There are a lot of choices here in the game. Stay committed to the ones you choose to connect. The first few times I played through wound up with bad endings (one dragon commits suicide, another one gets surprised by a bomb, etc.) Almost all the dragons are datable. Once you discover the underlying story, there is the exciting chase to find the one good ending.
