For all of those asking about steam opening when you launch the game, whenever you mount the game to run the setup .exe, there should also be a crack folder along with it. After running the setup, go to where you installed it, then open another File Explorer application, go to where the setup.exe file is, open the crack folder, and drag its contents to the main file where you installed the game. If it asks you to replace files, you click, yes replace all, this will apply the crack and will spoof steam into thinking its an owned copy.
Íf you have the virtual drive Disk open there is one file named "Crack" or smthg and one with the Name Setup.exe after you installed the Setup just copy the "Crack" folder to new Game directions you installed. There are Data like steam.dll and so on. You have to replace them but this does the Pc automatic. but when you have Problems give me your discord
This has to do with the amount of available storage. The disk that you have the files on doesn't have enough space free to perform the action. Consider freeing space by cleaning cache, removing apps or getting more storage devices.

Did you download an exe file? When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something? If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.
uninstall the old version and then install the new one.
if the your saves aren't there, go to the place where the game is saving (it should be called "Red dot games" or something) if there are some numbers, copy your save files to the one thats new. its same for every modern game, befor the save files where in the main game catalog such as Rfactor. Step 1- Install the game Step 2- head over to the codex or crack folder that should be located in the parts you just downloaded Step 3- Open that folder and copy everything and paste it into the game directory Step 4- enjoy
After you download all the parts and extract all the parts, there will be a folder called codex or crack or etc close to the folder that contains the game installer. All you need to do is install the game first then comeback to folder that contains the extract parts, copy all the crack files inside the crack folder then paste it in the main game folder. Done. did you put crack files in the game catalog FROM the crack file or put the whole crack file in the game catalog? and if you took the crack files out of the crack folder did you press "REPLACE" and fo you have steam installed? if yes does it opens it? if not go to task menager and see how much ram is in use, try closing things you dont need like the internet browser or steam if installed
the game saves are in the app data catalog not in the game files so if you want to update it for example download the new ver. installer take out the game files from the place it is installed, install the new version see if the save work and delete the old one and the installer

Disable Windows Defender and any other antivirus for this game. It deletes or quarantines steam api dll when you don't. That's why it doesn't work. Though, this whole thing is definitely safe, right?
If you're getting problems with the game opening and closing, your antivirus probably quarantined your STEAM_API .dll. Check it, restore it, and exclude it, and the game will start correctly.
Did you just put the Codex folder in, or did you drag all files in from the Codex directory into the main folder? If you just threw Codex in, you need to drag the files from the Codex directory into the main folder. If you've done it correctly, you should get at least 1 or 2 "Would you like to replace these files?" Which you would say yes to.
Yo folks, does anyone know why half the DLCs are listed as not installed? It kinda bugs me out that I cant use those sweet V12 and W12 engines... You can install mods, but they only way that I'm aware of is to ask a friend who owns them to put the mods in a google drive document because you can't get them from the steam workshop without owning the game. The intallation is easy, you just put the car mod folders into "Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018_Data\StreamingAssets\Cars".

How I've fixed 'Got Admin rights but something failed anyway':
Download and extract the game
Try to run patch 1.4.5 (if your game is in C:\Program Files (X86)\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 click only on C:\Program Files (X86))
DON'T run \applyPatch.exe at the end, uncheck it and just click Finish
In your game folder enter cms2018_Data -> select ALL files ending with .awesomeDiff
Copy & Paste them now (CTRL + C & CTRL + V). Then rename this from .awesomeDiff to .bak (e.g. 'level8.awesomeDiff - Copy' to 'level8.bak'. Now you should have 2 files: level8.awesomeDiff AND level8.bak
Do the same with the file 'unity_builtin_extra' inside folder 'Resources'
Run applyPatch.exe
Now you should be able to install all the other patches

You downloaded the 11 parts, extract that, run the install 1.4.5 and didnt worked? if you have install previous update for example 1.4.4 then you need to download it again whole the game.

lol, its not difficult, extract the updates, run first the CMS 2018 v1.4.5 Patch exe, to the new window browse the game folder, press start, after finish close it and run the CMS 2018 v1.4.6 Patch exe again browse the game folder press start, after finish close it and then CMS 2018 v1.4.7 Patch exe and again do the same, after of all go to crack folder copy the files and paste to the game folder, you are ready, run the game as administrator and have a nice play :)

K here is the problem: I installed the original game, then I installed 1.4.5, then 1.4.6, then 1.4.7 No errors came up when I did any of this. I then copied the crack to the game folder. Finally, I started cms2018.exe and it started loading.. and didn't stop. It stopped in the last loading page Please help me.

Keep updating or ceck steam forum there is a solution where u have to create a 2 profil and steeling the shed file to copy it into profil 1. It shoud also work if u have vist all barns to get back max barns

Gotta remove the old update before installing the latest. I just reinstalled the game and put the latest update over it. Won't have to worry about your save file.
I downloaded the parts the 11 I extracted and then I open I executed the setup of the DLC 1.4.5 it installed well then it reappeared that message in the cmd on patch.exe ..

When you extract the files you need to open folder till you find the folder which says Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 thats the folder you need to apply patch to it worked for me

If you have the back up of 1.4.2 hf you just copy that folders and put in respective spot on the installation folder and then you should have downgrade it.
u shut probaly have an backupfolder from ur 1.42Hotfix2 version. Go to ur CMS18 gamefolder and look for folder is named with something like backup and 1.42 etc....

I have downloaded the patch from 3 different spots and i had the same problem...(the third is here) I had to re-install the game and ALL the updates from the beginning... I did that two times already and i won't do it 3rd time until i find an answer to this problem because it takes me more ore less 1 hour to re-install the game with all the updates.
u need DOWNGRADE to 1.42 HOTFIX2 or reinstall/redownload the game to the 1.42 hotfix2 version. Part 1-11 at the top of the page are exactly what u need.

Nice... but there have been two hotfixes for this patch already and quite a few things are broken without them. Any update that adds new content is going to be followed up by hotfixes, guaranteed.

