if someone have the REM error first extract the iso content in some folder, then change the name of the DARKSiDERS.bin to DARKSiDERS.rar, extract them in the folder where they want the game to be and put the crack, with that it would have to work
Use the smartSteamEmu crack for save (look for a tutorial if you don't know how to make it work) and if the game crash at the start download wmp from the windows page (if you don't have) and erase external codecs
I'm a bit late to the party, but yeah we can't access the options menu. It's not too bad and the game is still playable, but... I'm conflicted about this game. I think it's the most complex KOF of the entire series... to the point that it's not even enjoyable anymore... There's like 4 different jumps.. really? KOF 98 and 2002 (Steam versions) are definitely worth it though. This one doesn't do much better than the old games. And the mix of 2D sprites with HD backgrounds seem weird... Edit: guys, apparently we need to use SmartSteamEmu so that the options will work and the game will save... Unfortunately, the version IGG uploaded isn't compatible with SmartSteamEmu for some reason... So I had to get the so-called "clean" Steam files from another website, and then added and configured SmartSteamEmu myself (really easy, it's done in 2 seconds) Update: I tried to make my own pre-configured SSE, which should work on any computer, hopefully, so give it a try! https://yadi.sk/d/2rvFx3m43... Just drag and drop in the main folder of the game, double-click on SSElauncher.exe, and then "the King of Fighters XIII". This game is GREAT. But it's also really very, veeeeeery complex. You want to graft some extra thumbs to your hands to be able to play properly. Definitely, if you want to "relax", the old games are better. But once you learn how to master it, KOF XIII is one of the most satisfying of the whole series. I prefer the pixel art and overall characters style of KOF 96 or 98(and music too!), but I think the gameplay of this one might be even richer.
i would rather play this than that awful 14 crap and the "only girls edition" who is not a kof at all(the mechanics are totally changed) very dissapointed of snk to stay in 3d and even waste their time with that shtty mobile it would be great if they go back to this type of animation and improve it in the next game
It's too bad that I didn't like too much the new characters of Street Fighter III, because the animations were so incredible... Look at this... 2D really reached its ultimate peak in the late 90s. It was all downhill from there... Even the best recent 2D indie games don't have such animations.(I can't find any example, really)
the problem was that they used the same sprites over and over for years and people started to get sick of them but kof 13 was an amazing improvement of the previous titles and snk fucked up in 14 by moving to 3d and even making worse 3d models with that garbage mobile game theres even some M.U.G.E.N kof games who surpass kof 2001 um and make 14 like a total dogshit

I even skipped the recent Samurai Shodown. The only recent 3D fighting games I have are Street Fighter V and Dragon Ball Fighter Z. (but I still prefer the old 2D Street Fighter games) Sometimes, I have an impossible dream about a huge comeback of SNK with a new console, which would have ONLY 2D Arcade games. lol (also SEGA...) But yeah yeah, I know, some people might tell me "what for? You might as well play the old games." And maybe they're right... There are so many choices among old games that maybe I don't even need new games anymore anyway. lol I guess such a console would be a total commercial failure, anyway. Kids only want 3D, nowadays...
i played the new samurai shodown a few months ago and honestly didnt like it, i thought the fatalities would be again brutal as 5 but they are a joke SFV dont mentioned it, even 4 and SFXTK are better than that garbage Z fighters its fine but i uninstall it cuz every update they update denuvo and the scene groups are no longer interested to crack it but probably i would uninstall it anyway they are adding too much reskinned gokus and now it looks like a mugen game and nah forget about snk those punks already sold their asses to china they will keep making more 3d bullshit, it would be a miracle if they go back to use sprites

Cos this version will NEVER work with SmartSteamEmu, and saves will never work either. Yes, I mounted the file (using Virtual Clone Drive) and get this error as soon as I click on the installer. Downloaded from Google Drive links if that means anything.
