do anything about that, the game seems to have installed properly though, try lowering the resolution on your desktop (right click desktop and click display settings then lower the resolution.)
The game wasn't installed properly and or the crack wasn't applied properly either. The game works fine for me even with the updates, you have to install the updates one by one, first 1.1.3 and 1.1.4.

but it wouldn't matter as just about every pc today runs 64 bit and 64 can run 32 bit apps. if you have a 32 bit operating system with a 64 bit capable core i recommend upgrading your OS or just downloading a 64 bit edition of Linux and dual booting.

Just go to download cuphead zip and open codex folder. Copy everything and paste in installed game, copy and replace and this should work. I did it with DBXV codex and it runs smoothly.

then run setup.exe.....when codex setup opens...make sure you choose the folder which has enough storage(around 11 GB is required)......correct the option for " copy the contents of codex directory into the installdir.

when i downloaded this game since i have mac i extracted the .rar file and it didn't give me a .exe file to play the game, is anyone else having this problem??

It's on the same ISO image file you downloaded the game. it's on a foulder called CODEX. after you install the game explore the foulder with the installer of the game and find that CODEX folder, copy the files on it to the main game folder.

Since you used deamon tools, create a virtual disk reader and place the ISO you downloaded there, then right click with the mouse and click explore content, you will see everything inside the ISO as a folder, you will get the crack files inside a folder called CODEX. (The crack is in any download link provided here).
They updated the game today, fixing a HUGE number of things, mainly.. mugman army glitch, weapon switch damage glitch, ALL boss exploits now patched as well.
They did however buff the charge weapon by letting you keep your charge even when you parry but countered that by reducing the overall damage, still for most stages this makes the game too easy charge is easily the most op weapon ever I beat the devil in only 20 tries with it to actually let you keep your charge and not start all over is a great advantage except of course if you let go then parry almost instantaneously to which case this update nerfs it still that weapon is still too op
I thought getting 3 mugmen was meh and could ruin the game so I didn't really pursue the glitch but now that I finished I am curious about how many mugmen I can create before the game crashes and my pc explodes.
that one you need to crack actually never mind you go to the folder and take whats in the codex i think it is and put it where the .exe is and hit replace if it askes you

I've downloaded several games from IGG games before but I've never had this problem, when i launch the game it sends me straight to the Cuphead steam purchase page instead of letting me play the game. Is there a way to fix this or did I do something wrong?

As for the error where Cuphead_Data can't be found... I think it's because it's installed by default in "Program Files". Try installing it in "C:\Games", in Documents, or somewhere else. Tutorial for people who don't know how to install this. First you install cuphead. Then you extract the first part. Now mount the disc and install it. Go to file explorer and go down until you find DVD Drive. Now you should see folder named "CODEX" Open it and copy all the stuff there. Now go to your cuphead icon and right click it, then select open file location. Now just paste that stuff in you just copied from CODEX. Run the game and enjoy.
Here's a little fix for multiplayer and x360ce (Warning: This MAY or MAY NOT work for you, i can't test this on other games/PCs/Controllers. Sorry): 1-Make sure the game actually recognizes your controller. (Go to Controlls and assign yours to P1) 2-Load a save or start fresh. 3-Make Mugman join the adventure. 4-Open Settings > Controls. There should be two new options: "Player One" and "Player Two". 5-Switch to "Player Two" (press Z or your assigned button), now you'll see there are no buttons assigned. 6-Assign the buttons :P *Now, if Mugman can move but CAN'T interact with anything here's what you need to do: 7-Go to your search bar and type %appdata%. 8-Open the "Cuphead" folder. 9-There'll be three files. These are the game's files, open the one where you want to do multiplayer with notepad or something similar (if it has a Search tool it'll be a lot easier). 10-Search for "playerTwo":{"money:". If this number is HIGHER than 9, there's your problem. 11-Change it to whatever number you want AS LONG AS IT'S LOWER THAN 9. 12-Launch the game, load the save you just edited, make P2 join. 13-If everything went right, Mugman should now be able to move and interact with everything. I know this is very long but I can't write so cut me some slack. I hope it helps

