i just played the game, since we are in 2022 right now, The animations is pretty janky, the dialogs is very messed up, the sounds are hardly fitting, the game doesnt picture how fucked up the story is, and getting the lag problem fixed isnt worth the hassle. i am not very disappointed honestly, for a game that came from the 2006 age Thats quite impressive, But yea, i would say thats a nice game for old schoolers or archives who would like to see what caused this game to be banned in multiple countries due to controversy.

The game lags for me, so I went and pasted the d3d9.dll file into SysWOW64, but after I did that the game just CTD every time I start it up. Is there a fix for this? My settings are on default.
So, I downloaded rapelay, unzipped with winrar, mounted .iso file with daemon tool, received an autorun prompt, installed rapelay, installed directx9, started rapelay english, it crashed. anyone got any idea on how to solve this? Refer to my guide if its not running well, its starts with "IMPORTANT!". If you just don't like the game what you wanna do is either just delete the folder named rapelay or change your system locale to japanese and then uninstall through the control panel or on windows 10, throught the settings (Just type "add or remove program" and find rapelay, right click and uninstall.
What happens exactly?! If the file won't delete try booting in safe mode (go into "system confguration", click boot and then under boot options select safe boot, click ok and it will ask you to restart, click yes) after doing this try again to delete. Alternatively, change your system locale to japanese (in additional date, time and region settings) you can look up how to do this if you need to. Then go into "add or remove programs" in your settings or control panel, right click and click uninstall. If neither of these methods work then I'll try and find another solution.

I'm not sure, the only way I've ever got it to work is by changing the d3d9 file in the windows sysWOW64 folder, deactivating the old one by renaming, then substituting the one that I posted. I don't think having it near to the .exe helps but I'm not certain.
No I think the fastest and best is to go to explorer c:\ or where windows is installed then properties then sharing and then advance sharing then add c or where windows is installed then advance sharing then permission than add everyone the default for windows and then go to security and click all the allowed and restard but be very careful u can easily locked yourself out of your own H\Drive even if u put it in another computer it will still format it. The 1st time it took me a day to unlock the drive again otherwise u going to loose everything. Didn’t know why windows made such a stupid security measure.
You need to change the permission of the file since it currently belongs to trustedinstaller which doesn't give you full permission. Right click the file, go into properties, security and then press chage permissions. I think you need to change permission to either user or admin to give yourself permission, if you can't figure it out either look it up on the internet or ask and I'll try and walk you through in more detail, just mess around in the permission settings till it works.
If you are talking about the uncanny look/movement of the characters you need to remember its a game from more than a decade ago with 3d ''anatomically correct bodies''.
You may not be able to install or run the game without something to change your system locale: I recommend this "http://pooi.moe/Locale-Emulator/" once you've set it up you just have to right click and click "Run in Japanese as administrator". As for the game running badly I can actually fix that as I had the same problem, its actually a problem with one of the windows updates which makes the 3D animations of the game lag, all you need to do to fix is change one of the d3d9.dll file in your windows/sysWOW64 folder with an older one, I can drop the file you need and walk you through it if you want.
The taboo factor probably does it but this game is really old, I don't think spywin10 would run this for everyone. Although its from the same creators of honey select so you know they improved alot.
