For those who got this mesage "The procedure entry point MiniDumpWriteDump..." what worked for me was to change the name of dbghelp.dll to dbghelp_old.dll (always make a copy just in case) in the binaries folder, and then running it from the Victoria3.exe in that same folder. Still get an error wich i can skip, takes long to initializes but at least can play.
Dude. I don't know if you'r a hero or a lucky charm, but I had this exact problem, and your solution is just as good as you said ! Long initialisation but playable, no skippable errors on my side though, wich is good.
Most PDX launches are quite rough, but also virtually all PDX games when lauched rough are more of crude gems rather than downright trash. It's sad that they didn't bring a good game on the get go, but they can definetly improve. Shit like the military can easily be improved by adding features to the mechanic's foundation, which itself is a good foundation (but what's over the foundation is alas lackluster)
And I wouldn't worry about having to pay tons of DLC to have the game fixed (let's pretend this isn't a piracy site hahaha). Paradox has failed attrociously with a game before in recent times, Imperator Rome, and they managed to revamp it and update it until it was an actual great game. Without asking for 1 extra euro from you
They did abandon imperator, but it's because it was a new IP and PDX most likely couldn't afford to mantain it, vicky is a renowned IP, no way it will be abandoned
It won't be abandoned, they will milk it endlessly like their every game, it's Paradox. Yeah, every game can be somewhat improved with zillion DLCs and even more mods, with hundreds of people dedicating their free time to make the game better (and then Paradox stealing their ideas). I've been modding their games since Vic2 and EU3 but this crap is so dull, boring, flawed, I see no reason to actually waste time on it... paradoxically, the game looks too complex and complicated but at the same time it's too shallow and way too simplified in all important areas, not just military.
IMO 19th century is perhaps the most interesting period in history, from Napoleonic wars to WW1, age of nationalism, imperialism, conservativism, liberalism, technological advance, geostrategic games on global scale. Ideal for grand strategy setting. Yet they made this?? Simulation of something... whatever it is it very little to do with history. Quasi economical simulation of Paradox modifiers and more modifiers with some Mickey Mouse generic 3d kings and peasants. Huge disappointment, 12? years for this c....
I really want to play this game But they sell this game for 4 times more than the minimum wage in my country. Imagine that you have to work 4 days without buying food to buy this game. While Europeans and Americans can buy this game with only 4 hours of work. For middle class people, This is just a colonial-era theme game. But for me this is a simulation of the colonial life of being the bad guy for find a $200 game to play.
Don't bother, it's a terrible game. It's a simulation of Paradox modifiers, buffs, debuffs, and even more Paradox modifiers with very little to do with history.
Victoria 2 (with mods) even with all its countless flaws is still 100000x better than this c..p

Always check both the installation and the resulting game files with Malwarebytes and even double-check suspicious files with VirusTotal. Assume that nothing you download from the web is 100% safe. Especially something that is fresh from the oven like a hyped up game.
or if u want even more safety u can just use sandboxie aswell. it shows you every process the .exe opens and if there is a virus, you can just kill all processes and delete the files.
To update to Update 1.1.0: (Recommended to re-install game to not deal with bugs/glitches)
If you haven't updated to 1.0.6, download and unzip files into game directory.
Download Update 1.1.0 files.
Turn off anti-virus and any real-time threat protection. There is a patcher program you must use, but your anti-virus system will try to delete.
After turning off your anti-virus, run "Patch.exe" and patch into your game directory.
Your game is now updated to Earl Grey (1.1.0). If you encounter any problems, you are most likely missing an anti-virus feature to turn off or you sent the patch files into the wrong directory.
I've just come down from a fever so maybe i'm not understanding it right.
My anti virus is off (it never triggered in the first place) but the thing keeps telling me "Unable to find applicaiton in chosen directory!". I tried the binaries folder and the launcher folder. then I tried copying the patch data over to the game directory and tried the two folders again.
I thought Crusader Kings 3 was bare at launch but holy cow Paradox released Victoria as a shallow janky mess. The game crashed twice on me and all I was doing was looking at the market numbers.

