in the directory (open file location on the shortcut and youll find it), there should be a "config.txt". usually you edit this through V3launcher.exe but i think something about the crack makes it not work. So you have to mess with the config yourself and change the controls like that. you can google examples of other peoples config files so you know what you should write down for it. you can also change the windowed/resolution settings and stuff there which was what i needed
after i edited it, i cant save the file, it said "you dont have a permission to open this file, see the owner of the file or administrator to obtain permission" can you help?
that's likely an issue w/ your computer's permissions, especially if you have multiple accounts on your PC. make sure the account you're using on the PC is the main / administrator account, right click and "open file as administrator" may help, but that's just a guess. hope you figure it out :O
Hey, I just wanted to know, does crack have translations in all languages? Because when I start the game in French or Japanese, the warning screens are in the selected language but after them I have an infinite load but in English, the game works perfectly. Andd since i'm french, it's a bit boring
okay, so i have no clue whether or not this is my computers issue, but i'm having problems with audio in fullscreen, it works just fine and everything is up to date, but when i hit "Alt+Enter" to enter full screen my screen refreshes since i'm using an HDMI cable with my tv, and then the game comes back up in full screen, it runs just fine, but there's no audio and when i make the tab small again the audio is gone, if anyone can help it would be appreciated.
You just need to crack this. When you download all the parts you need to extract them all in one folder. Then open disk image file "CODEX" and open "setup" file. In "setup" file select "copy contents CODEX directory to installdir". When you do this, click on "Install" and then on "Finish" when the process will end. Your game should work now. It works for me every time. You can also do it the long way - copy all the files from CODEX folder and paste them to disk image file "CODEX".

just want to help anyone who got "fatal error: code=(blablabla)", try to run the game with high-performance setting, in nvdia you can open "nvidia control panel" on desktop then go to "manage 3d settings" then add the game in "program settings" tab then change the preferred graphics processor there and dont forget to press apply it works for me btw so i want to share this, idk how it works in other gpu, but i think in certain gpu you can just do it by right click the program and select high-performance there, thanks to @Nyaax:disqus
if what you need is just to run the game with high performance setting then you can search on google of how to do it in your graphic processor, i only use nvidia, i dont know about others

The gaem opens up for a second and then closes again. I tried applying the crack, changing the settings to fullscrren or borderless and setting the anti-aliasing to None, but to no avail nothing happens. helpp

Move the contents of the crack folder (probably named CODEX, possibly named crack) on the iso to the location that you installed the game. The overwhelming majority of the time, that is how you apply a crack.
Post a screenshot of the contents of the CODEX folder and the place you installed the game. You're probably just running the wrong exe. Usually cracks have a launcher you run rather than the game exe.
when you first open the app you will find the configuration menu t adjust fullscreen, resolution, and etc. On the last part of the option you will find :Help Type", You just need to press the option and then press the "[QWERTY] Keyboard and mouse".
So I noticed something For whatever reason whenever I try and use the Desktop shortcut it leads me to the steam page. (I did apply crack, though it was called CODEX) Whenever I try other means, it won't load. Like it doesn't say that it crashed or anything like that it just stops loading and closes. One final thing I notice as I looked on was that there were certain files that I didn't have. I don't know if it was because of what extractor I was using (it was Awe Zip) but certain folders weren't there. If I could get some help, would be very much appreciated.

try to download isdone.dll search it on google, after ,put it on your system folder i think system32 or 64 or google it , or check your Hardisk for bad sector

Sorry to bother you guys, I need help! As soon as I try to run the game, the "Danganronpa V3 (...) has stopped working" window pops up. I can only open the launcher on its own, but nothing else. I've got the latest Directx, specs are better than recommended, installed the crack as directed, and ran it as admin. I've also tried re-downloading in case something went wrong there. Nothing else comes to mind for now, I'm a bit of a noob. Sorry! Any ideas?

there is a config.txt file with your actual game (not the shortcut of it), click on it and it'll show it. If you want to change the xbox controls they show you, find the "pad" in the config text file, and change the "pad" to "keyboard".
What if you can't open the config file? Mine opens but shows nothing in it and when I type something in it and try to save it says I don't have administrator access.

You can copy and paste this into your config.txt :) When you're in your monopad, the keys A & E (AZERTY keyboard) won't working apparently. So you have to use Q & D. Also the instructions displayed for your controls will be QWERTY keyboard, I don't think you can change that. That's all I can do.

