Since it's an old game the Live Games accounts and Games for Windows are obsolete. But if you're reading this it means that suddenly you got the urge to play it today (like me) and you want to save your game without an account. I found the solution that worked for me in 2020: 1 For now download the torrent file (I don't know if the parts are still up) from their site. Look up and click in torrent site. 2. Mount, install. Follow the instruction of the Admin except the part of installing Games for Windows. *If you see some gibberish texts in the windows setup ignore it. Click the next button, the one with the " > " symbol. 3. You will need 2 files: xlive.dll & xlive.ini The rar file is in here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1H9GgIr_7gWnm0nrRqPc-pBGiVsr6wba2 File name: savegame_fix.rar 4. download, extract the 2 files in the folder where you installed the game (You can right click the direct access of the game exe and choose "open file location") If some pop up tells you to replace some files ( it didnt happen to me, but just in case), just accept. ... From there you can safely play and save your progress without an official xbox/windows account. You can modify your player name opening the xboxlive.ini with some c++ program, or just the notepad. And change it in "Username = yourname ". ... Big thanks to this guys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoM6w2VVslU check out if you want more details.
what program are you using to mount the iso file? That happened to me with other games, after 15 minutes the installation begins. No clue if it's something to do with hardware support. I used Daemon tools lite to open it and choose quick mount. Then I click the setup icon with the picture of the eye and installed it. The thing that looked weird was the gibberish text, other than that it worked correctly. https://i.ibb.co/S7mbJyk/capture.jpg
It straight up doesn't work, I left it running and it did nothing. It wasn't responding, people below were saying the same thing. But luckily, in the video you posted of the guide, the creator posted a google link to a working copy of the game and everything works perfectly! So if anyone is having issues, I would go there. Not sure why this copy didn't.
bruh wtf. I downloaded it and when mounting nothing fucking happens. The icon shows up and thats it. Nothing else. I mounted properly, tried it 5 times and more, nothing.
When I launch it, it doesnt show me any texts in the white boxes, and when i go to play (click on the boots) it crashes and i have to restart my pc. I have windows 10 please help, I really want to play this game!!!!
When I try to launch the game I get an error messages saying file "X3DAudio1_1.dll" is missing, but I extracted all 5 parts and installed everything without any issues so I don't know what I should do :/
Did anyone get a sound problem? after a day i cant get the sound to fix. there's no sound? and only on the game part the scenes before there sound even the viva pinata song intro. does anyone know what i could try to fix it?
If anyone else is getting this error "The ordinal 43 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\xlive.dll." use this GFWL version instead: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=201134
just mount and install. if you cant read what the install: click the left button at the bottom, then start clicking the middle button until you get to the language section. one install option will be russian and the other will be english. start clicking the middle button at the bottom again to get to the install part. to run the game i just had to run as admin.
If anyone is wondering how to get the setup working, make sure to have admin rights on the setup as well as compatibility for Windows XP (Service Pack 3), and make sure you have installed all the files from Redist. With that done, open the start menu and type 'msconfig' before hitting enter. Go to the services tab, look for 'Cryptographic Services' and uncheck the box beside it. It'll ask you to restart your pc, simply press the restart button and let it do its thing. Now, when you run the setup, it should run perfectly fine!
i cant install it... the icon will appear in my taskbar when i run setup.exe, but it doesnt respond at all... i use windows 10 (64bit) and tried it with all compatibility modes etc, but it still doesnt work. other people say it runs on windows 10, so surely there must be a way to run it, right? :/
I have same probleme people in the comments have, i mounted it, and when i try to launch the setup, it juste say "not responding". I tried as administrator, with different compatibilities (xp, vista 7) but nothing work, has someone a solution ?
Windows 10 - Mounted with Daemon tools lite and hit setup but nothing happens. (shows as not responding) brother using the same files running windows 8 - works perfectly tried everything previously mentioned, any solutions?
Windows XP Is NOT supported by this game - I had original disc and contacted microsoft about it.. They said they no longer support windows xp so they are not able to fix it.
IGG-GAMES Your really the best and this site is really the best game site EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please accept my humble congratulations for your hard work!!!
Mount and install. Launch the game, and when it asks you to create an Live Games user account. Simply click it away, and select Games for Windows Live again. Now click create an account. You have to read through a ''i agree'' page if I remember correctly, but between the lines there's a link saying: create local account.
Please run the installer under Administrator Rights and select the compatipility for Windows XP, also make sure you do accept and install the GFWL that comes with the installer and all the Redist including the DirectX

And to save your game, go and "startup" your game to the title screen and create a "Games For Windows Live" profile and instead of continuing, scroll down and click on "create local account".
