You should extract only file 1 and it will automatically extract the other related files. Then if there was any other set ups do them then enjoy the game :)

Having this weird problem. Installed and extracted everything. It does open the game, except that it's only a black screen and opens Steam along with it. After a few seconds the game just closes by itself. Is there a way to fix it?
It sounds like everything wasn't copied over correctly. That is really the only thing I can say. Make sure the directories are the exact same cause every time this gets updated with a new episode it changes.

Google Drive seems to have a limit on copying files of bigger sizes every 24hrs as I've encountered this many times with games that have a lot of parts.
I will try to help you. To download the 3 and play it first you need to have the previous ones. I played them without problems, that I knew, there is no fault. Only when the EP1 first came out in September, it was fixed in a matter of hours. You are the best!

Could someone please explain how to properly import your old saves? I've copied my old saves to the new save folder, but nothing changes and it still asks me to play Episode 1 first.
Just a quick description of what I did: So I rescued my old Saves folder from \AppData\LocalLow\Square Enix\Life is Strange_ Before the Storm\Saves. It contains a folder called "76561198103713599" and one called "Preferences". Then I installed Episode 2 and pasted the "76561198103713599" folder into \AppData\LocalLow\Square Enix\Life is Strange_ Before the Storm\Saves. So, now my Saves folder has a folder called "76561198103713599" (old saves) and "76561197960267366" (new saves). (When I uninstalled and re-installed to give it another try, the 99 folder was already in there for some reason...) Do I have to delete the new saves folder? Do I have to rename one of the folders? I've tried deleting the new saves folder and renaming the old saves folder to something suggested in the comments, but nothing helps. :(
What about now? The full game is out, and I only finished until the episode 2, and I started the game just to visit where i was, then it doesent even recognised my saves from the '66' folder too... its so annoying. -.-
1 = open steam 2 = add a game 3 = add a non-steam game 4 = search a game (life is strange before the storm) And done,so you open the game on the library on steam
for anyone who got trouble with the save files: If you have the old save files you need to put them into the \AppData\LocalLow\Square Enix\Life is Strange_ Before the Storm\Saves THEN in the Saves folder you will have your saves but you need to rename that folder to "76561197960267366" and then the game can read the data from your old saves. now you can play ep2 ... it got me neary rage uninstall but finally I managed to understand whats the solution.

Well, If you have the same problem as I had before that the game dont see your save files I browsed the comments under here, and for the 1mil tryes I finally figured it out.:D So:
Type %appdata% in the windows search,
After you first launched the game the game will create this pathway, and find this folder: \AppData\LocalLow\Square Enix\Life is Strange_ Before the Storm\Saves
delete everything in the Saves folder, and copy there your old save file. (that is a folder named with some numbers, it was in the Saves folder before, everyone has different numbers) If you dont have your own backup download someone else's.
Rename that folder to this: "76561197960267366"
Idk why but then the game will let you play the ep2, and recognise your progress in the game. :D (sorry if my english is not quite right, but I hope you can follow me.)

I have the exact same problem and I got a theory. Back in the day, when Ep1 got released, we got a version which crashed at the end of the episode and basically didnt let us through the credits and the real ending moments where different characters see the wildfire. In the end because of this the episode might not be considered as a FINISHED chapter which means even if we have the data for ep2, we didnt unlock it. If you played the same version which crashed out at the credits, the theory might be correct, if not, I have no idea whats the reason. If we're correct, the only thing we need is the save files and maybe the profile folder?idk from others, preventing us to play the game again from ep1.
We're just waiting a hero, who links a download link with all the savegame files needed to play ep2, cause ep 1 still stucks at the credits even now. For me actually

Before the Storm uses Denuvo so it may take a few days for a crack to come out. Episode 1's crack had a lot of problems too, so it may take even longer for a fully-playable Episode 2 crack to be released.
Downloaded from google drive extracts a folder with the name of the game no disc or image to mount, inside the folder there is a .exe of the game how you crack this if there is no crack inside the .rar files or even a disc image. When you open the exe opens steam app

when you install it just check the box that says copy CODEX content to game folder. the game is working for me except for one glitch where the game freezes and that's because of my hardware.
game still freezing but this time way earlier than before in the barn when you hit the two skeevy guys. set the settings to low and it worked but then it freezes again in the school drama
Good practice to install your games in a manually created folder for just games, for example: C:Games/Witcher 3 as sometimes installing games in Windows made directories like Program Files (x86) causes issues and may very well be your problem.

