unfortunately I experience the same problem and the only solution that I discovered to fix it is uninstalling the game then install it again using the files on this site then after that updating using the patches provided on this site and yes you have to update all the patches otherwise it will detect the wrong version if you skip a patch

I'm gonna write a review in a form of real life story, here we go! Started it up, spent 12-15 hours so in game and finally got my shit together.. I joined Vlandia, helped they take over a castle, and he gave it to me! My fief, my beginning! Started organizing my kingdom and just as I left to get more troops 650 Northern Empire guys are about to take it back, my Castle! I somehow managed to fight them off and the rest of t heir 200 forces got taken care of by my Derhert king and his 800 friends! I joined with my lousy 40 men. As all my good men were wiped out I went for a trip to gain new fresh recruits to train and help protect my new started castle, the beginning of my great time as ruler. Two days away to get my favorite Vlandian troops I figured I should max out my troops to 150 to bring back to my Castle but as I had just acquired 80 new fresh recruits there stands another 700 man strong Northern Empire soldiers camping outside my Castle doors. So I hurry back with my really questionably weak army and I lost about 16 of them just for entering where as 8 of them were of my good cavalry units, and pretty much made my whole run useless to say the least. We have another fight, A good long fight and I alone took down a whole bloody lot, so much that my fingers hurt, in real life even! They retreated and....... Gathered up again with the remaining of their 250 some troops against my 30 or 40 so and got my ass handed to me. Utterly crushed. I spent the 20 seconds or so stirring blankly at the screen unable to really think properly and then it was like I somehow got possessed and hit alt + F4 four times, three quick solid times and the last one after a little pause. Started coming back to normal with this lingering somewhat cozy feeling of rage inside me I decided that this game is not for me, I am not masochistic enough and uninstalled the game. If I lived happily ever after? Who knows... The End...

It sounds counterintuitive, but newly conquered fiefs are actually some of the worst rewards you can be given - they are at the greatest risk of being retaken by the enemy or taken by third parties, and you need the resources to reinforce your own troops.
I do not recall if you can temporarily join a faction as a mercenary in Bannerlord, but if so, that is what you should do in most Mount & Blade games instead of outright joining in. There will be less rewards initially, but once you can pummel hundreds of troops by yourself then doing so with an army at your back will be even easier.
Finally, as a matter of fact, these games take a lot of time to master. Believe me, as much as I enjoy Warband and it's mods the simple fact is that grinding is a massive part of them.

it says version e1.8, the "e" in front of version means early access, in this download version it says version 1.0 without the "e" means the full release of the game

wrong. bannerlord has been released as "early access" and after 1.8.0 patch, the game status has been updated as "beta". ( Early access -> Beta -> Full version -> DLC -> expansion pack etc.)

I have installed the first 2 update on main folder and continues until it got stuck on 1.6.2.284832 to 1.6.3.285789. It keeps getting error I don't kow why?
I keep trying to extract the files from part 1 and everything goes well until it asks for files for Part 8. But I do not see part 8 anywhere. All download files stop at part 7. What should I do?
There is a lot problem with this version. Sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes 3 hours later game crashing and the save files get corrupted. Thought that the files were corrupted. I downloaded it again a few times and tried it but still have the same problems. Also they say blacksmithing bug is fixed in original version but this version still has the same bug. I will be glad if you release a stable, latest and clean version. Thank you <3
Uninstall the game, and install whole update again this is common issue. But biggest problem still unsolved is update 1.7.1 to 1.7.2. If you manage to installed to 1.7.2 Congrats. If not, either play 1.7.1 or download from other websites. Update 1.7.1 to 1.7.2 is so broken
the update for 1.6.3 patch 3(the 9 gig update) doesnt seem to work at all, says that updating but after an hour or so still no change in progression bar.
each update is a zip file, unzip it and you will see 3 folders, this ones are from the UPDATE v1.6.4.288289:
the first one says "v1.6.3.286135 to v1.6.3.286182" so first you need to install the older updates, of course only works if the game and updates are from this site, i dont know if from another source will work.
mmm weird, when that happend, while very very rare, i do this: first y try to disable antivirus, sometimes can stop a "suspect file", but for this one that didnt happen. Second is re-download the file, but i only needed do this like 4 times in 20 years of piracy. But is harder if no message warns about a problem. Maybe unistall, then delete anything related to the game, then run some program to clean the windows registry (like ccleaner o glary utilities) and then reinstall?
I tried everything the problem seems to be the this like "temp.tmp" file comes and goes comes at 0kb and immediately goes and I have allowed with my antivirus even removed and tried it seems to be the same result re installed everything even got the files from others sites first seem to work all that the sma problem with "temp.tmp" not extracting for installing idk
After installing the game, DON'T forget there is still the update folder left in the rar file. After updating, only then can you use the other update rar starting from 1.6.3 to 1.6.4.