Your wifi has nothing to do with your extracting speed ;) its just depending on how good/bad your pc is.... but hell no its not normal that it takes 25 minutes or even more ;)
I had a problem with "Division by Zero" and "Errors" too, because my faults was:
less space on disk during install patches
Incorrect order install patches. List of patches: v1.4.0-v1.4.1 v1.3.9-1.4.0 v1.3.9-1.3.9.hotfix.2 v1.3.9-1.3.9.hotfix.1 v1.3.8-1.3.9 v1.3.7-1.3.8 v1.3.6-1.3.7 v1.3.5-1.3.6 v1.3.4-1.3.5 v1.3.4-1.3.4.hotfix.1 v1.3.3-1.3.4 v1.3.2-1.3.3 When i had more disk space and i installed packages correctly, everything work fine.
do any of these updates include any optimisation for the lower spec machines?...For a relatively 'static' game it seems quite hungry for processing power
some of the installers won't work, unless i right click and go to properties, I have a message at the bottom saying the file came from another computer etc. click the box to unlock then ok. fixes most of my installers not working. people with hash errors - you can try downloading patch again or somewhere else
Had to reinstall game. Now updates past 1.3.4 will not work. Guess will just stay there. To much of a problem to mess with. Never had a problem till lately. Don't know what happen but o well.

Download the 10 files on top of this page. Unzip the parts to the target u want. Like C:/program/games/ Then use the update files to patch ur game. U need to do this in line. So first from 1.32 to 1.33 then from 1.33 to 1.34... So I patched to 1.3.6, then I patched 1.3.7 HOWEVER, when trying to update to 1.3.8 it says required version not installed. BUT when trying to reinstall 1.3.7 it says it's already installed! AND there is no backup of 1.3.7 only 1.3.6
i don't know why you have this problem but for the back ups if you install 1.3.6 making 1.3.5 back up, if you install 1.3.7 making 1.3.6 back up, if you install 1.3.8 making 1.3.7 back up.

Update 1.3.8 isn't working for me. Even if I reinstall the 1.3.6 backup files, repatch to 1.3.7 it still doesn't recognise the proper directory as containing the required version.

As an update, I have double checked all the possible files needed, C++, .net framework etc. I have deleted, re-downloaded all files, done many reinstalls. And I am still convinced that because this .dll is not extracting I am having problems starting the game. I click on the .exe (Admin and not admin), black screen, then white(ish) screen then closes. I looked on the output log and done some testing, but everything says about failed to load handler and library stuff. Which I searched and it's to do with Unity and normally the failure of steam_api64.dll not being next to .exe file.

Only solution is to copy the contents of the "BCKP 1.3.1" folder to the game install folder and then patch 1.3.2 again and try 1.3.3 again. If you can't find that folder you have to reinstall the game.

Sorry, I dont know where you downloaded, because if you downloaded from this site (at STEP 1), you will have full base game updated to v1.3.2. Then you only need download at STEP 6 > 7 > 8. You will have v1.3.5 ;)
Yes, we not allow sharing other sites at here, bro. But I checked on multi PC (my PC and 3 my friends), It's working without problems if you downloaded v1.3.2 (at STEP 1 above) and update at STEP 6,7,8. If you download from other sites, maybe they're using other crack files >> That why you got problem with hash ^^ .
np ;) , i´ve downloaded all the updates from this site, but then i had that problem updating from 1.3.1 ht1 to 1.3.2 , and the base game from this site is by parts (takes so much xD) , i preferer torrent , i was downloaded from another site that is by torrent. and now i could update with the rest of the updates until 1.3.5 :)
i had that prob too , couldn´t find a solution , what i´ve done was downloaded another game with 1.3.2 already updated in another site (if u want the link , send a pm) and then i could update to 1.3.3 and then 1.3.4.
Only solution is to copy the contents of the "BCKP 1.3.1" folder to the game install folder and then patch 1.3.1.hf1 again and try again. If you can't find that folder you have to reinstall the game.
Yes. But the crack we have been using doesn't work on 1.3.5. There's already a fixed crack at csrin. Just keep in mind that if you patch 1.3.5 you have to find new crack too.
Can not buy any cars from junk yard after installing new patch. V1.3.4 Soon as i click on to buy it freezes up till i click the explorer tab then i can move again.
downloaded it yesterday, installed it, but when game is opened (even with run as administrator) i get kind of stuck in the first screen, can't start a new game, when i need to put in a name, the game doesn't react, only to ESC and ENTER... help plz

Follow my damn long post below lel. But I'm sorry the whole process of downloading each Patch and updating took a long time so IGG directly gave us 1.3.2 so you gotta delete your old one and re-download the game and update it to 1.3.3. I'm sorry but this is the only way to play it.

You need to wipe all your CMS files after uninstalling - every last one. I use Revo Uninstaller instead of the MS version - also it's free. Restart your computer and then try to reinstall. Also, Google the Charger info. Took me about 30 seconds to find the data. Keep calm and install on

The best thing to do is re-download the program, so you only have one patch with a crack (1.3.3). Frustrating, I know, but IGG thoughtfully put all 16 previous updates into the main file (up to and including the 1.3.2 update).
i´ve installed another game with 1.3.2 version icluded in my other hd and updated until v1.3.4 , now is normal , if u want we can talk by twitter or discord.
I built it off all 16 parts the other day and just got this new version with all the updates packed in. Really, it's better now than it was before. Speaking to your issue directly, I had to point each and every update to the CMS2018 folder in Program Files (NOT x86 even though it kept wanting to put it there.) Your situation sounds like you may have put the previous update in the wrong place, because that happened to me at one point. Like I said, better to just clean off all those updates and just re-download the program (Part 1 - 10) because it includes all those files, including 1.3.2. Seems there will be more updates and hotfixes to follow anyway.
I completely understand, and my comment wasn't meant to be a criticism. The problem seems to be a missed step, according to my own experience, is what I'm saying. It's a pain in the butt, I know. However, it's the price we pay for these wonderful offerings at IGG. Now that the game is offered at the 1.3.2 update level, my best advice is to just start fresh, my friend, because it looks like there will be plenty more updates and fixes on their way. Brings me back to the old days of patches and piracy (Load "CMS2018",8,1) ....
where´s my savegame file? i not want to lose it obviously , and instead i do a fresh install , u can send me only the files included in the 1.32 update to install manually?
I don't think, sadly. When I've tried to install just the 1.2.2, the game has crashed... You have to install ALL the updates, or there will be missing files... So, goos luck :)

dude i can install it and i know what and how.But i have problems with DodgeCharger config.txt.I changed that car (wheels,engine and tires). Now i have problems with it and im trying to re install game

You need to move all the crack files into the folder from the latest update you have. However, because there is a 1.3.3, you will have uninstall the program and reinstall with the new crack. Best to just start new, re-download and get the most recent patch and crack, because we probably have a long road ahead of fixes and optimizations and whatnot.
lol all of these updates... Soon it'll be a good idea to just upload an "all-in-one" repack, I guess. But maybe we should wait until the updates slow down a bit.

