Okay about the part where the game freeze everytime you save or load, I found a way to temporarily deal with it. After you save or load the game, you can't click on anything else. Soo, just press the desktop button on your keyboard and click close, there's a tiny windows pop up on the game and just press no. After that the game works just fine, but sometimes the game just closed without the little window pop up. Hopefully this help a little, yes it can get tedious. But welp lemme know if anyone know how to fix this issue
Pretty sure the freezing issues will always be there. As far as I know, there is no fix. Your best bet in order to play this game well (and possibly many other old vn like this one) would be to install a virtual machine running windows xp. I did that and installed the game there (with jp local and everything) and I can play it without issues. To be honest I tried that method but it got way too tedious and I preferred to just install the Virtual Machine and it saved me a lot of frustation xd
For Windows 10 : This is the instructions for Windows 10. Remember, before all this, be sure your system locale is set to Japanese. Step 1 : You need to download Daemon Tools Lite. Install it. Step 2 : Open the file that you downloaded from IGG. There you will see 3 files with the same names " togainu ". Now, go to Daemon Tools, click on Mount and Mount the " .cue " file. Once you have mounted it, at the corner of your computer will pop up " Choose what to do with ,,, " Click that, now click on the first option Run install.exe. A small window will pop up showing Game Install, DirectX Install. Click on Game Install, wait for it's download and click next next next. This is basically installing the game into your Program Files. Step 3 : Now go back to the file with the same triplet names. Click on TNC English Pack and double click into Step 1 to download the patch and do the same for Step 2. For Step 3 however you will copy that script.pak Step 4 : Go to Program Files (x86) > NitroplusCHiRAL > Japanese Letters > In here you will see the same identical script.pak file. Now just copy there and replace it. Thank you so much for these instructions! I followed all the steps precisely, but unfortunately I don't think the game can be played in fullscreen, and the configurations are in japanese, so I can't really work with them.

Unfortunately, even if we follow your instructions to the letter the game still hangs/freezes when you save/load, which renders it unplayable unless you go through the entire thing in one sitting. I remember looking through different forums for help but I couldn't find a solution that worked. (Yes, I tried changing compatibility mode and fiddling with the icon and preview in task bar, nothing worked). This is one of those games that is better off being played in older systems because in Win10 it is a pain in the butt. Actually, I think the devs released a version specifically for Win10 but the issue is that it required being translated all over from the start... and there were none available last time I checked.
Please help me.I downloaded the file drom mega,co,nz and extracted the file already. Iran the 2 file in step 1 and 2 as administrator, but I still don't see the game. I have no idea what to do. The instructions just tell me to run the game, but I can't find the application to even click....
For those getting the "disk file is corrupt" message, you need a virtual drive program to open the img file. What this does is treat the file as if it were physical installation disk. I installed the game, and i downloaded the no-DVD.And it works.But when i try to save/load or actually use the menu(in-game, right click), it just freezes.I have windows 10.I tried to do the thing when you right click on the little tab of the game in the taskbar (sorry for bad english) and also to uncheck the edit the description of the save in the config menu.Pls help.