1- go to where ur "paradox interactive" folder is (will probably be in your documents folder) 2-open the folder and open the Victoria 3 folder 3-create a new folder called "mod" inside 4-put ur downloaded mod inside that folder (if the mod is .rar extract it first)

at the "Anbeeld's Revision of AI" section of the path all the mod's content should be visible to you not just another folder that has the mod's contents
make sure that when u open the downloaded mod's folder that u see all of the mod's contents directly not just another folder that contains all the mod's contents
Yeah, if you can't launch the game. That means your CPU does not have AVX. It means You are forced to buy a new cpu that has AVX support and play the game. To all poor gamers who doesn't have a AVX support cpu just skipped this and dont download even this is your long awaited game. or Just buy a new cpu that has AVX support.

your friend got a malware from "somewhere else", not "this". I guess he downloaded something from somewhere else, or downloaded the ads file, instead of the game file. Please tell him that as long as he downloads the virus from here and proves it, I will immediately send $1000 to him as compensation. I don't think any website has this policy except IGG.
You cracked it before start game? After install, you must open .iso file, you will see "RUNE" folder, copy all files in that folder and paste to your game's dir, enjoy ;)
If the game keeps crashing its probably because you havent got enough RAM. I have 16gb and that isnt enough. I figured this out because when I get the crash it also messes up the tabs in my Chrome explorer so its an issue of RAM.
Its remarkable just how badly Paradox has messed this game series up. From the very beginning it was basically a mobile game in terms of depth, where wars would go on forever because there was no way to fight each other without a frontline. Despite being so simple it still had terrible performance issues with lag toward the end of the 19th century.
Now the game just flat out doesnt work. They have managed to make Victoria 3 into a bland and yet overcomplex simulator that just refuses to run on most mid-upper configurations.
I have an issue when playing the game. The infamy doesn't appear when starting a diplomatic play (there is only a blank where it should say "demanding .... will result in a diplomatic play giving xx infamy to the player"). On the other hand when making additional demands during the diplomatic play, infamy does show up.... Is anyone having the same issue as me ? Can it be fixed easily ?
I have been struggling to get a big war to test stuff, so I cant tell you if it is a known error or how to fix it, but you might want to try their forum and look for the bug there. Also their current version is 1.5.9 and this version is 1.5.7 so they had some bug fixes, maybe your problem is already fixed

I am having a issue i saved my game and then i closed my pc afterwards when i went to play again no save game of mine was getting read, the save games are still there i went to bunch of places but none gave me the answer so if you do know how to fix it pls say by the way i tryed getting the game again and it didnt work made my victoria 3 documents out didnt work and not only does it not read but too doesnt let me save the game thx.Another thing there is some files like launcher-v2.sqlite, dlc signature and pops file storage.index that simply cant be executed as they are completely blank i dont think they are supposed to be like that if anybody knows something thank you.
This happened to me after my computer shutdown due to power outage while I was playing the game. I found no solution besides creating a new user account to my computer just to play Vic3. It fixed it for me.
extract part one wherever you like, then extract part two into part one, then to play go into the files, then binaries then to the one that says victoria3.exe
The way i do it , is just download a mod online and drag and drop it into your game folder. you then get a extra button on the screen allowing for the debug menu to be openened

yes, you need to log in with paradox account and then host, when you hosted you need to give the other person lobby id which is somewhere on the left down side of the screen (in map choosing mode)
AVX may have been introduced in 2008, however many CPUs for years after that didn't actually have it. I personally have an X5680, which has higher performance (even in gaming) than the average gamer's cpu today, yet no AVX support.
NGL I have a 2017 processor It is a intel pentium and I know that this kind of processor doesn't have a avx but it is a 2017 processor that's why I hope PDX will remove the avx because some of the latest processor have no avx some has it. But I will have to save up 3 or 4 months worth of rent, food, electricity and water cause I have a minimum wage job still in college just to buy a new mobo ( motherboard) and CPU (processor) just to play victoria 3.

Generals very much advance fronts IF you tell them to do it, maybe you have indeed come across a bug, but it's not a generally broken feature
I tried editing the iso and changing the install folder in the config.py it did nothing :(
