@For newbie: Don't forget crack before launching the game (otherwise you will get the "no license" error). By doing one of the following:
Method 1: before installing the game, check the following box:
Method 2: or after installing the game, open the iso file, copy everything in the "RUNE" folder, then paste them to where you installed the game, enjoy ;) (see tutorial image here if you still dont know: https://igg-games.com/how-885614657-to-install-game-and-update.html)
There is full English support via the English interface, English audio and English subtitles! (French, Italian, German, Spanish - S, Arabic) Note: The above notice is exactly what is displayed on this game's Steam page at the time of this writing (See the last screenshot below).
However, IMHO, this is misleading as "Coming soon" usually means that this game is in the Alpha/demo stage and not in the "Early Access"/mostly playable stage, never mind the full, final stage!
According to this game's official site, both the Deadman Edition and the Bloodline Edition are scheduled to be released today, March 7. The Standard Edition is scheduled to be released on March 14.
It's not clear from RUNE's .nfo file posted on xRel whether their release is the Deadman Edition or the Bloodline Edition, so it's left for you guys and gals to decide on your own, for now.
Interesting, I'l check it out in a bit and report back. If this is like other RUNE releases it should have a .ini file with all the activated DLC right?
It's possible that the .ini file references the DLCs. I haven't downloaded this game yet (It'll probably be a while before I get to it since I have other games that I haven't downloaded yet on my "To do" list that have been waiting for me to handle before this one). But please feel free to go ahead and let the community here know what you find!
Finally finished installing. While the .ini doesn't mention it, this is indeed the Bloodline edition. Looking at the content of both editions, I'm seeing that a lot of the stuff that Bloodline edition has is either for MyFaction which is online only or for console only
Thanks for this, IGG...I was curious to check some of this stuff out but there was no way in hell I was paying full or even near full price for this. Honestly, the 2K WWE games are not worth paying any more than around $20 for the ultimate edition, mostly because they're riddled with MTX and are so god damned buggy.
They'll put out one fix per DLC, each time fixing something and breaking something new, and when the last DLC comes out? Whatever bugs are left, you're stuck with, 2K has already moved on to the next half-assed game in the series.
Hey, anyone know where the save file for this game is? I made a bunch of CaC's and stuff on the old PC, and I'd rather not have to recreate them again if I can just find the save file and copy it over.
it was wwe2k22-wwe2k24 they all took up 16 gb of space in the appdata/local folder in the c drive i think after a few updates the one in 2k24 was reduced to like 8gb
I noticed it too and wondered why my C drive space was getting low. I only noticed because I was clearing out my appdata stuff and checked the WWE2k folders properties and that's where so much space went. I don't know why it dumps an 8GB file there, but even if you delete it and start the game again, it will be created back. But I have a feeling it's completely on the part of how 2k makes their games, since I have not encountered such a big file in my appdata folder from any other games here other than the WWE2k games.
2K25 doesn't have it thankfully. I know just about every game stores SOME data in that location but it's usually not even 1mb. 8GB of data there is just insane. I wonder if the other 2K games are the same, like the NBA ones for example
So I have NBA 2k21 on epic games from the free games giveaway a while back and in the AppData/roaming/2k Sports folder there's a Folder NBA2K21 taking up 5.76GB
Ok, so I've dug into this a little bit and I found a good solution. Sorry for the post being so long.
The PreBakeCache file is basically a file for anything to do with lighting like ray tracing and general lighting so that the GPU doesn't have to carry it all. But there is a way to re-route it to somewhere else if you're interested.
First, head into \Username\Appdata\Local and find the WWE 2K25 folder and delete it completely and clear the trashbin to get fully rid of it. Then open command prompt as admin (cmd.exe) and do the following with the quoteation marks: mklink /J "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\WWE 2K25" "E:\Games\WWE 2K25\cache"
You obviously need to put your username in and put in where you have your WWE 2K25 folder, this was just an example. You also may have to create the cache folder in your WWE 2K25 folder as well if the command prompt isn't able to create it.