HI i have some bugs about the rubber bushing, it just keep saying my rubber bushing is in bad condition and need to be replaced but i have tried to replace it so many times. ( my game version is v1.3.1 hotfix)and i googled it , which i believe this bug was patched in the update 1.02. So can anyone help me?
You're most likely replacing it with a rubber bushing that's not 100% quality or something, check the quality requirement on the repair and see if your part is lower
it should be three files, a .ini .dll and a .wow if there are missing files, try installing from another server or try using another update and check if it has the cracked files.
is it possible to update 1.2.9 to 1.3.1 hotfix 1 because when i go 1.2.9 to 1.3.0 it says patch data error on sharedassets16,sharedassets17,etc..... If somebody have fix please tell me :(
NEVERMIND!Somehow it worked.Yesterday i ran 1.3.0 update it got me patch data error after 2 times of trying to patch.First time patch data,second time patch data error.....But now i ran it and it worked.Thanks though. :)
thanks i installed all over again until patch 1.31 without the hotfix ! it works this way. i had to add the cracked steam files form patch 1.2.2 to get rid of all the problems. as ze pobinho said :D
It depends if you unthicked backup option at every update or not. If not go into you game folder and check for folders named "BCKP". There should be one with the version you need.
hello since the update from 1.2.9 to 1.3.1 the game crashes on selling crappy parts and i cannot buy the catback exhaust R4 anymore. although i buy and pay for it it doesnt show up in the items list ;o also crashes after the test track ride...

Now RELAX, you have done it, all you need to do to update the game in the future is install the new patch in folder like normal of the newest version e.g 1.3.0 + then copy and paste the newest crack into main game dir after newest update. Do the previous step every newest update, but only crack newest update, if you are installing multiple updates just crack the last like the steps state. Remember:

Its easy to install AS LONG as its the same method, I know for a fact that some patch, there was the "old" installer for it, like 1.2.1 or something, and that made my whole game fuck up, since it "jumps" from 1.1.1 or whatever it is But the black/blue installer is alot better than the basic one.
I had the same issue and this worked for me: "I have K-Lite Codec pack that i use to watch movies and other various video files. Thing is that it looks like K-Lite knows about Windows codecs in Win 7. Following steps in completly other issue somewhere on the net i made it to game launch all logos and videos. I was 100% right, it was codecs. To fix your K-Lite codec pack go to: Open Start>>All Programs>>K-Lite Codec Pack>>Tools Look at Win7DSFilterTweaker Then enter Prefered Decoders, Tweaks and Media Foundation and Reset everything. Your best bet is to look into the output_log.txt for errors to be able to find the problem. The log file is located under: (...)\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018_Data If you can't find the problem upload the log file and post the link here.

Clearly you have installed the updates wrong because it cannot detect the version, in other words you "magically" cannot get to the latest because you have done it wrong. And like I said, I have the latest version and you don't so if you do not want my help then good luck getting the latest version since i'm the "dolt".

After i updated from 1.2.0 to 1.2.2/3 halft of the ingames features that worked properly are now bugged. I flipped the F out and uninstall everything. Deleted everything. Its just to bugged and the updates are coming out so fast that i cant even keep pace with them. I will install again for couple of months when i assume the game will be playable and IGG make a "merged" edition. All updates or most of them in one dowload link. Thank you for huge effort you guys putting in this site and community.
Well does it say 1.2.4 on the bottom right in game? If it is installed then run the 1.2.5 setup and click the main game dir on 'browse' and it should recognise it and say 'valid version detected' , 'ready to patch.'

It worked until the step 7 which doesnt automatically detect patch 1.2.2. Basically you just have to manually find the directory located in "Program Files" => "Car Mechanic Simulator 2018" Your tutorial worked like a charm Sad to say, patch 1.2.3 still failed to address optimization even when you meet minimum requirement which is unacceptable considering GTAV runs smoother than this game. I cant say the same for those who dont meet minimum requirements because as long as your graphics card aint a GTX you are fucked

I just did exactly all fucking this, i thought I got the logic: Some smart ass is doing half of the update installers (which patch themselves) And some smartass doing other half with the manual shit installer (applypatch) with adminrights and shit BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT, nope. Works :D. Some fps lag spikes but all good. All i did was just download the first torrent and the latest update. Then added the crack into the directory and bam. One problem i did have is that when i run the patch, i cant seem to find where i launch it from
Sounds like your AV quarantined it. It should be in your AV scan history, restore it. Same happened to me when I updated Guitar Hero 3 to patch 1.3. Could be somewhat similar.

Keep default installation game, C:\Program Files\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018, no trouble found. right now, play at version 1.2.0 with backup 1.9.0. and remember to delete old backup file.

No, you will need winrar (or any other software used to extract rar files) You can then use winrar to run the iso file and launch the setup, follow my steps! Hope I help

Trying to update to v1.1.8 from v1.1.7, install crashes halfway through apparently because the install tried to divide by zero. Help? seems if you change graphic options before you continue a game then change them back the motion blur goes - whether this is a bug i dont know but seems to work for now
When you downloaded 10 parts and installed it, you will have base game (v1.0). This game got update everyday, so we uploaded update seperate (only few Mb for update, so don't worry).
The Update 1.04 is broken... No, I'm stuck with the 1.04 patch. I can install 1.02 and everything goes well (if we don't count a bug? where you can't see icons for the radial menu, but i can live with that). My problem is: I start the Setup.exe (Run as Admin, i do it for everything) Complete the installation where my CMS 2018 folder is (in this case at Program files/Car mechanic simulator 2018) Then i try both: Run the ApplyPatch from the menu when the installation is complete (if this fails, i reinstall everything and try again, but this time manually from the CMS 2018 folder and Run ad Admin.) When patching the 21st file it says: "Problem renaming file from.... To....." Then after a couple of seconds it just says: "Got Admin Rights but Something Failed Anyway". That's it. And you can't install the 1.1.1 patch without the 1.04, right? I have tried both @Iwan Rees method and some others below, but none of them have worked so far. P.S. Sorry for the late response, was busy.
Sry for such a late response i wasn´t home. But the things that you must do to make it work usually is: You put the crack of the previous patch on the folder of the game (don´t put the crack of the update that you are going to do) and update using the next patch after that, you do the same thing, you put the crack of the update that you used previously and you update to next patch, do that until you updated successfully up to 1.1.1 after that there is no crack so all should work. ==> P.S. dont forget to start the application after each patch if you have any more trouble i will try to help you furthermore.Once again sry for the late answer. I will do my best ot help you if i´m able to. Btw after 1.1.1 put the place where the game is installed and always untick the box which says "save backup"
Sorry, but i have done that as well :( Didn't work I think it will be easier if i just buy the game, there would be no probs. I think i have tried every possible order of installation to this, so i guess it's something to do with my computer.
Ok here it is again, remember once you see failed processes like "failed with admin rights anyway" or anything else on installation then its over, you must uninstall and start over.