Well i re-downloaded and I installed the game and playing on hella high like always. But as soon as i press the look button at the fence the game freezes on the fence and i can't do a thing. Is anybody facing this problem too?
i just like to explore everything in the game and it freezes in this version if i try to interact with some stuff so i went back to playing with the version of September 3 crack and it's running smoothly only froze once but after a relaunch everything is fine. I hope it gets fixed when episode 2 is released

There is no other crack than steam006 and v3 (crack in this site) is the lastest one and he said hes not gonna work on crack anymore (07.09.17) Only problem is , there is a blackscreen at ending cutscene well you can watch it at youtube its 2 min or something and really nothing important anyway so its all good definitely not worth waiting for another crack. Well i did plug my ps3 controller later, but it worked only like 3 sec. In the menu, and then it was no longer recognized as a device by the game (stop working at all)

Is the black screen at the end literally where the first episode is MEANT to finish? I have played through the first episode and got to the part where it just cuts to black and I have to Altt+f4... Hey man, This was better. But it only played the audio from the end FMV, still black screen. Then the credits did roll for once. But then also the Episode 2 intro FMV had no video either. I definitely put the folders in right dir's. This is strange (ironically)...

Only cos by that point everyone knew about the 3 parts of Before The Storm this tweet was 24th August... Can't find the original at mo. But it seems highly unlikely that they mean't Ep2, The giveaway for me is where they mention "The original Life Is Strange" team working on the new game...The original was developed by Don't Nod, Before The Storm is developed by Deck Nine, different company. So sounds like Don't Nod are working on the upcoming LIS 2 to me! :-)
it cant be a sequel since the players already made their final choice whether to save Arcadia Bay or Chloe... If your guess is correct, this could possibly be a fresh new start for the game without the original characters? e.g Chloe Price or Max Caulfield?
That's what I'm thinking yeah. To be honest I was very dubious as to how they were going to pull off BTS after the first game, before I found out it was a prequel, I was just thinking "If you're Max again how can you rewind time yet?" and stuff, but it shows you how many directions this series can be taken in. I think their best feature is the whole experience, the music, the emotions. I could see them focusing on different characters.
But then to me if they took away the original characters i'm gonna be depressed for a few days... This might seem strange but the original characters are pretty much a "family" to me now i can't bear seeing them gone from the game, but yeah you are correct the main aspect of the game is the character depth and the ambient soundtrack which makes the game so different from others, oh and also the fact that it makes people cry almost all the time in emotional scenes
I know how you feel. I'm hoping they keep original characters tho, it'd feel less like it's part of the series to me. Even tho Max isn't in this game, I still feel she's "somewhere" in the game....still part of the story. And yeah, if you don't get teary at some of the emotional parts then you have no soul lol
Once I finished the game i just stop thinking about it, it took me 3 months to leave a faint reminder of how good it was but once you play it, you can never really totally stop thinking about it since i don't know about you but it affected me on such a deep level...

I lost my Dad so I knew how Chloe felt, my Brother was born disabled in a wheelchair so I sort of knew how Max felt when Chloe was in the chair, loads of aspects just made sense to me....Although I can honestly say I've never been drugged and photographed by a pervy photography teacher lol
Yeah me too. He honestly seemed like a decent guy, and Nathan with all his dodgy deals. I thought it HAD to be him...Or David seemed like a bit of a dick until the end, with all that surveillance equipment in the house. That's why I had trouble as Chloe trying not to like him in the new one. I know he's a nice guy REALLY!
In the new one i actually felt kind of sorry for David, One question did you kind of tear up when Nathan apologises to Max, the music fitted the scene so well that i kinda felt numb for a second
Definitely. He acted like such an untouchable most of the way through. Then on the phone he sounds like a scared little boy, his World has come crashing down on his head. The music made it sound so epic as well, really did fit.
If Nathan was nice at the start, he would probably be one of my favourite characters in the game next to Max and Chloe since he's quite good looking also :/

I think if you don't warn her or she doesn't believe you when you try, she doesn't appear in the Dark Room and is believed to be safe. Whereas if you do warn her she naively goes to Jefferson for help which leads to her being drugged and killed while Max is inside the photo.

Lol wow, yall are all having so much trouble trying to play this game from this website? My only problem I've had since downloading yesterday was the fact that I can't play at any Resolution past 1080P, it won't save. Other than that I haven't noticed anything.
I was wondering this too!!! I know there's a "Profile" folder somewhere in the game's installation folder and it says "Saves" and "BackupSaves" or something but there's NO SAVES in there lol! I also tried checking in my C drive and there's nothing I could find either. I thought for sure it would have been in there inside the "My Games > Square Enix" folder but nada! Nothing.
After 3 updates , doesn't seems that the controller gamepad prob is fixed . Strange according to me it is one of the most important things to fix cause otherwise the game is running perfectly with few minor glitches No prob at all with sounds prob or crashing . Only thegamepad not working . It is just responding when i first click ok at the main title screen then Nothing anymore add to use keyboard and mouse . .