I'm trying to use the codex installer, but whenever i open it, it doesn't appear, instead it just appears in the taskbar, and clicking on the icon doesn't do anything. you CAN do something that might help : open the task manager , go to details , right click the wanted the program , change the priority to High it will give you at least 10+ fps

There is a readme file that says "IF YOU LIKE THE GAME, BUY IT TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPERS". IGG doesn't have control of what people do with these and it's up to whoever downloads it, if they pirate it but don't buy it later is up to each person. Cuphead is an exclusive game for Xbox and Microsoft I think wineskin (Linux) can execute steam therefore once executed steam you can buy the game and play it normally (find where the game is downloaded and use wineskin to open it)

Don't you think the developers of this game would like more people to be able to play and experience this game? I know for a fact that if I was unable to pirate this game, I would not play it. I have thus far really enjoyed this game, and am planning on telling my friends to buy it, creating more consumers. I think the developers who poured their souls into this game would rather have people pirate it and play it than not pirate it and not play their work of art. As for the money problem, I too, have this problem. And you said; "just wait until you get the money to buy the game" but unfortunately, it really isn't that simple. Well, I'm sorry for you but even in your situation I bet that you don't go around stealing cars, downloading a free release of a paid game is calculated as a steal and it could get you in serious trouble if the police check your computer even if it is a personal computer they can sue you up to 500$ (but don't worry police don't often check personal computer but they check like every month office computers) also if what you said is true and all you have is your computer then I highly suggest you to start programming (check internet guides) then start working on a really big project (remember to make some short of protection or I will be leaked) When released that project you will be called to work on something bigger and they will even pay you for your work, that is how I started programming.
You say the game is cheap but that's only your opinion. 20 dollars is NOT a small amount in a lot of countries. It can sometimes make up a third of a whole salary. Think about it like this : If you don't have enough money to buy it then pirating won't cost the devs anything because you're not a customer in the first place. It's people who have money and still pirate games who are hurting the devs.

Look! I'm just a noob that doesn't know how to download a game. I can find the setup.exe file as opposed to another game I download easily (Mark of the Ninja great game btw) and now I'm sorta frustrated. Tell me, anyone, step by step what I should do. I used Google Drive, if that helps
i'd suggest downloading through torrent but after you download u open the iso file and then open setup.exe after that you need to check the download codex files or whatever its called and press install.
http://1.download all the parts for the game. 2. select all of them then extract them 3. after you extracted, a folder would appear, enter the folder then click on the .iso file 4. right click on the .iso file then open it with file explorer then double click on the "setup.exe" 5. install the game. 6. in the folder where the files were extracted should be a crack folder named "SKIDROW" or "CODEX" or simply "CRACK" copy all of its content then paste it into the game's directory (if you made a desktop shortcut then just right click it then click "open file location").In case it asks for replacing some files, thats what you have to do. 7. in case the game doesn't save, or it simply doesn't start just run it as administrator only the first time you open the game. (in the gta v's case or other games who cant start without running it as admin, you'll need to run it as administrator everytime). 8. in case of black screen download and install all of these softwares (only 64bit ofc): http://igg-games.com/black-screen-cant-start-games.html applying the update(you dont need this here):

After that, go to the iso file and right click then go to "open file with" and click "daemon tools" after this you can follow the tutorial

you sure you copied everything in the Codex file into the game directory? Perhaps reinstall the game with your Anti-virus turned off? I just downloaded the game and played around for 30 minutes, worked perfectly fine.

I've used Codex quite a bit in the past and it's one of my most trusted installation programs for pirated games. It can sound shifty depending on what music your program has (Has different soundtracks). In short, no I've never had a problem with it.
this kind of game has been here since long. it's called bullet hell. some new player just couldn't bear with the bullet avoiding or the mechanism of repeating a level. i mean, have you ever played chip n dale where if you lose all life you will repeat THE WHOLE GAME instead of a 2 min duration game?