You can change the input for 's' and 'a' by opening config.txt, then change push_s = key_s and push_a = key_a to push_s = key_a and push_a = key_s I don't know the reason of this error, maybe CODEX wrongly input the controls
I've had SOME issues with the game not acknowledging my input, but it's never really been TOO big a problem. Well, I am having a little bit of trouble with the Argument Armament on chapter 4.
Game works fine, but some parts have poor optimization due to a sh*t PC port. However, there is NO VOICE ACTING during the class trial scenes. There is voice acting for other scenes. This is a bug? I updated my Direct X already and video card drivers. My rig is more than capable of running this game: GTX 1080, 16 GB ram, i7, etc. Need advice. I think its just due to a bad rip of the game. I'm hoping another repack will fix this issue.
Yep, that's a bug alright. ..... I have no useful information on how to fix it however. All I know is it runs perfectly on my shitty laptop 4 GB RAM, 2.6 GHz Dual Core i5 3230m, integrated Intel laptop graphics. No problems other than controls being somewhat broken; Having to click multiple times to advance text or select an option, using Q,E,W,A,S,D and etc will either not move the "selection", or will move it two spaces instead of one. So yeah, broken controls are the only problems, I've had no issues with sound.
I have a controller and my friend doesn't so in the luncher she put "keyboard AZERTY" but the controls in the game are still explained with the controller controls. Is there a way to see with the keyboard controls?
I really need to clear space on my computer so there is a question I would like to ask. If an update were to come out for the game an a file gets uploaded for it, can I still download it and apply it to the game even though I have the .rar files downloaded (Note: I have already downloaded all the 22 parts, mounted the image, and ran the setup/installed the game)? I am trying to clear space on my computer by deleting the .rar files I originally used to get the Disk Image file and by extension the setup so is it okay if I delete those? I won't need them if I needed to apply an update to the crack?

So I just played through the first execution and everything was working perfectly fine until the punishment time and when it went into effect, I had no sound. It was completely mute. I couldn't do anything about it. Has this happened to someone else?? If so how can I fix it so I won't run into the same problem with the next execution?
I had that same problem. However, upon buying the movie for that execution and rewatching it, the sound played just fine. I haven't had an issue like that since and I'm past the third trial.

You seem to be new to this. You should find a folder called Codex which has contents of the crack. Simply copy the contents of that folder to the game directory and the game should work.

You have the latest NET Framework on your window? (Almost current installer need latest NET Framework to run), you can search on google and download it from Microsoft page. The cutscenes are slower than the music so i can't enjoy the them... Like in an execution the execution is getting started and the sound already ended because the video is slower. My friend have the same problem. Does someone know how to fix it?
He means, do you meet the spec requirements to play the game? They're rather high and most computers probably wouldn't be able to run it. To easily check if you can, use "Can you run it"
Your gpu, ram and, cpu, you can find it under my computer > system properties. You might have something incompatible with the game or need to update drivers.
Either tell me your gpu, or if you think you can figure it out yourself, by googling your gpu and "directx 11 compatible" to see if your gpu is directx11 compatible or not. If it isn't then you'd need to get a new gpu to play v3. If it is then you need to update the drivers, and if that still doesn't help then its a glitch Spike Chunsoft are trying to fix, and I can't help you any further.
Installed, or compatible, people on steam, who have the same problem as you, found they have a higher directx version that their gpu isn't compatible with. For example some people had directx11 installed evern though it was incompatible. If your gpu IS compatible with dx12 then it is the other glitch Spike Chunsoft have said they are working on fixing.
I'm able to open up the game, it runs fine no problems there. But once I get to the menu, the selection just's keeps forcing down. I try moving upwards with the keyboard keys but it's like battling a sticky key. Anybody know what's the problem?
Can someone please help? When I extracted the game, all I got is one big iso file and when I clicked on it, it says I have to burn it on an external disc. Is there no separate setup file or is it required to mount it elsewhere?
You need something like poweriso or daemon tool, to go into that iso to then extract the files outside. Once you've done that run the Setup and then find the allocate setup location where it's downloaded the game. Take the codex and extract the files within the codex into the folder where the Setup downloaded stuff.
Probably. Runs on my 2.6 Ghz Dual core, 4 GB RAM, Integrated Intel laptop graphics. Gets a solid 60 FPS too. Well, sometimes the frames drop just a little bit.

Are you trying run game under 4 GB RAM because that memory allocate and also cause by not space on your hdd for virtual memory or disk is bad and going to fail/die so you going to replace it.

