But they've just stuck to that hack and slash and endless cutscenes formula for 25 years? Probably at least since the PS1 days, they really got stuck in it in the PS2 days.
The PS2 days was probably when they first had the CPU and storage power to get stuck on oversized endless cutscenes, and 50 NPC's on screen for endless waves of hack and slashing.

Game "journalist" slaped a 8 9 or 10 to all the recent cringe inducing DEI slop that flopped harder than my reputation in highschool. I think nowadays gaming website are the last thing you should take into account to be honest :x