I have forgeted to update from the main bannelord folder before the update's folders, thanks bro, but the extracted update still "blank".exe's, to work i just use the update inside the .rar, without extracting.
You have to update it one by one. if the 1.6.3 update folder number 1 does not work, there is the update folder from the rar file with the base game setup. the folder is literally named "update".

I repeated save & load numerous time and look it in the circle, I believe there are some quests which have bugs. I also cannot finished the quest that hunt for Cospiracy War Party where I could only found 3 Bandit Parties.

Install the game on separate drivers. So if you installed in C drive, install the game in D drive. Surely you can install the updates now. If your C was SSD and D is HDD, you can just move the game. I don't recommend playing in HDD.
Okay the Update from v1.7.1.310948 to v1.7.2.314157 is not working. It just the installer just feeze on same spot. I checked Task Manager saw the installer come and gone. I already diactivate the antivirus. Already uninstalled installed again for second. The other updates are fine except for this.

its automatically locating the game folder, but sometimes weird shit happen with gog, so just incase put the patch file on the same disk or 'maybe' inside the game folder.
Do not use the patch, there is a major bug that prevents you from playing seiges right now. The menu where you spend influence to increase army cohesion does not work while you are in seiges now if you download the patch included here. Wait until a new patch comes out before patching this game. My game is broken now. TLDR: (patch 1.7.0.299494 breaks the game, wait until new patch)

I downloaded the "UPDATE v1.7.0.299494" but when i´m trying to install it, an error pops up, "this patch does not support your version of the game........" and i´m a 100% sure i have the 1.7.0.298049 version witch is the required one to start all the update process. Oof, thats hard, buddy. I was looked for smaller size and latest version anywhere but there's no single website that give a complete latest update file. The last version of bannerlord update was given is v1.5.0 somewhere, and nobody give update for each version after 1.5.0. 'Maybe' because of each major updates size are too big to upload (around >5GB) and dev always update the game each weeks. Or maybe because its early access game. Maybe you should look it up, maybe there's a website that i've been missed.
No you don't install it in parts. Download all the parts and once thats done. Put all the zip files into a single folder. Highlight all the zip files and right click and click extract here assuming you have a zip extractor like winrar or 7zip. Then wait for that process to be done and go from there. It will either be an iso (emulated disk) which you will then need to use a iso manager like daemon tools to install or it will be the raw game files.
Yes. You need to download every single parts. Some games have separated update link which YOU nEEED to download. Unless you want to play version 1.0.0.0
For people having trouble with the one update giving errors make sure you make the other files included in that folder not read only and to run it as an admin that worked for me.
Found out how to get all the updates to work, extract both part 1 and part 2 together using 7-Zip, then rename the folder to something small and the exe files should work. some smart shmuck decided to compile the rar with over the total file tree character limit of 255 characters
Honestly I feel people should least wait until 1.7 releases from Ebeta and then of course gets to here; there just so much lacking and to constantly want the tiny updates hea.. just seems silly-ish (know sometimes they fix big issues or add some nice stuff etc...)
