Is there a guide on what todo once you download all 3 parts an the like? i having trouble figuring it out-, apologies if this isnt the right place to ask but idk where else.
My game keeps on giving me a black screen, like if I alt tab out and back in it plays all the sounds but none of the game shows, like all I can see is a black screen, if any of you have a solution, please help, thanks

What a long way this game has come i found an old copy on an external hard drive it was before the long dark had lights and stuff this game really has come a long way! It's really great to see the huge difference how much the dev's put into this game.
Downloaded all the parts and update versions. Put them in a new folder. Had to rename all updated versions after "Episode.3" with a hyphen "-" instead of the period "." then unzipped with 7-zip ( right click on zip file plaza-the.long.dark.wintermute.episode.3 ). doubled clicked setup application {not iso file}. Changed directory to C:\ , checked the box for copy contents of plaza directory to installdir. click install, click finish, Then play as admin.

So I tried everything myself. The download, extract and the installation is working perfectly! The game is working well. I downloaded the game from google drive and the updates from MegaUp. So have fun with this game!

In my opinion there are only seperate updates. So on igg-games you need to download all updates and install successively. (So first update V1.61 and so on)

Issue on start with being stuck on disclaimer screen. It asks for you to "press any key" but that doesn't work. Uninstalled and tried again, but to no avail. Update 1.46 failed at level208.cdx_newfile and gave an error message saying that there was a problem unpacking module ISxDeltaExtract. It then rolled back the changes, finishing with "error!" Started game, and the problem persists. Retrying update results in the first half of the hash sums failing. Any suggestions? I had downloaded the game with the PLAZA folder, then linearly downloaded updates 1.42 to 1.46, downloading PLAZA folder each time. Also, is there no 1.44 update? EDIT: Ran through the updating process again, this time testing the program between updates. All updates work except 1.46, which resulted in the same error.
It's been a while ago, and I haven't played since, but I performed the required steps twice, first to the best of my knowledge, then to the letter. Both times, I copied the Crack file. It's not a large issue for me, personally, but the sooner it's fixes, the sooner everyone is happy.
You can play without the update but u might met some glitch or bug, that what update meant for, update is for fixing the problem, improve the game or maybe they add more new thing to it too.

Yeah, I'm also having trouble to updating to V1.46 I tried downloading the update from skidrow and it also stopped in the middle of the installation and crashed. There's seems to be a problem extracting a file or something.

The 1.43 version Google link says "this file is infected with a virus. Only the owner may download infected files." If you're having this issue, try MegaUp. It worked fine for me. Had trouble installing last time I tried getting this game. Hopefully with the new updates it works properly. I've been doing this for roughly 15 years at this point, so unless the installation process recently changed it shouldn't be giving me this much trouble.

Yes. Ram might cause a few issues. But generally, core2quad with 8gb RAM and a good graphics card can run just about any new games. Its what my specs used to be. GTx960 4GB with a core2quad played most games on max settings above 60fps.

I actually bought the game 2 years ago. I'm just here to read comments lol. But there's some valid criticism here; the game's Story Mode is pretty trash. Terrible writing, emotionless voice acting, tons of fetch quest, boring storyline. Survival mode is definitely fun though. I just wish they kept all the promises on their roadmap before they released this unfinished game.

they raised the price on this game and promised this "story" experience. guess what it is broken, that is where all these patches come in, to fix the "story mode". read the changelog and goto the steam forums. i don't want to pay $40+ for a game that will stop me from playing the story (ie. old lady in the cabin). i want ot experience the whole game not have to accept the fact that there is bugs in a game.
the sandbox was finished and it seems the story mode is not so i wouldn't call that "FINISHED". all i said is maybe they should have waited until they took it out of EA before they started throwing fixes every damn day and calling it "1.0".

I worked it out! You only need 1.01 and 1.05, do not install 1.02 & 1.03! Update 1.05 has update 1.02 & 1.03 included. You will of course need to do a fresh install for this to work.
Hey i can't install patch 1.05 when it start applypatch.exe it says "problem renaming file" and "got admin rights but something failed anyway" please help, i had no problems with 1.01-1.03.

saves are kept in different folder you can delete the game folder and reinstall up to patch 1.03. Just don't install patch 1.05 it is the broken one. Hopefully IGG can check it.
