4/5

This game is a high 4/5 in my standard, like 4.6/5, but in the end, it's still not 5/5. A very good game, but it can't compete with the true 5/5 game I've rated. But I only give a 5/5 rating very, very rarely, like 3 times a year. So this game stands out as a good game.

The gameplay does not change very much from the first one, which is called "Vivid Knight." This vivid world is a sequel to that game. But you can build synergies much more easily in many more ways than in the first game.

Both the main character and the fighting unit are very cute. The voice acting of the fighting is very good.

About the synergies, now you can apply gear (the game calls it "orbs") to enhance each character and give them more unique skills and help to build synergy in more various ways than the previous game. One big problem of the first game is that once the difficulty ramps up higher, it quickly becomes a "slot machine simulator". Since all you need to do is to get as much money as possible and roll as many times as possible in the hopes of landing some good characters for you to merge into higher forms. But in the sequel, you don't rely on money as much. And the spells that are cast by the player can be much more useful than in the first game. You can level up spells into higher forms, combine different spells to give them a combined effect. Much more rounded gameplay. You don't solely rely on money, even though you still heavily, heavily rely on money as a way to gamble on the "slot machine" to roll characters.

The story is pretty cute, but it felt like it came straight from a kindergarten storybook. Good story for kindergarten girls, not so much for adults. If you want to read the story, you can, but I would suggest you just click skip on everything because nothing is important. It's like kindergarteners' chitchat.

I will provide you with a save that is not 100%, but I've managed to get more than what you'd need. I've unlocked every unlockable, and on top of that, I completed the story mode. I mean, the story doesn't really add up to anything, so you don't miss anything. If you want to get a brand new experience, you can start from save slot 2, but this game grinds quite a lot in the beginning, so be aware that you might spend 20 hours to get to the point where my save has been. If you want to know what cards, what characters, what synergies you can build, then you can continue from my half-finished save. If you want to get a brand new experience, you may start a new game on save slot 2.

That said, if you did not play the first game, then I would recommend you to start from a new save because first you need to learn how this game works, because the tutorial is built into the beginning of the save. So at least play the tutorial to know what you're supposed to do. If you've played the first game before, then I would suggest you just watch the cinematic at the beginning and then continue from my half finished save because we really didn't miss anything, if you've played the first game.

Here is the save https://workupload.com/file/Pdfe32Kbgvv First, you start the game once, so you got a save folder somewhere on your computer. Then place the "SaveData" folder in \AppData\LocalLow\Asobism\VividWorld

FYI, if you want to grind on higher difficulty legitimately, you can wait for the mobile release. The first game was released on mobile. Based on the UI design of the second game, it was also designed for mobile play in mind. I believe very quickly the game will be released on the App Store, Play Store, and Switch just like the first game.

Just by looking at the banner picture, I immediately knew it was the same company made the "vivid knight". I'm 100% going to play this game and probably "100% this game" as well.
