Hey, downloaded this and installed it (Skidrow release/GOG) and I'm running Windows 7 64-bit. HOWEVER it crashes as soon as I go to run the actual game, though I was able to change the options and everything to lowest resolution/fastest configuration before playing.
Its a known issue with amd cards over on the steam forums, there is a workaround by downloading a savegame thats past the tutorial/cutscene. (http://steamcommunity.com/app/360830/discussions/0/133261907146452788 Steam Discussion Thread) I had/have the same issue and that did the job, im only to the second world now but so far no issues besides 1 random crash. Ps, i know its not favorable but you can crank it to max and lower the resolution to 720x480 and then put it into fullscreen, i can play it at 60 frames with my potato pc. (AMD Phenom II X4 B50, AMD Radeon HD 6670, 12gb RAM is my potato's specs) Or you can keep playing on the worst graphic settings on a higher resolution. I prefer the former, it also gives me a weird kind of throwback to banjo and the n64's resolution. The upscaling does get a little blurry tho so its up to you. The update fixing the cutscene crash could possibly fix performance but theres no guarantee.
Welp the game runs fine in the menus for me but it crashes my amd driver in the middle of the intro cutscene '-' .. Hope theres a update soon that possibly fixes that seemingly rare issue.
first off, to all those saying that this game is a banjo wanna be, i say it isn't because of the fact that it was made by the same group of people who originally made banjo, just with a different name, that alone is enough to give it a try. Second, despite what everyone says, i'm still going to give it a try because, just because the game is bad to someone else, doesn't mean someone else wont love it, and you know what, that idea alone has gotten me to play games like sonic boom, which i actually liked despite the lack of enemies on the world map, and the bad camera when playing 2 player. and i also played mighty number 9, which i also liked. i am going to play this game with an open mind and give it a chance instead of how some people look at games and say that they are bad before even touching the game. sorry if this came out rude. i was trying to give my opinion on the game without trying to be rude in any way but i think i might have failed depending on who reads this.
Rare doesnt mean ANYTHING since microsoft bought them. this game was created by the EXACT same group that did Banjo. because the banjo-kazooie name is owned by microsoft they had to change the name and characters. THIS IS THE GAME THAT THEY WANTED TO MAKE INSTEAD OF BANJO NUTS & BOLTS! but rare and microsoft said "no, everyone wants a freeroam car game" so thats what we got. if you enjoyed games like the first 2 banjos or super mario 64, this game is for you.
hopefully you've played the game at least before casting judgement, Rare logo doesn't mean a damn thing, it's the people that make it, and it's the former Rare team of Banjo Kazooie. It's everything it said it would be, and more.
I hope we will get new patches/updates as fast as possible. I had some bad experiences with other big games on IGG which were not updated after 3 Months or longer.
i am calling it shit as well, I could care less about anything but the game experience itself, which is a slow, lacking borefest of a wanna be banjo kazooie. nevermind all the technical issues.
i see zero reviews mention it, but playtonic goes out of their way to make sure the world knows they removed him, regardless of how small a role, or un important a role. i see no reviews crying about his 3 seconds of glarbs removed. they all site the shitty design flaws and numerous other things, maybe take your head out of your ass before trying to be badass and edgy ~
What host you're using to download? Some host have fake button. You should carefully before press it. BTW, you can try download from Google, Openload, Mega,... links
If you really haven't dealt with ISOs before, get something like WinCDemu or Daemon.
It's not a good idea to get .exe installers for most games like this unless it's from GOG and/or you're 100% sure that that exe isn't going to give you computer AIDS. and honestly if you're ignorant enough think that's a good idea, I suggest running an antivirus scan from anyone other than McAfee, Norton and PC Optimizer Pro.
If you have Winrar, and any game you might've downloaded in parts, you can get the file that's in it by right-clicking it and then clicking Extract, preferably Extract to "insert filename here", unless you like dlls and exes spilling all over your downloads folder.

Because it's defenitely not Rare and it's certainly not well done
It's just a okay game dude.