Update 1.02 run patch dont crack (This should patch successfully without error messages, if you get an error message, time to start over somethings gone wrong, maybe you changed the location of installation, keep in 'program files' throughout)

I have a problem with step 4, every time I try to update the game it says "got admin rights but something failed anyway" also "problem renaming the file". That means I cannot update further
So when you update the game you are running the patch, are you cracking at all? and did v1.02 and 1.04 patch successfully? It means you have patched it wrong?
ok good always leave that, never browse for a different location. If you have had problems you will need to uninstall and reinstall the base game (do not crack the base game until the very end), also apply the patches after installing base game and dont crack until 1.1.6. Im not quite sure on the cracking steps because if you think about it, mine is on 1.1.6 so I would install 1.1.7 and crack with 1.1.1 so as you can tell it is quite difficult to get it working on others. I am trying, follow the steps after doing what I said and let me know, the more you tell me the more I can help.
Ok well keep uninstalling and reinstalling everything, keep trying run everything in administrator mode and dont crack until end. I cannot think of anything else only the steps I have provided and requirements

For me it always works when you crack the last update, im pretty sure anyway. Now it constantly works without going back to step 1. The process for me would now always be at the end of that, it would be to just install the new update then crack using 1.1.1, I am unsure whether cracking at an earlier stage would work, I doubt it. But thanks for carrying my post up to the top, I hope it works for someone EDIT: so yeah, try and crack the last update you do everytime, and if it works, then do the same, install newer updates then crack using 1.1.1 For me I have 1.1.5 right now so I download 1.1.6 and install then crack using 1.1.1, I do not have to start from 1.0.0 anymore and do all those steps
Im pretty sure you should crack the last update (1.1.6), always crack the last update by copying 1.1.1 crack after installing 1.1.6 and placing inside main game dir. If you get admin rights but failed or any other type of fail you just need to uninstall and reinstall and try again, I do not know whether you are following the steps correctly, I do not know whether it works for everyone on here but all I can say is try your best. The newer patches help you because they tell you whether you have the previous version installed ready for the newer updated version to replace it "Valid version detected! Ready to Patch!"
For some reason I cant download games that have more than 1 file. I do all the steps correctly but when I downloaded this game it just crashes after a while in a black screen. I have downloaded 1 files games like Hotline Miami 2, Party Hard/ Gun Dungeon, and Papers Please and they work just fine. Please help me.
After updating the game, copy the contents of the crack folder and place it into the main game folder Additional game software required for the game like the Microsoft Visuals etc, I cannot name them all
Yeah everytime you run into a problem you must run Uninstall from the main game folder Find my steps, follow those exactly and see if it works, remember to not crack the main game until last thing and install all in programfiles and nowhere else
I can only get the base version of the game installed. All the updates dont work for me no matter what I do. I have followed many diffrent "fixes" that were left below but nothing works, just a black screen or some initialize error.
Right click on the .exe, and make a shortcut. Then go to the shortcut's properties (Right Click and select "Properties"). Where it says "Target" add the word "editor" to the end, and it will open the editor when it is ran next.

Guys theres no official way to get this working, lets be honest a lot of people are still complaining that they are getting problems even though steps have been posted by people showing how they got it to work. The best way is to listen to everything people say on here as a community and if you still do not get it to work then go at it yourself like I did, my steps are posted which I managed to do on my own, have a go yourself if youve tried and tried.
I finally found out how to do it. I will list it step-by-step here, and I will post a video tutorial if it is requested. Step 1: Download all required files (All 10 parts + Updates) Step 2: Combine all files into a single .iso (If you cant do this, why are you on this site?) Step 3: Install the game. Default path is "C:\Program Files\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018". Wherever you install it, remember it. Step 4: Open the 1.0.2 update. In the "Update" folder, run "setup.exe" Step 5: Pick your installation path (Default is listed above), and start the update. Step 6: When it finishes, UNCHECK "Run \ApplyPatch.exe" Step 7: Go to the installation path Step 8: Run "ApplyPatch.exe" with Admin Access Step 9: Repeat steps 4-8 with 1.04 and 1.1.1. Be sure to UNCHECK "ApplyPatch.exe" and manually run it with Admin rights. DO NOT let it run on its own, this may cause issues, and WILL cause errors Step 10: Move all files in the 1.1.1 updates "Crack" folder to the installation path Step 11: In the folder to update to 1.1.3, you need to update to 1.1.2 first. This is also included. Run setup.exe in "Patch 1.1.1 to 1.1.2". Click "Browse" and select your installation path. Then press start. Step 12: After this is successful, Run the setup.exe in "Patch 1.1.2 to 1.1.3". Press "Browse", then select your installation path. Press Start. Step 13: Run setup.exe for the "Patch 1.1.3 to 1.1.4" update. Push "Browse" and select your installation path. Press Start. If a video tutorial is requested, I can make one in a few hours (Few meaning about 12-24, and only if it is requested)
already done that, but Applypatch.exe run admin at 1.04 error, then next update 1.11 run admin again error.. someone need to repack this game.. play it at 1.00, but full bug hmm.. Quote of the day "Got Admin rights but something failed anyway".
Black window not problems about crack, bro. You need install the latest driver for your VGA (Search on google about 3DPChip, then install it, it will give you a link to download latest driver - it's freeware). After update driver, you can start game ;)
I do feel that this wont work for some since running the applypatch afterwards never works even in admin mode, running it after setup on its own worked for me. Also cracking the final update with 1.1.1 in the game dir normally works and not halfway through, although if it works for some then I guess we do not know an official way
remember dont crack the main game until the very end, keep all installations in the same folder (dont change path at all). Crack after you update to 1.1.4 by placing the 1.1.1 crack into the game dir