Yes, they are in the same one. I made a new folder, named it Cuphead and put the foldiers / rar files in there. i Extracted the Part 1 file, and had another file called "Cuphead" Now, what's next?
Open the folder, if there is a iso file then mount it using .iso programs (i use UltraISO), if there is a setup.exe file then install the game in your specific folder, if there is just the game like cuphead.exe just launch and play.
Yep, Use .iso files to unmount it. I recommend using UltraISO, install it and right click on the file, there will be a mount option click on it and done. After installing the game, make sure you unmount/eject it, or else you won't be able to delete this folder.
Not yet, go back where you found mounted everything, and copy the contents INSIDE the CODEX and paste them where you installed the game. Then launch the game.
The files from the Codex. Goes to the place where you installed the game. For example- the mounted file and the exe is in DVD R:, you installed the game in Local Disk E:, put the codex files in Local Disk E. this is an example. Hopefully you understand it
codex isnt installed in the correct place then. Dont put the contents inside Local Disk C: place it where you exactly installed the game. Example- Local Disk C:/Games/Cuphead/
Well, I installed the ISO thing. I installed all three parts. extracted the part1 thing. Went into the file. Right clicked the file with the disk image. And no mount button. I can try downloading the ISO thing again?
oh my god! seeing this kind of thing makes me cringe.. it's actually as simple as this: -extract the files -mount the iso (if there is one. windows 8 and above should be able to mount it using windows explorer) -find a file named setup.exe or something (if you wanna know which one is it, it's the one that has "application" type) -just install the whole thing (one note. CODEX usually has a tick "copy all contents of CODEX folder into install directory" in the setup. did you see it? i haven't download this game so i don't know. if you see one in the setup, just tick it and you can play it now) -if you possibly can't find the tick, it's just as simple as : http://1.open CODEX folder 2.copy the whole thing inside it 3.paste and replace it to your install directory since i see that it has some Cuphead_data/Plugins folder thing in the comment, open two explorer and see in the install directory if there is one folder called Cuphead_data/Plugins too. copy the things inside the Cuphead_data/Plugins folder from the ISO to the Cuphead_data/Plugins where you install it. you don't actually installed the "ISO thing" but it works like inserting a CD. after the install, make sure you eject it by right click > eject.

The plugins folder contains the game's resources, if you replaced it entirely with the one on the crack, you basically deleted valuable resources. I suggest you reinstall, copy the plugins folder contents, and paste it in the plugins found in the install path.
the easiest way to install the crack if you dont know how is to uninstall the game then run the setup again. in the installer theres an option to copy the files from the CODEX folder. i do suggest that you become familiar with installing cracks to prevent this in the future
Download poweriso (or any other .iso program) and then mount the .iso file. It will make it like if you put a cd/dvd into your computer, so go to your files and open it like a movie.
For those of you who have the same issue i did: If the .exe only opens the game in steam follow these instructions. 1.Take the Codex file from the .iso you opened earlier, you may need to go through winrar again 2.Paste the CODEX file into the actual game file and replace all files Hopefully this works for you! (Also, did not need to turn off antivirus but you may have to)
Okay i got it now and i feel so dumb... don't just copy the stuff in (G:)/CODEX/Cuphead_Data/Plugins/ but actually all the stuff in (G:)/CODEX/ so the exe and so on too. (Also kill your antivirus/fire wall if it still doesn't work)

I think you're wrong, but I also get your point. But the thing is, a game, every game can follow it's own purpose. And Cuphead just isn't a game where you can relax, that isn't it's intention. It wants to be a really challenging experience, and I don't know about the "easy-mode" less content thing (cause I've alway played on regular ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ), but for me, that is pretty interesting, so if you want to see the game in it's fullest, you have to play the game in it's fullest~

Not saying the game is unfair i just dont think content should be blocked based on the initial skill of the player. Typically, I would go through Task Manager and find the application using the file. But, sometimes you can simply open the properties of the file(s) and the file will refresh its usage if no programs are in fact using it. Try the properties trick, and if that does not work, I'd restart my pc. If that doesn't work, go through task manager and find the most probable program to use the file.
Do you use a PS controller? Because if so, I'd suggest using SCPDS3 or DS4 (depending on if it's Dualshock3 for PS3 or Dualshock4 for PS4. It works for me

