No reason to wait for it. The publisher fired original devs behind the first Bloodlines. The new devs have zero clue what are they doing, so better brace yourself for a huge disappointment if you have high hopes for the game.

Be that as it may I still want to give it a chance. If it has the same kind of gameplay as the original and the same level of writing I can ignore whatever small flaws it may have

Thats the thing... both the gameplay and the writing is under a big question mark now from what they have shown us so far. Not trying to bring you down or anything, just want to temper your expectations, because the disappointment might be too painful otherwise. Just telling you all this as one gamer and pirate to another :)