Also to add to Mohammad's answer you can always reinstall it if you don't know what to transfer and don't want to risk messing up, and when installing it heck the box that says copy contents of crack folder to game directory. Or you can do that last part manually and not reinstall.
I've downloaded the game, and can save it and everything, but the game's audio is non functional and I have no idea what to do. I have DirectX 12, I don't know if that's the issue. But yeah, I'm stumped. I'm a beginner with this stuff so any help would be appreciated. I followed the tutorial to crack the game, but while it's running, it's got no audio, at all. I think my problem is like @Shiranai Hito (below) but I have no idea how to do the _communredist type stuff.
First, there have been issues with languages other than English. So if your playing with other languages, try switching to English. If your not then to see if it's your DX12 go to the game's install folder. It'll look something like this D:\Games\Danganronpa V3 Killing Harmony_CommonRedist or where ever you installed the game at. One inside the Commonredist folder, go to the Direct X folder. Then go to Jun2010 folder, and open the DXSETUP.exe. From there install it and that should fix it if not then it might be your drivers or your Graphics Card might not be able to handle the game. Hope this helps you.

Run the game as admin. That should allow you to save if not change the game folder permissions to everyone can make changes. That will be after you go to properties, and go to the security tab. As for sound check my reply to Shizukani's post that should fix your problem.

Salut; pour changer la langue tu ouvres le fichier steam_emu avec ton bloc note et tu changes english par french. Mais actuellement tous les gens qui veulent changer en FR se retrouvent avec un écran de chargement sans fin. :/

Les écrans sont disponibles dans toutes les langues. J'ai essayé avec le japonais, et ça m'a fait la même chose. Ecran d'avertissement en japonais, chargement infini.
Everyone hates torrents, but they outlive other download methods. Sure we gotta wait hours based on our internet connection/seeds, but if you take a nap or do something else to keep you busy your game will be ready. Bypassing methods become so tedious overtime especially with alot of parts to download individually.

In order to fix it you need to find config.txt in the same folder as the real .exe and it should have some number like -32000 (or thats what it was for me) you need to change anywhere it has a negative number like that to 0.

Try turning off your firewall and running the setup/install as admin? Only other thing I can think of is corrupted file? So try redownloading it and see if that helps.
I think you're turned on your AV or Firewall, so they blocked crack files, that why you got ISDone.dll problem, try turn off them and install again ;) . It will fix this problem.

When you install the game and mount the iso with Daemon tools, you'll see a folder called CODEX. you copy all the files inside that folder and you put it in the main game's folder.

Bah c'est simple soit Codex font un repack pour une autre version car elle a un dlc ou elle corrige pas mal de bug soit on est baisé dans toute la longueur.
Sound isn´t working for me. No BGM, no voices, no anything else. Anyone with that problem too? Any solution you can come up with? I already checked my Direct version (12), my sound card (IDT high definition codec) and its driver. I also installed the programs in _commonredist. Soundtrack was working when I played it outside the game so I guess the problem is not in the audio files. Sound works fine in other games (and in general in the laptop). EDIT: Never mind, fixed it. It seems you need exactly the Direct X version that comes with the game to run it and it doesn´t accept others. Or something like that, just install everything in _commonredist and pray.
Alright, here's what you do, find your game file in your OS. Then go to the file titled "_communredist", then to "DirectX", then "Jun2010" and the finally find "DXSETUP". Use that last one and install everything, my audio worked after that.
The game is available in french, you know. They said it at the Japan Expo, the demo for the PS4 was in french, and on steam, there is "Japanese, English, French, Chinese"
the "partition_data_win" is the partition that touches the game language. I changed the name of the file to "partition_data_win_fr"; and the game couldn't load nor english, nor french.

If I may ask, what method did you use? I got fed up when trying to direct download that I just torrented it. But when it's a new game like this direct download is a lot faster for me so I'd much rather do it.
nah it's just i click on the "get shareable link" instead of "make a copy" from the right mouse click options when i want to bypassed it, nothing particular. but usually my old method works and the download start to begin when i made a shareable link but the case is different with this game (maybe because the game was new and a tons of ppl are downloading it like crazy, idk)
Well I'm using windows 10 too and the game will finish downloading in an hour so I'll see if it works. In the meantime you can try disabling windows defender during the installation and any other antiviruses. Also try running in compatible mode for windows 8 or 7.
Did you try running the game in Administrator mode? Sometimes when games have trouble saving it means that they're trying to write files to the C drive without proper privileges.
For everyone who is having trouble downloading, I recommend Google Drive links. It says the files are unaccessable right now, but if you put 'open' in the link where the 'uc' is in "https://drive.google.com/uc" you can save the file to your own Google Drive account. Then, make a copy of it in the Drive and download that,
You tried turn off all other programs, AV, firewall,... before start game? (if you still not, try turn off them and start again), I hope it will fixed this problem ;)
Upupupu, the crack is inside the ISO file that's contained in the RAR files, inside a folder called "CODEX". But simply running the installer that comes inside the ISO will give you the option to automatically apply the crack.