Ok, so I need a bit of help here. Every time I try to open the .exe file it opens steam, says "preparing to launch cupphead" for a second, closes, and then nothing happens at all. I tried reinstalling it, movng the CODEX file myself, opening it from my downloads and C: drive, and even making an exception with my firewall. Any help would be apreciated, thanks.

oh im sorry lol you should be able to load the .ISO file on DEAMON Tools lite which is what i use. double click the iso file and it will load automatically, then double click it again once it is in DTLite and the installer will take it from there. hope that was a little helpful

The only problem I have is that when a second player joins with a ps3 controller, he cant use the equipment screen. Is there a problem with ps3 controllers? EDIT: As RedPanama says, I emulated xbox 360 controller with DS3 tool and it worked perfectly.

i think this version is the Steam version, hence, needing to use a crack to bypass the DRM, etc. When the GOG version appears on here and other sites, then you wont have to install a crack and it will just work

For poor or a standart pc that doesnt have GTX vga or just using old cpu with on board graphic the only choice we had just windows 7. Im using windows 7 while windows 10 is so laggy, running games that smooth in win 7 like cuphead could become lagging like crazy in windows 10, never mind the game, even exploler run so laggy on my pc. So yeah the only way for low old pc to play games these days is to use windows 7.
Speaking of, I finished the game. The DLC is amazing but a bit short.
-Biggest windows data-wise, not due to a bigger internal structure, but the bloatware it comes bundled with (microsoft store, cortana, zunemusic, bingweather)
-Telemetry stared by default that the user has to find out about to google how to turn off
-multiple menu pages accessed through different methods and with different names for the same or similar settings because they haven't overhauled the settings tab since vista
-forced updates that the user has to learn how to turn off, both for convenience and since they can change the telemetry back on and install more bloatware.
About the repairman story: the point was that, like him, you told me to install a better windows without any concrete reason to why I would need it or help me. It's just "safe" advice that quacks use to sound knowledgeable without risking their own image.
I know about compatibility mode. Half the time it doesn't work, and when it does half the programs become buggy messes while running in it. It's not perfect. I don't think that's a problem, mind you.

in the crack of cuphead a virus is detected whereas it does not do it with the other cracks.

any seemingly malicious downloads are instantly
blocked by my browser so i recommend you get some layer of protection
just in case.
open windows security -> virus & threat protection
from there you can either go to protection history, then find and allow the file that was detected or go to manage settings and turn real-time protection off, then extract the files again.
When you click to load the game, it does a the fuzzy loading screen that the game does, freezes for a sec after like 10 seconds, then immediately closes.
Only difference is that mine doesn't give me any error, it just suddenly closes in the same place each time.
If it was an AV thing anyways, it would give some kind of error when loading the game, or more likely it'd try to load something like Steam since the AV generally tends to target the specific cracked files, which end up being the files of course that prevent it from loading the game manager or giving the "You must be logged into Steam to play this game!" type of error.
If it loaded and threw out a message like "This game needs Steam_api.dll to run" or required Steam to run/tried to log you into Steam, or threw out some error message (or WD had a new alert for a "malicious" file), then I'd agree it'd be an AV thing. If the game had some driver error, or it didn't choose to load just fine with the legitimately bought version through Steam, then I'd agree it'd be a driver/lack of preferred minimal requirements thing.
However, since there was no error, no WD ping (and believe me, that annoying program pings everything it doesn't like), and the bought version worked just fine, it means that there was some other issue with the game files themselves...at least with the MegaUp one (since that's the one I use for basically all of my downloads).

if you have a 32 bit operating system with a 64 bit capable core i recommend upgrading your OS or just downloading a 64 bit edition of Linux and dual booting.

