When I patch the game with update 1.22.11 this happens whenever i try to start a new game or when I have a cutscene in a previous save. Both the 1.21 versions work fine
How to apply the v1.20.10 update? I ran PATCH.exe and set game directory, but encoutered error message "The program has detected that this update is not available for your game version."
After 1.22.11 update unity handler shows error when starting new game after the opening background text. Says something about Assertion failed: LeaderboardName. Kindly Fix.

Oha,what a surprise.I checked this game on Steam,right the moment i saw it here. It seems this game is more like a octopath traveler than a tactics game:
Multiple endings,alot Characters to form a group(3-4)from, Wuxia-Theme,chinese Lore(Myths?), alot and i mean alot to do(different ways to levelup,crafting etc.)
Nice graphic as you can see for yourself,only downsides besides his complexity is no ui/ux scaling means it is set to at least 1080p(for steam deck players only dock playable),abit off with gamepads/controller(?).
But what i cant get my head around why they used these fonts(letters,words etc) in chats/dialogs, inventory etc. the most simple looking and immersion breaking fonts. While it is made with unreal engine 4,it looks like unity-engine,when it comes to fonts. They wanna make a great game,but somehow using Fonts which are totally unfitting but maybe because its less resource demanding? IDK
I believe its due to a fault on the crack and not on the game, since it says access violation on the error. I am not very knowledgable on the matter though. Let's hope it does!
Patch is not working for me, it says the patcher detected that I have the wrong game version, I guess the patch 1.20.2 doesn't include 1.20.1 or something.
strange, it works perfectly from my side. Have you tried launching the game at "...\Wandering_Sword\Binaries\Win64\JH-Win64-Shipping.exe"? Do you crash right after clicking on the exe file?

kind of a late reply, but wat happens was i downloaded the 1.23.20 for the brief period it was up, theres something wrong with that patch that makes the game crash everytime i open a chest
sounds like that AV is really annoying :D. I just use windows def, so it's pretty easy. Besides, "Wacatac.B!m" is actually a false positive, AVs will always warn any installer created by inno setup
Unfortunately, using this step doesn't work. I'm using Logitech F310. Before add to Steam: mapping issues and D-pad not working after first cutscene. After add to Steam: Even worse. Only Start Menu responded to D-pad. YXBA all not responding.
