I play JRPGs too, but they don't necessarily have to be this Heavy on the dialogue, even for JRPG standards this is more than average I'm sure.

Since when did a jrpg being more then 50% talking become normal?. At this point might as well play a visual novel if that's your standard for a jrpg.

Just saying the game is ass in terms of strategic gameplay. if you want actual strategy similar to this try tactics ogre or fellseal instead.

This is what is now know as HD-2D styled tactical role-playing game, and yes it is doen by the same developer Square Enix. They even did a Dragon Quest HD-2D Remake.