1-Make sure the game actually recognizes your controller. (Go to Controlls and assign yours to P1)
2-Load a save or start fresh.
3-Make Mugman join the adventure.
4-Open Settings > Controls. There should be two new options: "Player One" and "Player Two".
5-Switch to "Player Two" (press Z or your assigned button), now you'll see there are no buttons assigned.
6-Assign the buttons :P
*Now, if Mugman can move but CAN'T interact with anything here's what you need to do:
7-Go to your search bar and type %appdata%.
8-Open the "Cuphead" folder.
9-There'll be three files. These are the game's files, open the one where you want to do multiplayer with notepad or something similar (if it has a Search tool it'll be a lot easier).
10-Search for "playerTwo":{"money:". If this number is HIGHER than 9, there's your problem.
11-Change it to whatever number you want AS LONG AS IT'S LOWER THAN 9.
12-Launch the game, load the save you just edited, make P2 join.
13-If everything went right, Mugman should now be able to move and interact with everything.

dont worry about the 3d acceleration since its insanely rare for it to have been disabled (its a very important component in graphics card)

2. select all of them then extract them
3. after you extracted, a folder would appear, enter the folder then click on the .iso file
4. right click on the .iso file then open it with file explorer then double click on the "setup.exe"
5. install the game.
6. in the folder where the files were extracted should be a crack folder named "SKIDROW" or "CODEX" or simply "CRACK" copy all of its content then paste it into the game's directory (if you made a desktop shortcut then just right click it then click "open file location").In case it asks for replacing some files, thats what you have to do.
7. in case the game doesn't save, or it simply doesn't start just run it as administrator only the first time you open the game. (in the gta v's case or other games who cant start without running it as admin, you'll need to run it as administrator everytime).
8. in case of black screen download and install all of these softwares (only 64bit ofc):

If there are any problems, I have no idea how to fix them. All I did was copy the files from igg-games, so these are the igg-games files. I do not take any credit for these cracks, I just know how to bypass the download limit of google chrome.

In short, no I've never had a problem with it.

Now, what's next?
Goes to the place where you installed the game. For example- the mounted file and the exe is in DVD R:, you installed the game in Local Disk E:, put the codex files in Local Disk E. this is an example. Hopefully you understand it

it's actually as simple as this:
-extract the files
-mount the iso (if there is one. windows 8 and above should be able to mount it using windows explorer)
-find a file named setup.exe or something (if you wanna know which one is it, it's the one that has "application" type)
-just install the whole thing (one note. CODEX usually has a tick "copy all contents of CODEX folder into install directory" in the setup. did you see it? i haven't download this game so i don't know. if you see one in the setup, just tick it and you can play it now)
-if you possibly can't find the tick, it's just as simple as :

2.copy the whole thing inside it
3.paste and replace it to your install directory
since i see that it has some Cuphead_data/Plugins folder thing in the comment, open two explorer and see in the install directory if there is one folder called Cuphead_data/Plugins too. copy the things inside the Cuphead_data/Plugins folder from the ISO to the Cuphead_data/Plugins where you install it.
you don't actually installed the "ISO thing" but it works like inserting a CD. after the install, make sure you eject it by right click > eject.
this video is for people using x360ce. do exactly what the video said.
ps. if the game cannot read the controller try doing it a few times
pss. download x360ce 32 bit version first, then extarct it in the cuphead file.

i do suggest that you become familiar with installing cracks to prevent this in the future
1.Take the Codex file from the .iso you opened earlier, you may need to go through winrar again
2.Paste the CODEX file into the actual game file and replace all files
Hopefully this works for you! (Also, did not need to turn off antivirus but you may have to)
don't just copy the stuff in (G:)/CODEX/Cuphead_Data/Plugins/
but actually all the stuff in (G:)/CODEX/
so the exe and so on too.
(Also kill your antivirus/fire wall if it still doesn't work)

i finally learnt to do that thing said in there with the x360ce program, fixed for me. Its a little bit tidious at first but when you learn its easy.
When i installed the cracked game correctly, and i want to run the game, steam opens up with the shopsite of the game.. So i think there is any problem with the steam_api data, or what i did wrong?
