you have probably downloaded the site's ad file, click once until you get the "real file", which is usually large (instead of just a few kb).
And if you downloaded the "real file", it's not a vírus. The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code malware! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a vírus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)
im going to download this today , its the 21st june 2019, is this the latest version? , simply download it from the links provided or do i have to update it??

Sorry for such a late reply,It crashed to desktop after the second message,But before hand was completely fine,no crashes worked fine until 2 days ago when i posted the message.Also found out that the first message would change with the characters name,"Trying to load mission from file Galaxy 1\Characters(insert last and first name of character).dat but it doesn't exist" Also with a couple people it loaded fine so i think that some names are not in the files but are being used somehow. Hope this helps loving the game when it works Update:When loading i went into the files and made sure that the name was in the "Forenames.txt" and "Surnames.txt",as long as the names in there it works not sure if inserting it will work,will update as i fine out
The game does have a procedural engine so it is entirely possible, I'v had no issues with mine like this since the new update, but i do remember the last version i had downloaded would ctd occasionally and when that happened nine times out of ten it would corrupt the data of whichever character i was currently on, i would be able to use them for combat but could not go on missions with them and usually had to retire them to free up a character slot and start over
Yeah its annoying because sometimes it works and i think its what i have changed but its just random on who works,i just keep going though until i get someone who works.Last thing i would like to try is replacing the "Forenames.txt" and "Surnames.txt" but need someone who is willing to share them to me.All though i doubt this will work either

Not entirely true, if a laptop has a really strong processor it can make up for lack of ram and large ram quantities can sometimes make up for weaker processors, the stats published on steam are "optimal running speed" or modern fps expectations which as of q1 this year is 100fps, my system has a higher power processor but less than "required" ram, and I'm able to run this game at a moderate 40-50fps, so a bit laggy but it runs, just not as smoothly as the developer intended it to run, so steam minimums are indeed accurate, but not for the reasons you'd assume
there is already a dev forum post on steam about these types of issues. it only happens when a graphics driver or graphics card is out of date. make sure you install the latest drivers and software.
Hmmm I don't like that we can get shot down with just one bullet... (reminds me of the first Rogue Spear games...) It means that every mission has to be precisely accomplished in a perfect way... No mistakes allowed. Can we get armors later in game so that we can get hit a few times and not die? Also, when an "enemy" brings your body back and eject you... it takes so long! It means that if you did just one little mistake, you can't restart your mission right away? You have to redo this whole "minigame" of catching yourself in space and stuff? Wow... Not a fan of the top-down view, but they won't change this, obviously. Nice concept anyway... But not for me, I guess.😟
you can hold F to speed the game up. the only "missions" you can restart right away are "challange" missions. However main game missions are made to be challanging so you think before you take action in-game.

The game does work, It does start but then it automatically turns off. I guess since its after august 30 the end of the testing so something in the code turns it off? Thats my guess.

I tried opening it from launcher and heatsignature.exe but didn't work.