i must be doing it wrong, installs base game, runs update 1.0.2, update fails deletes whole game. well i guess I'm starting from Step 1, rinse and repeat until mind is mush. Edit: I checked the install directory and found xdelta3-3.1.0.x86-64.exe i can not delete it or do anything to it, i think this file may have been corrupted and is effecting my patch updater.
your way works just fine, it was that file that was causing me problems i changed the install directory to somewhere else and it all works as you said to do. I still have no idea how to delete that file but oh well.
Runnning an uninstaller should delete all files, whenever you want to delete the game you should run an uninstaller. If you haven't then I do not know whether all files can get deleted.
Well the short answer is the file is supposed to be a temporary file created by the patcher, it is deleted after the patcher is finished, somehow mine didn't get deleted.
i tried deleting it but the file tells me i need to be admin to delete it, I am admin. P.S. it is the only file in the Car Mechanic install folder that i can not delete.
Well I did everything Iwan Rees did and It worked for me. I tried the same method 3 days ago with the 1.11 but it didn't work, maybe because now I disabled the anti virus McAfee.
This works. 1.0.2, 1.0.4 and 1.1.1 are official patches (BAT). 1.1.2, 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 are xdeltas that may fall off over time. This happened before (1.0.5 - 1.1.0) so be prepared for it to happen again.
I have a question I installed main game then all updates as admin patched but not cracked till 1.1.0.4 cracked it then ran it and it started up fine but when I pull off parts the pictures of parts are all mess up like it shows a pic of exhaust for brake pads can take a screen shot if yall want
I am so confused on how to install this. I just install it, without cracking like the comments say, then install the updates, one by one. I don't run the "ApplyPatch.exe" though. Is that my issue? I figured that was to apply the crack, which the comments said not to do. When I finish and run the "ApplyPatch.exe", it says "Problem renaming file", and when I try to do the 1.1.2 crack, it says "An error occured! Rolling back changes". I do it all in order, I dont insert the "Crack" folders, as the last patch wont install.

When do you apply patch (is it at the end of the update of 1.0.2 where it asks you?) Where exactly do you copy and paste the crack of 1.1.1 in which folder? there is a folder inside the main folder of the update, in there?
I agree COMPLETELY with you Saintino. I was on 1.1.0 and I TRIED to apply the 1.0.4 to 1.1.1 update, but I got all sorts of errors. I think I have seen EVERY single error mentioned here in these comments from everyone! After that failure, I could NOT apply ANY patch, so my game was completely broken.... Then tonight, I uninstalled the ENTIRE game, and followed the sequence you mentioned here, and everything installed PERFECTLY! I am now running without any problem on 1.1.3! Follow the sequence listed above. Do not try shortcuts, or jumping past required updates. Be patient... Enjoy!
I played about ten hours and it was just the same jobs over and over. Rotary engines don't sound like rotary's and don't rev anywhere near high enough. I hoped the surplus of machines would help add more depth, but it doesn't really. There's no customisability in the engines, can't turbocharge a rotary for example. When you've played upwards of 100 hours of My Summer Car, this is like going from a dictionary to a childrens book :(
To run the CMS 2018 Car Editor, follow these steps: Create a NEW Shortcut on your desktop, pointing to this command: "C:\Program Files\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018.exe" editor Alternatively, open Command Prompt (Run -> "cmd"), go to CMS 2018 folder (cd "\Program Files\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018"), run CMS2018 application, and ADD the word "editor" after it ("cms2018.exe editor"). You will see the Car Editor opens instead of the normal CMS2018. Enjoy!
http://1.download all the parts for the game. 2. select all of them then extract them 3. after you extracted, a folder would appear, enter the folder then click on the .iso file 4. right click on the .iso file then open it with file explorer then double click on the "setup.exe" 5. install the game. 6. in the folder where the files were extracted should be a crack folder named "SKIDROW" or "CODEX" or simply "CRACK" copy all of its content then paste it into the game's directory (if you made a desktop shortcut then just right click it then click "open file location").In case it asks for replacing some files, thats what you have to do. 7. in case the game doesn't save, or it simply doesn't start just run it as administrator only the first time you open the game. But it does not appear to me as unlocked, and in the gallery of vehicles they do not appear, unless they have changed the way of seeing them. For example the previous game was seen with an indication that it was a dlc

I finally figured out my mistake So here are simple steps for install: First install base game then updates one by one do not crack until end be sure when installing game and updates that you right click on icons and run as administrator that was my mistake I was not doing that also when launching game right click and run as administrator also game will work fine if you follow my instructions
Just a comment, upgrading your graphics card to a gtx 1050 would give you a better playing experience with all of your games, they are not much money at around 120 dollars
According to the link from IGG (above), you can go from 1.0.4 to 1.1.1 (newer than 1.1.0). Before IGG released the link from 1.0.4 to 1.1.1 (above), I had to hunt the Internet for patch 1.0.5, patch 1.0.6, patch 1.0.7, patch 1.0.8, patch 1.0.9, patch 1.1.0 and I applied each of them 1 by 1. This was TERRIBLE! Thanks to IGG, you do NOT need to do all the work I did! :-) Just follow the instructions above! :-)
I need help guys! Is anybody experiencing the issue that when you go to the shop and click on an item the game crashes? If anybody knows the fix please reply.
My game is fully working now, I have not experienced that problem. What version are you running? My guess would be corrupted or missing files but to fix it you would need to update the game anyway.

If you have the game installed, you MUST uninstall it and reinstall it and DO NOT crack it yet! First download all part INCLUDING update 1.0.2 AND 1.0.4 AND 1.1.1! - VERY IMPORTANT. The next step is to install the game and DO NOT crack it! Install update 1.0.2 again, DO NOT crack it! Install 1.0.4 Again, DO NOT crack! Install 1.1.1 and then you can crack it using the crack provided in the 1.1.1 update file! Need further help? just reply here!
Apparently somebody had an error following those steps, I would follow but I can't. I never tried only cracking the latest update, and never knew about not cracking the main game at all.
when I try to install using your method after 1.1.1 update I let it try to apply patch but get error message with that and when I launch game after it gets passed the global auction screen right before main menu it crashes I am running win 10 pro 6 gb ram 1 tb hd 1gb nvida graphics card please help
a 1050ti works great with an i7-6700hq and 8gb of ram, maybe you should condsider upgrading your graphics card, a gtx 1050 isn't that expensive, its around $120, but a 1050TI is a much better value, with 4gb of vram instead of 2gb on the 1050, with a price tag of around $160
you dont have enough video ram. I think thats why your game is crashing. On the steam store page, its says the minimum required video card is an gtx 660 with 2gb of vram.
when i try update the 1.1.0 in the middle updating it crash and roll back and my game uninstalled too why???? ive just download the 1.1.1 but i dont think it can be use
I did this, and if not doing the "apply patch" anywhere it works all the way until before main menu, it crashes If applying patch i get "failed to initialize player" and game wont start at all... WTF
everything's just fine. installation with all 3 updates (up to 1.11) without problems. played the game for 1-2 hours, without crashes either. win7 64bit
As G0rn said: If you have installed the 1.0.2 + DLC Update, then the cars are automatically added. To check that you have the DLC downloaded and installed: On the Main Menu screen, go across to "DLCs", and under DLCs you should see "Mazda" and "Dodge" installed. In the game, they just appear like any other car at Auctions, Scrapyard, Barn Finds etc.