Extract the file in C:, then, put the crack in the folder. there are 2 folders, pay attention where you put the crack. Its will substitute 7 archives if you put in the correct folder.
I always extracted it on Desktop and got me an error, I just extracted it on C now and it didn't get any errors, Just gotta download the crack now. I'll get back to you when its downloaded. I just copyed the application file into where is the original file, it owerwrite it, and then from the crack folder I copied that 2 folder called Mono and Plugins into the "Life is Strange - Before the Storm_Data" folder. And then the application can managed to open the game, and play.

dude, your doing it wrong. Open the crack folder, copy everything there and paste it on the game folder. It will ask if you want to replace, click yes and THEN you can open the .exe archive.
That's what I did. Although when i tried to extract the game folder first to a folder, keeps getting me an error. "C:\Users\antoine\Downloads\Life.is.Strange.Before.the.Storm.Deluxe.Edition.Ep.1.Full.Unlocked.part5.rar: You need to start extraction from a previous volume to unpack Life.is.Strange.Before.the.Storm.Deluxe.Edition.Ep.1.Full.Unlocked\Life is Strange - Before the Storm\Life is Strange - Before the Storm_Data\StreamingAssets\Bundles\e1_s09_loc.bytes" But it still has all the stuff inside.
Did you extract correctly the game? Click with the right button in the first part of the .rar and extract it. If it still doesn't work your files are curupted, download the torrent version and i'm sure it will work.
In Video Settings - Effects Quality is stuck at High . Even after i change it to 'Hella High' and 'Apply' , it reverts to 'High' everytime. Any solutions ? i'm using the latest crack - Update 2

Your antivirus program probably deleted the mono.dll. Try uninstalling and re-installing with your anti-virus disabled and don't install in the Program Files folder.

Hmm... I think the problem is there is no DLC code or whatnot in the ALI312 thingy in the plugin folder. Looks like the guy haven't add the proper line to that ALI312
Change the name of the folders where the main game is to shorter ones. The directories before the game are too long or there are too many. That fixed mine and the game is working perfectly now.
Ok, I just managed to fix it. The problem is that the directory is too long, change the folder names to shorter ones or just move it where you don't have that many folders with long names. For example mine went from: 'D:\Equipo\Descargas\Life.is.Strange.Before.the.Storm.Deluxe.Edition.Ep.1.Full.Unlocked\Life.is.Strange.Before.the.Storm.Deluxe.Edition.Ep.1.Full.Unlocked\Life is Strange - Before the Storm\Life is Strange - Before the Storm.exe' To: 'D:\Equipo\Descargas\Life is Strange Before the Storm\Life is Strange - Before the Storm.exe' And that opened the game perfectly. You have to copy the crack well, yes it will create as in 2 folders but if it works correctly! Try to erase and reinstall it well, maybe, fail copying the crack!

People have different problems. Just wait for the full crack. For example for me the game doesn't even open, yours does but it doesn't have sound and for other people the lips don't move or the player can't move.

Btw, everyone: the crack is playable with some minor adjustments. Change WASD to the arrow keys and hold SHIFT when you press an arrow key. The journal and the fonts are very buggy and no one's lips move/the facial expressions are odd, but you can still play the game! Note: I can't get past the first checkpoint with this method, but let me know if any of you have better luck.

The game has DENUVO, which will make it harder to crack, but recently, DENUVO games have been easier to crack than ever, Tekken 7 was cracked in 4 days even though it had DENUVO...
We can only hope. But I've read that several Denuvo games took months to crack, were uncrackable, or that cracks for them don't last because of Denuvo's updates. It looks like they're really hampering piracy.

So I rescued my old Saves folder from \AppData\LocalLow\Square Enix\Life is Strange_ Before the Storm\Saves. It contains a folder called "76561198103713599" and one called "Preferences".
Then I installed Episode 2 and pasted the "76561198103713599" folder into \AppData\LocalLow\Square Enix\Life is Strange_ Before the Storm\Saves.
So, now my Saves folder has a folder called "76561198103713599" (old saves) and "76561197960267366" (new saves). (When I uninstalled and re-installed to give it another try, the 99 folder was already in there for some reason...)
Do I have to delete the new saves folder? Do I have to rename one of the folders? I've tried deleting the new saves folder and renaming the old saves folder to something suggested in the comments, but nothing helps. :(

And done,so you open the game on the library on steam
If you have the old save files you need to put them into the \AppData\LocalLow\Square Enix\Life is Strange_ Before the Storm\Saves
THEN in the Saves folder you will have your saves but you need to rename that folder to "76561197960267366" and then the game can read the data from your old saves.
now you can play ep2 ... it got me neary rage uninstall but finally I managed to understand whats the solution.
But if you lost yourself someone posted here a save file down below

If you dont have your own backup download someone else's.

Fernbus simulator released the 2016-08-25. No scene group interested and in fact the game is not cracked

1- The crack is not totally ready, it's actually PARTIALLY
2- The game is running on Unity (this means Native.dll is protected instead of .exe), so that's why this came kinda quick, even if it's not fully working yet.