Yup you can. You need to take the save data located in the steam userdata and move it to where your danganronpa v3 save would be in your codex file found in the "steam" folder in public documents. It took a bit of searching, but I managed to snag it

It only wait to get from tracker, if some tracker need long time to load, you will cant get it to see, but after you click Ok button, your torrent will connect to DTH (from my torrent client), you will can download it so fast. and you still can see files while donwloading.

Oh, I noticed even with seedboxes and high performance machines, for some reason, seeding just doesn't utilize all bandwidth - like 80% or 90%. I noticed this after awhile. I asked "the experts" and they stated that seeding at high "speeds" is just not what these clients are designed to do. Kinda sucks. =(

Me too, I tried utorrent (from old version to newest version), still same, It always crazy since we have over 200 file need seeding, it cant create .torrent file. Even I paused all other files. I need restart many time >"<... very stupid, it always lost 5-10minutes for this. BTW, I cant find other client better. Window so hard to find better client. On ubuntu, we have many torrent client, it worked very fine.

Je pense que les sous-titres sont bien présents dans cette version mais le crack ne doit pas être compatible. Je télécharge une autre version 3DM sur un autre site.Si elle fonctionne ,je mettrai le crack sur mediafire avec un lien que je rajouterai.

Sometimes required specs are slightly overstated. I've only got a dual core 2.6-3.0 Ghz processor and 4 GB of RAM, and, whilst it was only the demo, I ran it just fine. So I'm assuming the full game shouldn't be much more demanding. Also running on crappy integrated laptop graphics, sooo..

For whatever reason whenever I try and use the Desktop shortcut it leads me to the steam page. (I did apply crack, though it was called CODEX)
Whenever I try other means, it won't load. Like it doesn't say that it crashed or anything like that it just stops loading and closes.
One final thing I notice as I looked on was that there were certain files that I didn't have. I don't know if it was because of what extractor I was using (it was Awe Zip) but certain folders weren't there.
If I could get some help, would be very much appreciated.

This are my game controls, i wanted to post them if someone also had trouble with them. For the F1,F2 and F3 buttons if you have anything on them like for sound or screen light press the FN button first then the one you want to use
closed and reopened it a few tiiiiimes....

It won't change back the controls. You can copy and paste this into your config.txt :)
When you're in your monopad, the keys A & E (AZERTY keyboard) won't working apparently. So you have to use Q & D. Also the instructions displayed for your controls will be QWERTY keyboard, I don't think you can change that. That's all I can do.
I NEARLY got it by running the launcher as admin but the game is really slow and often freezes ;w;
[EDIT: I'm okay now it's not anymore laggy for people who wanted it you have to put keyboard_fr in the config text <3]

I updated my Direct X already and video card drivers. My rig is more than capable of running this game: GTX 1080, 16 GB ram, i7, etc.
Need advice. I think its just due to a bad rip of the game. I'm hoping another repack will fix this issue.

All I know is it runs perfectly on my shitty laptop 4 GB RAM, 2.6 GHz Dual Core i5 3230m, integrated Intel laptop graphics.
No problems other than controls being somewhat broken; Having to click multiple times to advance text or select an option, using Q,E,W,A,S,D and etc will either not move the "selection", or will move it two spaces instead of one. So yeah, broken controls are the only problems, I've had no issues with sound.

When I extracted the game, all I got is one big iso file and when I clicked on it, it says I have to burn it on an external disc. Is there no separate setup file or is it required to mount it elsewhere?

you copy all the files inside that folder and you put it in the main game's folder.
I think this should help you. It worked for me. Copy the "SAVE-DATA-DEMO00" file from your steam folder C:\Games\Steam\userdata\40454810\567640\remote
the number "40454810" should be different for you.
Then paste the file into SystemDrive\Users\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\567640