I have the game running (Lowest setting with almost no lag) I do not know if I have 1.1.1 All I know is that it says 1.0.0 initial release on the bottom right on main menu (no idea what version I have) I installed and cracked all the updates from IGG and located them in the same folder with another folder named the same thing. (read what I said below)

If you are on the main menu and installed everything accordingly it should say 1.1.1 underneath the logo. (bottom right corner of the logo/pretty small) Theres also some patchnotes on screen to the right.

I had my game updated to 1.0.6 and tried this and it failed. I reinstalled and did as FlowSeven stated and it works great. Install Fresh, Apply 1.02 , Apply 1.04 then Apply 1.1.1 and make sure to Run as Admin. Not every PC is the same but this seems to be the Best Solution to the problem Thus far...

CMS 2018 Car Editor! The CMS 2018 Car Editor IS already included in the game (tested with patch 1.1.0)! It allows you to change just about any aspect / value of any car in a graphical interface. To activate from Steam: Right click on steam shortcut and second option launch car editor. To run from "standalone" / offline game: Run CMS2018.exe with the "editor" option in the command line. E.G.: "C:\Program Files\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018.exe" editor (I created a NEW shortcut for the editor). There is NO "Close" option for the editor. To close the editor:
Try run all installs/patches as "Administrator". Log in as "Administrator", or "Run as Administrator". This will prevent security restrictions on folders.
Sometimes doing a full PC shutdown, and then a full PC startup helps.
Try install or apply Patches/Updates straight after Windows starts, before running any other applications.
Patches/Updates MUST be applied to a BASIC (original) environment. No customized or edited files must exist in the CMS 2018 folder, or the patch/update will fail (I've had a patch fail with "Divide by Zero" error because of files I edited).
Uninstall CMS 2018 completely, and then reinstall CMS 2018 from scratch (ISO install, updates, patches etc.....). Finally, after all updates are successfully applied, then copy the 3 files from "Crack" to your CMS 2018 folder. Only then should you run the game for the FIRST time! (I've done this once before, and it gave me a 100% working environment).
Yep :D, they have made alot of mistakes but they are really sorry. Dear All, we are deeply sorry for all those problems with the game. There are way too many bugs, We are aware of that. That kind of situation never should happend. CMS 14 and CMS 15 have around 90% steam review scores, so we are really disappointed by CMS 18 score. Mostly - by our actions. We made too many mistakes on release. You have full right to be angry at us, to be disappointed. To make refunds. We deserved it. We - are disappointed. We worked on CMS 18 since 2015, right after CMS 15. Whole this series, each part - it's like a baby to us. We love those cars. All mistakes we made, are very painful. Hello I get this error when trying to run the setup executable from the mounted ISO file on a virtual drive. Tried copying and pasting the contents of the ISO to a different folder to see if that works. But I still get the "Unable to execute file in the temporary directory. Setup aborted. Error 5: Access is denied." Updated Enivronmental variables for my system and it still doesn't work. Changed system permissions for read / write access but to no avail. How do I solve this?

loong comment but i hope you get it ;) The problem is with the security permissions on your profile temp folder. To fix it navigate to %temp% or C:\Users[Username]\AppData\Local and right click on the Temp folder and choose properties, then click the security tab and click advanced. On the permissions tab you should see the permissions that are there. There should 3 which are: 'SYSTEM' with Full control which applies to 'This folder, subfolders and files' 'Administrators' with Full control which applies to 'This folder, subfolders and files' 'Your Username' with Full control which applies to 'This folder, subfolders and files' and all 3 should be inherited from the C:\Users[Username]\ folder. If you don't have the 'Include inheritable permissions from this object's parent' option ticked, then tick it and click continue if there are any problems, then remove the permissions that aren't inherited. Once you click 'Apply' and click 'OK' you should have the permissions to write to the directory and you won't get those error messages any more.

already install the v1.02-copy the crack,, and run the patch v1.04.. restart your pc and try it again. if still have the problems don't mind to asking :)
Ran the setup for first patch, seems to extract fine, but got a "applypatch has stopped working" error. Tried to look through the comments but couldn't find anything on it.
hmm.. that's weird,,, summon the master :D @vietphap123:disqus as i know that if you have problem like that, is corrupt on the files/ some AV block your progress/ when downloading the patch is have something error on it.
We only test with all version at this site: Base game (Step 1) > Update v1.02 (Step 6) > Update v1.04 (Step 7) > Update from v1.04-1.09 (Step by step at Step 8). The game is working now with latest version. So if you downloaded some previous update from other sites, I cant assure that it will work.. Sorry for this.
U should try copy orginal files from previous patch ( BCKP 1.0.6 folder ) put everything in main folder and replace, then run again 1.0.7 update. Should work

patch 1.06 appears to have included 20 Prozac as i now have motion blur in the game whereas there was none before. Hope they take it away as its very annoying and disoriontating

Yeah it's the same here for me. Update 1.02 => white screen with an error message Update 1.04 => problem with renaming files I think we have to wait for another update.
Hey everyone I finally found a solution I will just copy / paste what I found and it works well for me To solve the bug: You must install the game, launch it and close it. (You must start from a clean installation!) Then install patch 1.0.2, run the game and close it. (Required to install to put the 1.0.4) And finally you have to put the 1.0.4. PS: I translated it from French
yes you have to download every part of the game then unzip them or just go up (home button) press torrent site find a CMS 18 download torrent and updates
You need download step by step : Base game (at STEP 1) >> UPDATE v1.02 & DLC (at Step 6) > UPDATE v1.04 (at STEP 7). You will have latest version inclu ALL DLC then ;)
I would not bother playing until version 1.1 Half of the stuff in the game does not work at all. I paid for this and just watched few topics on steam and yeah they delivered 1/2 of the game. The other half, they are working on now hence two patches a day.

In the folder where the setup is located, theres a folder that says "Crack" go to the folder and copy the 3 files in it. after that go to your "Car Mechanic Simulator" Folder and paste it.
Everytime I take the Truck I bought it from a barn find (forgot the name) to the test track the screen loads forever I can click esc and I hear the buttons but only loading screen, is this a bug with other cars too?
clean install 1.0, then update 1.02 and then apply crack 1.02. Worked for me. When you are updating just wait sometimes it looks like it is stuck, just wait.
the update is checking files automatically - it says bye bye and closing it's cmd window then i'm cracking it by 1.02 crack, launching the game to get that crash :D message about error is showing up - ok game is closing report about crash is generated

The reviews are due to it running not great even if you meet the specs. Additionally, the initial release contained some bugs that would have been noticed it the devs playtested the first 1-2 hours of gameplay a few times. (Or just loaded up the menu)
There is 1 car you need to avoid atm until they update the game edit: The car is the Mayen M3 and when I try to do anything with the car it will mess up the game causing me to go to the menu, so basically it's broken
Not working, can't move the mouse, can't start new game. When I go to options there isn't anything. And when I want to go to the car showroom it just loads forever.

