Played this game almost a decade ago. I don't remember exactly who showed it to me, or how I found it in general, but I have to say, that is one of the best visual novels I have played in my time. Only recently do I hold Chusingura 46+1 a bit higher, but this game does not fall behind. It is in my top games of all time. Maybe one day I'll get around to talking about this game in a video, like a review or something. The game was so good that in 10 more years from now, I'll still be thinking about that game. To me there are not a lot of games that leave such an impression on me like that. That is why my top games of all times list is very short. I really just wanted to put this out there to shine some light on a game I feel not a lot of people know about. The reason may be because it is also an Adults Only game, meaning it has sex scenes and whatnot, but the story is so rich that I don't even remember any of the H scenes in it. The other reason is of course since I'm getting around to playing Doki Doki Literature Club, and it reminded me of Yume Miru Kusuri. So I just had to bring it up. I won't let these hidden gems lose their shine.
I see, talking about impactful VNs, I'd rate Katawa Shoujo pretty high on my list though. I'll give this game a shot either way. (Hope your life's been well after 3 years you wrote this comment )
I've been trying to find an uncut version of Chusingura46+1 but I can't, the steam version seems to be censored and while I can live without the hentai scenes I understand there are some plot elements that were cut alongside the hentai scenes... I really want to read the VN but I am at a aloss as to what to do. You read the steam version ? Did it feel like it was missing something ?
The uncut version is not translated unfortunately. In case you are interested I can let you know where. Not sure if the downloads are still up though. But, like I said, it is not translated. Now for steam version of Chusingura. I praise it heavily despite the multiple translation and grammatical errors found, and the cut hentai scenes. It really doesn’t feel like it’s missing anything... that is until you get to the final chapter. The dialogue indicates something happened out of nowhere when nothing ever happened.... so there’s that. There may be a few inconsistencies here and there with that game, but overall it’s a great experience. The uncut version is best simply because of all the extra content and user interface in general. Hope that helps you out.
Thank you for the response. I am tempted by the Steam version. I can not read japanese at all so I would be at a loss with the Japanese version. I will hope for the impossible that someone might, at some point, do something about it. Even if it never happens. Even so, I am thinking about playing the english and japanese versions side by side and experience the cut scenes with what little spoken japanese I understand + google translate. Now to find the Japanese version.. Thanks again for the prompt response.
Was gonna pass on this game because visual novels seemed quite boring but your comment inspired me, thanks. Also I have only done the bullying route is it worth doing the other ones?
Haha well, you’ve done the route that impacted me the most where I felt for the character hard, but personally the fairy girl, or the drug route is the best in my opinion. The interpersonal girl route was quite something as well. I’d say it’s very worth doing.
You are not the only one to recommend it to me, so I decided to try it out. But I have a habit(dont really know what its called) of really wanting certain characters to be together, especially since you feel so bad for the character in that one as you said, so it dosen't feel right. I was almost going to say the scene that impacted me the most but I remembered its not a PM and I would spoil it lol.
I am having some issues, every time I open it, the window screen just looks white, when I full screen it, I can see the gameplay, but then it crashes, you guys know how to fix this issue, the link I used is the google files
Hi. Don't know if anyone is still seeing these but whenever I download the game. Doesn't matter where I download it from I always get the message "registry error". For some reason it always opens in the cyberlink iso. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance. It looks like an amazing game