So what you basically do is create a junction for the game to think it's writing to your C drive while actually being re-routed to the directory you give it in the second quotation mark line. I've tested it and it does create the 8GB file where I linked it to and I don't notice my game being any slower or different than before, though at first start after doing this it takes a little in the first screen to load. You could also be cheeky and delete the cache directory after doing this, breaking the junction in the Appdata folder and not have the PreBakeCache created at all. If you decide to keep the cache directory, the Appdata WWE 2K25 will still show it being in Appdata when going into it, though it's the second set directory it's actually using the files from.
So, maybe this helps if people want to prevent their C-Drive being clogged up by this. And I'm pretty sure this could also work with other games, for example save games that get put into Appdata folders, though I have not tested any other than this one.
WWE2k25 does have a PreBakeCache.bin file in Appdata/Local/WWE 2K25 which is 8GB big. And thanks to jdoggokussj2, we know that NBA2k games seemingly also follow this trend. So maybe that really is just what 2K does. It's stupid to do since that file could also be created in the actual game folder to read any info it needs but having it create an 8GB file is just insane. I mean, thankfully it's not 16GB anymore, but still, I haven't encountered anything this massive of a file for one singular game.
Ok, I see what happened, I have several user folders on my pc, each one with their own appdata folder. The wwe2k25 folder was in a different user folder than the one I normally use. I'll try your solution though
Playing like a typical WWE release from 2K for me, as in it'll play mostly OK for several hours with the usual assortment of bugs and then eventual freeze up, requiring me to ctrl-alt-del to get out of it. If I had paid for this, I'd be greatly annoyed (with 2K for the bugs and myself for buying this shit, regardless of knowing just how little they care about fixing their game), but since it was free, I'm just mildly irritated. At least they added a quick-save to character creation this game...nothing like getting deep into creating a character only to have the game crash and lose hours of work, right?
Anyways, there's been 2 updates released so far, so maybe one of those will help the people CTDing, but then you have to wonder what else they'll break with their half-assed attempts to fix their game?
EDIT: Make that 3 updates (1.03, 1.04, 1.05)...I just put in a request in the Game Request section, so now we wait.
Really? I've played several sessions that lasted several hours, no such bugs or freezes. There was one bug I faced when I started but after deleting my save it started working
my game crashes every time I am trying to load into a match. The loading bar gets halfway then crashes to desktop. I've installed the crack as needed and my specs are RTX 3090/ I913900K / 64GB RAM.
Just because you applied the crack, doesnt mean its still there. If you antivirus software is on, or its not set to "exclude" where this game is installed, that will create the "no license" issue (that usually comes with a missing crack, or no launch).
usually, not launching however will consist of "bad drivers, lack of system specs, or both". So, make sure you have installed the latest C++ redist, net framework, and GPU drivers. To ensure the game has prerequisites to work.
It may also be wise to check the specs needed, compared to what you have. take caution, just because you have a 4c 8t cpu from years ago. Does not mean it has the proper instruction set needed to run. See this happen quite alot, although its rare enough to overlook. It still happens enough with newer games, that someone may not think about because they run other demanding games that are older, just fine.
Well now, the steam reviews are not painting this game in a good light. Between too many MTX and content being exclusive to console, including a brand new mode and a whole lot of crashing issues. EDIT: And I'm already experiencing said crashes right after I make my superstar in MyRise, crashes during loading EDIT 2: Ok, if yall have the same issue as me just delete your save and then MyRise will work
Why is the Fu***** Supercharger always on? I want to earn the stuff and not get everything for free, every Year the same, and i dont know how to avoid that, i even deleted the stuff from the Steam_emu but did not work, anyone a solution?
Finally finished installing. While the .ini doesn't mention it, this is indeed the Bloodline edition. Looking at the content of both editions, I'm seeing that a lot of the stuff that Bloodline edition has is either for MyFaction which is online only or for console only
Yes, I edited that reply because when I made it, I had only looked at the .ini file and it doesn't mention the Bloodline edition content. However when you get into the game you get notifications for the Bloodline content. But, like I said, it's mostly MyFaction content which is online only