When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something?
If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.

Step 3- Open that folder and copy everything and paste it into the game directory

if not go to task menager and see how much ram is in use, try closing things you dont need like the internet browser or steam if installed

4. IMPORTANT turn off your anti virus or it will stop you from extracking or installing and may damage the game files while installing since some get paid for corrupting illegaly pireted versions of the game
5. select all of them then press your rigth mous buton and press "Extract Here"
6. install the game by clicking on the setup file wich in some cases does't has an icon and install it
7. crack the game if the installer hasen't done it for you
8. turn your AV back on and anjoy the game made by people from my country, Poland ;)

I installed the original game, then I installed 1.4.5, then 1.4.6, then 1.4.7
No errors came up when I did any of this. I then copied the crack to the game folder.
Finally, I started cms2018.exe and it started loading.. and didn't stop. It stopped in the last loading page

I am CONVINCED that your ANTI-VIRUS is DELETING the "Setup.exe" / "ApplyPatch.exe" files.
My Anti-Virus (Kaspersky) said that the "Setup.exe" file has a TROJAN, but there is NO Trojan in this file - it just modifies / updates other files (which is why it is recognised as a FALSE positive).
To install this patch:
(you can disconnect from the Internet if you are nervous about switching off Anti-Virus)
(you can reconnect to the Internet if you want to)

I had to re-install the game and ALL the updates from the beginning...
I did that two times already and i won't do it 3rd time until i find an answer to this problem because it takes me more ore less 1 hour to re-install the game with all the updates.

HOWEVER, when trying to update to 1.3.8 it says required version not installed. BUT when trying to reinstall 1.3.7 it says it's already installed! AND there is no backup of 1.3.7 only 1.3.6
Maybe delete everythink execpt the downloadparts and Updates and try again.
Also make sure u use all updates like 1.34,1.35....

Copy the CMS shortcut you have on the desktop.
Go to it's properties and edit Target to look like this:

Rename the shortcut to "CMS Car Editor".
Method 2:
Create a NEW Shortcut on your desktop, pointing to this command:
"C:\Program Files\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018.exe" editor
game install folder and then patch 1.3.2 again and try 1.3.3 again. If you
can't find that folder you have to reinstall the game.

AppData is hidden by the system, you'll have to change system fyles hidden properties on folder options.
There's already a fixed crack at csrin.
Just keep in mind that if you patch 1.3.5 you have to find new crack too.

For the people who are having the previous patch (i.e V.1.3.1 HF1) or below. You have to delete the game and re-download the game which is having the (v.1.3.2) and follow above instructions ^.^
NOTE: The Game will work easily on Entry-Level Graphic Cards aswell (starting from GeForce 600 Series till the latest cards for Nvidia Graphics)

Do the previous step every newest update, but only crack newest update, if you are installing multiple updates just crack the last like the steps state.
Remember:
stuck on part 18 during patching process just wait, it does patch eventually.
*Ensure you download everything in the folder 'program files'. Try not to change the location of the installation. The patcher will not recognise the version if you install incorrectly
*Other types of errors can present themselves, ensure to download all the required software (Visual C++ etc)
*Use admin rights throughout!
*Ensure your PC meets system requirements to run the game!

Press WINDOWS KEY + R (run) and type :

Edit: After reboot the game, it's alright !
But the black/blue installer is alot better than the basic one.
But the 1.2.3 update did'nt work and deleted the .exe of game.
"I have K-Lite Codec pack that i use to watch movies and other various
video files. Thing is that it looks like K-Lite knows about Windows
codecs in Win 7. Following steps in completly other issue somewhere on
the net i made it to game launch all logos and videos. I was 100% right,
it was codecs.
To fix your K-Lite codec pack go to:
Open Start>>All Programs>>K-Lite Codec Pack>>Tools
Look at Win7DSFilterTweaker
Then enter Prefered Decoders, Tweaks and Media Foundation and Reset everything.
After that restart your PC."

Sad to say, patch 1.2.3 still failed to address optimization even when you meet minimum requirement which is unacceptable considering GTAV runs smoother than this game. I cant say the same for those who dont meet minimum requirements because as long as your graphics card aint a GTX you are fucked

m good with the 1.02, but the next doesnt work Whatever i do, the patch ALWAYS FAILS at this update, its says "Got Admin rights but something failed anyway" and i can`t get any further. Tried this A MILLION (literally) times by reinstalling etc., but ALWAYS fails when patching the 21st file.Answer me and i will try to help.
I start the Setup.exe (Run as Admin, i do it for everything)
Complete the installation where my CMS 2018 folder is (in this case at Program files/Car mechanic simulator 2018)
Then i try both:
Run the ApplyPatch from the menu when the installation is complete (if this fails, i reinstall everything and try again, but this time manually from the CMS 2018 folder and Run ad Admin.)
When patching the 21st file it says:
"Problem renaming file from....
To....."
Then after a couple of seconds it just says: "Got Admin Rights but Something Failed Anyway". That's it.
And you can't install the 1.1.1 patch without the 1.04, right?
I have tried both @Iwan Rees method and some others below, but none of them have worked so far.

You put the crack of the previous patch on the folder of the game (don´t put the crack of the update that you are going to do) and update using the next patch after that, you do the same thing, you put the crack of the update that you used previously and you update to next patch, do that until you updated successfully up to 1.1.1 after that there is no crack so all should work. ==> P.S. dont forget to start the application after each patch if you have any more trouble i will try to help you furthermore.Once again sry for the late answer.

Btw after 1.1.1 put the place where the game is installed and always untick the box which says "save backup"

*When I first had problems I noticed the patches installed another Cms2018 folder inside the cms2018 folder, this is wrong the patch did not work so uninstall all (it creates a temporary folder then deletes it, so you should not have one at the end result.

The process for me would now always be at the end of that, it would be to just install the new update then crack using 1.1.1, I am unsure whether cracking at an earlier stage would work, I doubt it.

EDIT: so yeah, try and crack the last update you do everytime, and if it works, then do the same, install newer updates then crack using 1.1.1
For me I have 1.1.5 right now so I download 1.1.6 and install then crack using 1.1.1, I do not have to start from 1.0.0 anymore and do all those steps
If you get admin rights but failed or any other type of fail you just need to uninstall and reinstall and try again, I do not know whether you are following the steps correctly, I do not know whether it works for everyone on here but all I can say is try your best.
The newer patches help you because they tell you whether you have the previous version installed ready for the newer updated version to replace it "Valid version detected! Ready to Patch!"

Step 1: Download all required files (All 10 parts + Updates)
Step 2: Combine all files into a single .iso (If you cant do this, why are you on this site?)
Step 3: Install the game. Default path is "C:\Program Files\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018". Wherever you install it, remember it.
Step 4: Open the 1.0.2 update. In the "Update" folder, run "setup.exe"
Step 5: Pick your installation path (Default is listed above), and start the update.
Step 6: When it finishes, UNCHECK "Run \ApplyPatch.exe"
Step 7: Go to the installation path
Step 8: Run "ApplyPatch.exe" with Admin Access
Step 9: Repeat steps 4-8 with 1.04 and 1.1.1. Be sure to UNCHECK "ApplyPatch.exe" and manually run it with Admin rights. DO NOT let it run on its own, this may cause issues, and WILL cause errors
Step 10: Move all files in the 1.1.1 updates "Crack" folder to the installation path
Step 11: In the folder to update to 1.1.3, you need to update to 1.1.2 first. This is also included. Run setup.exe in "Patch 1.1.1 to 1.1.2". Click "Browse" and select your installation path. Then press start.
Step 12: After this is successful, Run the setup.exe in "Patch 1.1.2 to 1.1.3". Press "Browse", then select your installation path. Press Start.
Step 13: Run setup.exe for the "Patch 1.1.3 to 1.1.4" update. Push "Browse" and select your installation path. Press Start.

Edit: I checked the install directory and found xdelta3-3.1.0.x86-64.exe i can not delete it or do anything to it, i think this file may have been corrupted and is effecting my patch updater.
P.S. it is the only file in the Car Mechanic install folder that i can not delete.
1.0.2, 1.0.4 and 1.1.1 are official patches (BAT). 1.1.2, 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 are xdeltas that may fall off over time. This happened before (1.0.5 - 1.1.0) so be prepared for it to happen again.

I was on 1.1.0 and I TRIED to apply the 1.0.4 to 1.1.1 update, but I got all sorts of errors. I think I have seen EVERY single error mentioned here in these comments from everyone! After that failure, I could NOT apply ANY patch, so my game was completely broken....
Then tonight, I uninstalled the ENTIRE game, and followed the sequence you mentioned here, and everything installed PERFECTLY!
I am now running without any problem on 1.1.3!
Follow the sequence listed above.
Do not try shortcuts, or jumping past required updates.

Create a NEW Shortcut on your desktop, pointing to this command:

Alternatively, open Command Prompt (Run -> "cmd"),

run CMS2018 application, and ADD the word "editor" after it
("cms2018.exe editor").
You will see the Car Editor opens instead of the normal CMS2018.

3. after you extracted, a folder would appear, enter the folder then click on the .iso file
4. right click on the .iso file then open it with file explorer then double click on the "setup.exe"
5. install the game.
6. in the folder where the files were extracted should be a crack folder named "SKIDROW" or "CODEX" or simply "CRACK" copy all of its content then paste it into the game's directory (if you made a desktop shortcut then just right click it then click "open file location").In case it asks for replacing some files, thats what you have to do.
7. in case the game doesn't save, or it simply doesn't start just run it as administrator only the first time you open the game. (in the gta v's case or other games who cant start without running it as admin, you'll need to run it as administrator everytime).

Before IGG released the link from 1.0.4 to 1.1.1 (above), I had to hunt the Internet for patch 1.0.5, patch 1.0.6, patch 1.0.7, patch 1.0.8, patch 1.0.9, patch 1.1.0 and I applied each of them 1 by 1. This was TERRIBLE!

So since many are having the problem of installing the updates, I decided to give a little walkthrough on how to install, update and crack the game.
If you have the game installed, you MUST uninstall it and reinstall it and DO NOT crack it yet!
First download all part INCLUDING update 1.0.2 AND 1.0.4 AND 1.1.1! - VERY IMPORTANT.
The next step is to install the game and DO NOT crack it!
Install update 1.0.2 again, DO NOT crack it!
Install 1.0.4 Again, DO NOT crack!
Install 1.1.1 and then you can crack it using the crack provided in the 1.1.1 update file!

If applying patch i get "failed to initialize player" and game wont start at all... WTF
On the Main Menu screen, go across to "DLCs", and under DLCs you should see "Mazda" and "Dodge" installed.
In the game, they just appear like any other car at Auctions, Scrapyard, Barn Finds etc.
I downloaded everything, ran the main setup in admin (everything in admin)
then cracked the main game (never ran the game at all throughout steps
until end) then installed 1.0.2 then put crack in main game then 1.0.4
then crack in main game folder then 1.1.1 installed in main game folder
(none of these cracks in the single new folder created). I then ran the
applypatch.exe and it didnt work that one time

The CMS 2018 Car Editor IS already included in the game (tested with patch 1.1.0)! It allows you to change just about any aspect / value of any car in a graphical interface.
To activate from Steam:
Right click on steam shortcut and second option launch car editor.
To run from "standalone" / offline game:
Run CMS2018.exe with the "editor" option in the command line. E.G.:
"C:\Program Files\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018.exe" editor

The problem is with the security permissions on your profile temp
folder. To fix it navigate to %temp% or
C:\Users[Username]\AppData\Local and right click on the Temp folder and
choose properties, then click the security tab and click advanced.
On the permissions tab you should see the permissions that are there. There should 3 which are:
'SYSTEM' with Full control which applies to 'This folder, subfolders and files'
'Administrators' with Full control which applies to 'This folder, subfolders and files'
'Your Username' with Full control which applies to 'This folder, subfolders and files'
and all 3 should be inherited from the C:\Users[Username]\ folder.
If you don't have the 'Include inheritable permissions from this
object's parent' option ticked, then tick it and click continue if there
are any problems, then remove the permissions that aren't inherited.
Once you click 'Apply' and click 'OK' you should have the permissions
to write to the directory and you won't get those error messages any
more.

I finally found a solution I will just copy / paste what I found and it works well for me
To solve the bug:
You must install the game, launch it and close it. (You must start from a clean installation!)
Then install patch 1.0.2, run the game and close it. (Required to install to put the 1.0.4)
And finally you have to put the 1.0.4.
PS: I translated it from French
Half of the stuff in the game does not work at all. I paid for this and just watched few topics on steam and yeah they delivered 1/2 of the game. The other half, they are working on now hence two patches a day.
